  • The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWING(S)
  • The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
  • FIG. 1 is a perspective kit view of a portable air conditioning assembly according to an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 2 is a right side view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 3 is a cross sectional view taken along line 3-3 of FIG. 2 of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 4 is a cross sectional view taken along line 4-4 of FIG. 3 of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 5 is a left side view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1 through 5 thereof, a new air conditioning device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be described.
  • As best illustrated in FIGS. 1 through 5, the portable air conditioning assembly 10 generally comprises a box 12 that has a bottom wall 14 and an outer wall 16 extending upwardly therefrom. The outer wall 16 has a distal edge 18 with respect to the bottom wall 14. The distal edge 18 defines an opening 20 to access an interior of the box 12. The box 12 may be comprised of a thermally insulating material or the like.
  • The outer wall 16 has a first lateral side 22 and a second lateral side 24. The first lateral side 22 has a first opening 25 extending therethrough. The second lateral side 24 has a second opening 26 extending therethrough. The outer wall 16 has an inner surface 28 and an outer surface 30. The box 12 may contain ice 32 thereby facilitating the ice 32 to cool an interior of the box 12. The ice 32 may comprise frozen water and dry ice 32.
  • A lid 34 is provided. The lid 34 is hingedly coupled to the box 12. The lid 34 is positioned on the distal edge 18 and the lid 34 selectively closes and opens the box 12. The lid 34 may be comprised of a thermally insulating material or the like.
  • A handle 36 is hingedly coupled to the box 12 and the handle 36 may be gripped. The handle 36 comprises a central member 38 extending between a pair of lateral members 40. Each of the lateral members 40 is hingedly coupled to an associated one of the first lateral side 22 and the second lateral side 24 of the box 12. Each of the lateral members 40 has a distal end 42 with respect to the central member 38.
  • Each of the lateral members 40 has a bend 44 thereon. The bend 44 corresponding to each of the lateral members 40 is positioned closer to the distal end 42 than the central member 38. Thus, the distal end 42 corresponding to each of the lateral members 40 is directed at an angle away from the corresponding lateral member.
  • Each of the lateral members 40 has an opening 46 extending therethrough. The opening 46 corresponding to each of the lateral members 40 is positioned adjacent to the distal end 42 of the corresponding lateral member. The handle 36 is positioned in a stored position. The distal end 42 corresponding to each of the lateral members 40 extends upwardly from the lid 34. The handle 36 is positioned in a deployed position having the central member 38 being spaced from the lid 34.
  • A shoulder strap 48 is provided. The shoulder strap 48 is removably coupled to the handle 36 to facilitate the box 12 to be carried. The shoulder strap 48 has a first end 50 and a second end 52. The shoulder strap 48 includes a pair of fasteners 54. Each of the fasteners 54 is coupled to an associated one of the first end 50 and the second end 52. Each of the fasteners 54 removably engages the opening 46 in an associated one of the lateral members 40 when the handle 36 is positioned in the stored position. Each of the fasteners 54 may comprise a D-ring or the like.
  • A fan unit 56 is provided and the fan unit 56 is coupled to the box 12. The fan unit 56 urges air inwardly with respect to the box 12. The fan unit 56 includes a baffle 58 where to direct to air into the ice 32 thereby facilitating the ice 32 to cool the air. The fan unit 56 urges the cooled air outwardly from the box 12 thereby facilitating the cooled air to cool a user.
  • The fan unit 56 comprises a fan 60 that is coupled to the inner surface 28 of the outer wall 16. The fan 60 is aligned with the first opening 25. Thus, the fan 60 urges air inwardly through the first opening 25 when the fan 60 is turned on. The fan 60 may comprise an electric fan 60 or the like.
  • The baffle 58 is coupled to the inner surface 28 of the outer wall 16 and the baffle 58 is positioned to cover the fan 60. The baffle 58 has a lower end 62 and the lower end 62 is open. The lower end 62 is directed toward the bottom wall 14 of the box 12. Thus, the lower end 62 directs the air downwardly toward the bottom wall 14.
