Abstract
Clean Pillowcase is a pillowcase with multiple flaps of fabric or other material attached at the top, bottom or side of the pillowcase. Straps and/or buttons or other fasteners secure the additional flaps of fabric or material in place. After use the topmost flap is folded to the back of the pillow and secured by fasteners which are straps, buttons or fasteners.
Description
- This Non-Provisional Patent Application depends from Provisional Patent Application No. 61/983,048 filed 23 Apr. 2014.
- Typical pillowcases which are not changed after each use collect skin oil, dirt, dead skin cells, bacteria, hair, etc., from being used multiple times before being washed. This can contribute to acne, blocked pores and other skin and health issues. Existing alternatives to assist with alleviating these types of problems are for individuals to change or wash their pillowcase after being used. Both of these options are cumbersome, time consuming and cost prohibitive. Therefore, consumers need an effective and sensible solution.
- The patents and publications referred to herein are provided herewith in an Information Disclosure Statement in accordance with 37 CFR 1.97.
- Clean Pillowcase will allow the consumer to lay his or her head on clean fabric or other material for multiple uses without requiring the individual to change or wash the pillowcase after each use. Clean Pillowcase is a pillowcase with multiple flaps of fabric or other material attached at the top or side of the pillowcase.
- The foregoing and other features and advantages of the present invention will become more readily appreciated as the same become better understood by reference to the following detailed description of the preferred embodiment of the invention when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, wherein:
-
FIG. 1 illustrates the front (104) side of Clean Pillowcase (1) with flaps (110) attached to the top (104) of the pillowcase (100). The diagram shows that all flaps (110) are attached to the top (104) of the pillowcase (100) with the flaps (110) starting out as being secured at the front (103) of the pillowcase (100) and being moved from front (103) to the back (102) of the pillow (200). -
FIG. 2 illustrates the backside (102) of Clean Pillowcase (1) with flaps (110) attached at top (104) of the pillowcase (100). The diagram shows that all flaps (110) are attached to the top (104) of the pillowcase (100) with the flaps (110) being moved to the back (102) of the pillowcase (100) and being secured at the back of the pillowcase (100). -
FIG. 3 illustrates the front (103) side of Clean Pillowcase (1) with flaps (110) attached at the first end (15) of the pillowcase. The diagram shows that all flaps (110) are attached to the first end (15) of the pillowcase (100) with the flaps (110) starting out as being secured at the first end (15) of the pillowcase (100) and being moved to the back (104) of the pillowcase (100). -
FIG. 4 illustrates the backside (102) of Clean Pillowcase (1) with flaps (110) attached at the second end (20) of pillowcase (100). The diagram shows that all flaps (110) are attached at the second end (20) of the pillowcase (100) with the flaps (110) being moved to the back (102) of the pillowcase (100) and being secured (120) at the back (102) of the pillowcase (100). - The foregoing descriptions of specific embodiments of the present invention have been presented for purposes of illustration and description. They are not intended to be exhaustive or to limit the present invention to the precise forms disclosed, and obviously many modifications and variations are possible in light of the above description and figures. The exemplary embodiment was chosen and described in order to best explain the principles of the present invention and its practical application for purposes of enabling others who are skilled in the art and making of the product to best utilize the present invention and various embodiments with various modifications as are suited to the particular use contemplated.
