Theannular plate 12 has opposingside sections 18 andopposing ends sections 20. Theopposing side sections 18 are linear. Theopposing end sections 20 are arcuate. Afirst rim 22 is coupled to and extends perpendicularly from theannular plate 12 adjacent to theinside edge 14. Asecond rim 24 is coupled to and extends perpendicularly from theannular plate 12 adjacent to theoutside edge 16. - A plurality of
first magnets 26 is coupled to theannular plate 12. Thefirst magnets 26 are positioned in a plurality ofrows 28. Eachrow 28 extends annularly around theannular plate 12. Therows 28 are substantially evenly spaced between theinside edge 14 and theoutside edge 16. In one embodiment, the plurality ofrows 28 comprises threerows 28. - The
toy 10 comprises acar 30 that comprises a plurality ofsecond magnets 32. Thesecond magnets 32 are positioned on thecar 30 such that thesecond magnets 32 are positioned to repel thefirst magnets 26 to suspend thecar 30 above theannular plate 12. Thecar 30 comprises ahousing 34 and a plurality ofrollers 36. The plurality ofsecond magnets 32 is coupled to abottom 38 of thehousing 34. The plurality ofsecond magnets 32 is positioned in a plurality oflines 40. Thelines 40 are parallel. In one embodiment, the plurality oflines 40 comprises threelines 40. In another embodiment, the plurality ofsecond magnets 32 comprises eighteensecond magnets 32. - The plurality of
rollers 36 is rotationally coupled to aside 42 of thehousing 34. Eachroller 36 comprises a pair ofarms 44 that extends perpendicularly from theside 42 of thehousing 34. Awheel 46 is positioned between the pair ofarms 44 and is rotationally coupled to each of the pair ofarms 44. Thewheel 46 is perpendicular to theside 42 of thehousing 34. In one embodiment, the plurality ofrollers 36 comprises tworollers 36 that are positioned singly proximate to opposing ends 48 of thehousing 34. Therollers 36 are positioned on thehousing 34 such that therollers 36 are positioned to rotate along thesecond rim 24 as thecar 30 is motivated around theannular plate 12. - In use, the
second magnets 32 are positioned on thecar 30 such that thesecond magnets 32 are positioned to repel thefirst magnets 26 to suspend thecar 30 above theannular plate 12. Thefirst rim 22 and thesecond rim 24 are positioned on theannular plate 12 such that thefirst rim 22 and thesecond rim 24 are positioned to retain thecar 30 between thefirst rim 22 and thesecond rim 24. Thecar 30 is configured to be motivated around theannular plate 12 by a pushing action of a user. - With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
- Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
