FIG. 4 is a cross sectional view taken along line 4-4 ofFIG. 3 of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 5 is a left side perspective view of an embodiment of the disclosure. - With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
FIGS. 1 through 5 thereof, a new urinal device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by thereference numeral 10 will be described. - As best illustrated in
FIGS. 1 through 5 , the portableurinal assembly 10 generally comprises acup 12 that may be utilized for urination. Thecup 12 has abottom wall 14 and aperipheral wall 16 extending upwardly from thebottom wall 14. Theperipheral wall 16 has adistal edge 18 with respect to thebottom wall 14 and thedistal edge 18 defines anopening 20 into thecup 12. Thus, the opening 20 may receiveurine 22. Theperipheral wall 16 has afront side 24 and aback side 26. Thebottom wall 14 has anupper surface 28 and theupper surface 28 slopes inwardly toward acenter 30 of thebottom wall 14. Thebottom wall 14 slopes downwardly between theback side 26 and thefront side 24. - A
nozzle 32 is attached to and extends downwardly from thebottom wall 14 and thenozzle 32 is substantially hollow. Thenozzle 32 is in fluid communication with an interior of thecup 12 such that thenozzle 32 may drain theurine 22 from thecup 12. Thecup 12 has ahandle 34 that is coupled to theback side 26 such that thehandle 34 may be gripped. Thehandle 34 includes afoot 36 forming an angle with aleg 38. Thefoot 36 is coupled to thecup 12 such that theleg 38 is spaced from thecup 12. - A
lid 40 is removably positioned to cover thecup 12. Thelid 40 has aperimeter edge 42, atop portion 44 and abottom portion 46. Theperimeter edge 42 corresponding to thebottom portion 46 is inset with respect to theperimeter edge 42 corresponding to thetop portion 44. Thelid 40 engages thedistal edge 18 such that theperimeter edge 42 corresponding to thebottom portion 46 abuts theperipheral wall 16. Thelid 40 forms a fluid impermeable seal with thedistal edge 18 such that thelid 40 may prevent theurine 22 from being released from thecup 12. Atether 48 is coupled between thefoot 36 and thelid 40 such that thelid 40 is coupled to thecup 12. - A
reservoir 50 is operationally coupled to thecup 12 such that thereservoir 50 may contain theurine 22 thereby preventing theurine 22 from contaminating an area. Thereservoir 50 comprises abottle 52 that has atop end 54. Thetop end 54 is open and thebottle 52 contains theurine 22. Aconduit 56 is fluidly coupled between thenozzle 32 and thetop end 54 such that theconduit 56 directs theurine 22 into thebottle 52. - The
conduit 56 comprises avalve 58 that has aninlet 60 and anoutlet 62. Theinlet 60 threadably receives thenozzle 32 such that thevalve 58 is fluidly coupled to thenozzle 32. Thevalve 58 has ahandle 64 positioned thereon such thehandle 64 may be manipulated to position thevalve 58 in a closed position and an open position. Thevalve 58 allows theurine 22 to flow through theoutlet 62 when thevalve 58 is in the open position. Thevalve 58 restricts theurine 22 from flowing through theoutlet 62 when thevalve 58 is in the closed position. Thevalve 58 may comprise a ball valve or the like. - A nipple 66 is provided that has a
first end 68 and asecond end 70. Thenipple 66 is substantially hollow and thefirst end 68 threadably engages theoutlet 62 such that thenipple 66 is fluidly coupled to theoutlet 62. Afitting 72 is provided that has afirst end 74 and a second end 75. Thefitting 72 is substantially hollow and thefirst end 74 of thefitting 72 is fluidly coupled to thetop end 54 of thebottle 52. Agasket 76 is positioned between the fitting 72 andtop end 54 such that the fitting 72 forms a fluid impermeable seal with thebottle 52. Ahose 78 is coupled between thesecond end 70 of thenipple 66 and the second end 75 of thefitting 72. Thus, thehose 78 directs theurine 22 from thevalve 58 into thebottle 52. - In use, the
reservoir 50 is coupled to thecup 12. Thecup 12 is urinated in when a user is hunting such that theurine 22 is prevented from contaminating an area with a human odor. Thelid 40 is positioned on thecup 12 such that theurine 22 is prevented from spilling from thecup 12. Thevalve 58 is manipulated into the open position such that theurine 22 is drained from thecup 12 and contained in thebottle 52. Thevalve 58 may be manipulated into the closed position such that thecup 12 retains theurine 22. Theurine 22 may be drained into thebottle 52 while hunting or after hunting. Thebottle 52 is emptied after the hunting is completed. - With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
- Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
