The sleeve is configured to substantially cover the mattress. A first perimeter portion of a covering is coupled to a foot end and opposing longitudinal sections of the sleeve. The covering, which is substantially complementary to an upper surface of the mattress, and the sleeve define a pocket bounded by the foot end and the opposing longitudinal sections of the sleeve. A second perimeter portion, which is not coupled to the sleeve, is configured for entry of the user into the pocket. The covering is coupled to the sleeve such that the covering is positionally restrained relative to the sleeve. The covering is readily repositioned over the sleeve upon exiting of the user from the pocket.

Description

BACKGROUND OF THE DISCLOSURE Field of the Disclosure
  • The disclosure relates to bedding assemblies and more particularly pertains to a new bedding assembly for retention of bedding and facile remaking of a bed.
  • SUMMARY OF THE DISCLOSURE
  • An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a sleeve that is configured for insertion of a mattress.
  • There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
  • The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
  • FIG. 1 is an isometric perspective view of a bedding assembly according to an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 2 is a side view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 3 is a top view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 4 is a bottom view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 5 is an in-use view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 6 is a cross-sectional view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1 through 6 thereof, a new bedding assembly embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be described.
  • As best illustrated in FIGS. 1 through 6, the bedding assembly 10 generally comprises a sleeve 12 that is configured for insertion of a mattress. The sleeve 12 is complementary to the mattress and configured to substantially cover the mattress. The sleeve 12 comprises an opening 14 that is complementary to an end of the mattress. The opening 14 is configured for end-first insertion of the mattress into the sleeve 12. The sleeve 12 comprises cloth. Preferably, the sleeve 12 comprises blended cotton and polyester. More preferably, the sleeve 12 comprises polyester.
  • The assembly 10 comprises a covering 16 that is substantially complementary to an upper surface of the mattress. A first perimeter portion 18 of the covering 16 is coupled to a foot end 20 and opposing longitudinal sections 22 of the sleeve 12. The covering 16 and the sleeve 12 define a pocket 24 bounded by the foot end 20 and the opposing longitudinal sections 22 of the sleeve 12. The pocket 24 is configured for positioning of a user. The covering 16 comprises cloth. The covering 16 may comprise a blanket 26. The covering 16 may comprise a comforter 28.
  • The first perimeter portion 18 of the covering 16 comprises a first fastener 30. The foot end 20 and the opposing longitudinal sections 22 of the sleeve 12 comprise a second fastener 32. The second fastener 32 is complementary to the first fastener 30. The second fastener 32 is positioned to couple to the first fastener 30 to reversibly couple the covering 16 to the sleeve 12. The first fastener 30 and the second fastener 32 may comprise a plurality of snap fasteners 34. The first fastener 30 and the second fastener 32 may comprise a plurality of button-button hole fasteners 36. The first fastener 30 and the second fastener 32 may comprise a hook and loop fastener 38.
  • Preferably, the first perimeter portion 18 is resilient. The first perimeter portion 18 is positioned on the covering 16 such that the first perimeter portion 18 is configured to stretch to accommodate a user positioned in the pocket 24. Preferably, the first perimeter portion 18 comprises elastic.
  • A pouch 40 is coupled to the sleeve 12 proximate to the opening 14. The pouch 40 is positioned on the sleeve 12 such that the pouch 40 is configured to hang over the end of the mattress. Preferably, the pouch 40 is substantially rectangularly shaped and is substantially centrally positioned on the opening 14. The pouch 40 is complementarily sized to a depth of the mattress. The pouch 40 comprises cloth. Preferably, the pouch 40 comprises blended cotton and polyester. More preferably, the pouch 40 comprises polyester.
  • The present invention also anticipates a bed skirt coupled to a lower circumference 42 of the sleeve 12.
  • In use, a second perimeter portion 44 of the covering 16 is not coupled to the sleeve 12. The second perimeter portion 44 is configured for entry of the user into the pocket 24. The covering 16 is coupled to the sleeve 12 such that the covering 16 is positionally restrained relative to the sleeve 12. The covering 16 is readily repositioned over the sleeve 12 upon exiting of the user from the pocket 24.
  • With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
