  • It will be appreciated that for simplicity and clarity of illustration, where appropriate, reference numerals have been repeated among the different figures to indicate corresponding or analogous components. In addition, numerous specific details are set forth in order to provide a thorough understanding of the embodiments described herein. However, it will be understood by those of ordinary skill in the art that the embodiments described herein can be practiced without these specific details. In other instances, methods, procedures, and components have not been described in detail so as not to obscure the related relevant feature being described. Also, the description is not to be considered as limiting the scope of the embodiments described herein. The drawings are not necessarily to scale and the proportions of certain parts may be exaggerated to better illustrate details and features of the present disclosure.
  • Several definitions that apply throughout this disclosure will now be presented.
  • The term “substantially” is defined to be essentially conforming to the particular dimension, shape, or other feature that the term modifies, such that the component need not be exact. For example, “substantially cylindrical” means that the object resembles a cylinder, but can have one or more deviations from a true cylinder. The term “comprising” when utilized, means “including, but not necessarily limited to”; it specifically indicates open-ended inclusion or membership in the so-described combination, group, series and the like.
  • The present disclosure is described in relation to a packing case. The packing case includes a base and a box removably mounted to the base. The box includes at least two side plates fixed to each other. The at least two side plates can move from the base along a first direction perpendicular to a plane with the base. The box can move from the base along a second direction parallel to the plane with the base.
  • FIG. 1 illustrates one embodiment of a packing case 100. The packing case 100 is used to pack goods 30. The packing case 100 includes a base 10 and a box 20 removably mounted to the base 10.
  • The base 10 defines a plurality of locking holes 12 (see in FIG. 5). The box 20 includes a foldable shell 22 (see in FIG. 2) and a plurality of locking members 24 mounted on the shell 22. The shell 22 is folded to form a first side plate 220, a second side plate 221, a third side plate 222, a forth side plate 223, a fifth side plate 224 and four covers 225. The third side plate 222 and the forth side plate 223 extend from opposite sides of the fifth side plate 224. The first side plate 220 extends from the third side plate 222. The second side plate 221 extends from the forth side plate 223. The four covers 225 respectively extend from the second side plate 221, the third side plate 222, the forth side plate 223, and the fifth side plate 224. The third side plate 222 can be substantially parallel to each other. The plurality of locking members 24 is mounted to the third side plate 222 and the second side plate 221. The plurality of locking members 24, mounted to the second side plate 221, can be arranged at a first straight line, and the first straight line can be located on a first direction that is perpendicular to a plane defined by the base 10. The plurality of locking members 24, mounted to the third side plate 222, can be aligned at a second straight line, and the second straight line can be located on a second direction that is perpendicular to the first direction. The first side plate 220 defines the plurality of locking holes 12 corresponding to the plurality of locking members 24 mounted to the second side plate 221. In at least one embodiment, a width of the box 20, which is located on the first direction, is greater than a width of the base 10.
  • FIG. 2 illustrates a cross-sectional view in the packing case 100. Each locking member 24 includes a frame 240, an elastic portion 242, and two locking pieces 244 extending from the elastic portion 242. The elastic portion 242 is connected to the frame 240. A gap 246 is defined between the two locking pieces 244. The two locking pieces 244 extend in opposite directions.
  • FIGS. 3-4 illustrate the box 20 mounted to the base 10. The elastic portion 242 is forced to deform to drive the two locking pieces 244 to tilt and to extend into one of the plurality of locking holes 12. When the force disappears, the two locking pieces 244 restore the deformation, and an edge of each locking hole 12 is clamped between the two locking pieces 244 and the shell 22. The plurality of locking members 24 mounted to the second side plate 221 is engaged with the plurality of locking holes 12 defined in the first side plate 220. The plurality of locking members 24 mounted to the third side plate 222 is engaged with the plurality of locking holes 12 defined in the base 10 to fix the box 20 to the base 10. The four covers 225 are folded with each other and are sealed by tape 40. A connecting portion of the second side plate 221 and the third side plate 222 is sealed by the tape 40.
  • When the goods 30 need to be moved out of the packing case 100, the tape 40 is ripped off. The elastic portion 242 is forced to deform to drive the two locking pieces 244 to tilt and move out of one of the plurality of locking holes 12. The second side plate 221 and the first side plate 220 are unlocked. The third side plate 222 and the base 10 are unlocked. The third side plate 222 and the forth side plate 223 can rotate towards opposite directions relative to the fifth side plate 224. The box 20 can move from the base 10 along the second direction parallel to the plane with the base 10.
  • FIGS. 5 and 6 illustrate another embodiment of a packing case 100. The first side plate 220 is fixed to the second side plate 221 via the tape 40 or thread. The third side plate 222 is fixed to the base 10 via the plurality of locking members 24. When the goods 30 need to be moved out of the packing case 100, the elastic portion 242 is forced to drive the third side plate 222 and the base 10 to unlock. The box 20 can move from the base 10 along the first direction perpendicular to the plane with the base 10.
  • The embodiments shown and described above are only examples. Many details are often found in the art such as the other features of the packing case. Therefore, many such details are neither shown nor described. Even though numerous characteristics and advantages of the present technology have been set forth in the foregoing description, together with details of the structure and function of the present disclosure, the disclosure is illustrative only, and changes may be made in the details, especially in matters of shape, size, and arrangement of the parts within the principles of the present disclosure, up to and including the full extent established by the broad general meaning of the terms used in the claims. It will therefore be appreciated that the embodiments described above may be modified within the scope of the claims.
