Description

CROSS REFERENCE TO THE RELATED APPLICATION
  • This application is a continuation-in-part application of a U.S. patent application with application Ser. No. 14/790,011, filed on Jul. 2, 2015.
  • BACKGROUND Technical Field
  • The embodiment herein generally relates to supporting cushions and more particularly to sweat-absorbent supporting cushions.
  • Description of the Related Art
  • Every human being perspires when the ambient temperature rises above body temperature. Perspiration removes unwanted salts along with sweat from the body. If the sweat remains on the skin for a long time, it may cause rashes. Women, generally, have a tendency to perspire around their bra line, especially when under stress, at work, or when performing physical activity. Excessive unwanted perspiration results in embarrassing odors, sweat stains, or eventually discoloration of the surrounding clothes. The user may sometimes need to wash the affected areas of the bra, which increases the amount of wear and tear on the bra thereby decreasing the life of the bra. It becomes expensive to have to constantly replace worn down bras, especially for women with a unique bra size who must specially order bra to fit the specific measurements.
  • While various solutions have been proposed to tackle the problem, none has been successfully implemented to address the needs of women suffering from breast perspiration. It is acknowledged that other devices have been developed for wear under the breast, but they are purposefully relatively thick and bulky and intended for cosmetic, uplift purposes. Some pads have been developed to absorb perspiration; however, they are either bulky, address mainly the area between the breasts, or address the entire under area of the breast from underarm to cleavage. Such pads are too bulky and obvious as to not provide discretion of wearing by the user.
  • Accordingly there remains a need for a cheap and an efficient solution to the problem of sweat absorption under breasts.
  • SUMMARY
  • In view of the foregoing, an embodiment herein provides an apparatus for absorbing sweat from under or behind breast that includes a pair of cushions. The pair of cushions is worn by a user without a bra. In an embodiment, the pair of cushions is worn by the user with the bra. The bra includes a pair of cups. Each cushion of the pair of cushions couples to bottom of each cup of the pair of cups of the bra.
  • In one embodiment, the cushion is stitched from bottom to bottom of the cup of the bra. The cushion is made up of a sweat absorbing and anti-allergic material. In one embodiment, the sweat absorbing and anti-allergic material is cotton. The top portion of the cushion is curved in shape. The cushion fits behind the breast and is powder and perfume free. In one embodiment, the cushion is sterile. In another embodiment, the cushion is disposable. In yet another embodiment, the cushion is washable.
  • In another aspect of the present invention an apparatus is provided for absorbing sweat from under or behind breast. The apparatus includes a pair of disposable cushions. Each cushion of the pair of disposable cushions is made up of cotton and stitched to each cup of a pair of cups of a bra. The top portion of the cushion is curved in shape. The cushion fits behind the breast. The cushion is powder and perfume free. The cushion is sterile. The cushion is washable.

The figure shows the cushion 102 being inserted into the space between the breast 302 and the chest portion of the body of a user. The top of the cushion 102 is so shaped that the curves of the cushion follow the breast shape for better absorption. The shape of the cushion 102 allows the absorption of sweat from the area behind the breast.
  • FIG. 4 illustrates the side view of the breast 302 with the cushion 102 according to an embodiment herein. In one embodiment, the cushion 102 may be used without the bra. The cushion 102 stays at a particular position using one or more tabs.
  • The heat from the breast can cause rashes and sores, so the cushion aids in the absorption of moisture that can accumulate behind/under the breast. The cushion may be stitched to a bra. The cushion is disposable and can be unstitched and thrown, once used. Washable cushion are also available that can be washed after unstitching once used. The cushion is made up of cotton based products, hence safe to use, unlike pads that contain powder and perfume.
