Description

    TECHNICAL FIELD
  • The present invention relates to the field of exercise devices, and more particularly, to a U-shaped exercise weight bar for providing an all body workout for users of different body shapes and fitness levels.
  • BACKGROUND
  • Conventional weight exercise devices are disadvantageous in that such devices are typically not optimized for providing a user with a complete body workout as only certain muscle or body parts of interest are strengthened, conditioned, and trained. In addition, such conventional weight exercise devices are not specifically designed to maximize proper posture and form of the user during a workout.
  • It would thus be desirable to have an exercise weight bar for providing an all body workout for users of different body shapes and fitness levels, among other desirable features as described herein, while avoiding the disadvantages of the known exercise devices.
  • SUMMARY
  • In a first aspect, there is provided herein an exercise weight bar. The exercise weight bar includes an elongated, U-shaped member in which the U-shaped member is a solid tube having a first side, a second side, a first end, and a second end. A first cap is disposed on the first end and a second cap is disposed on the second end. The U-shaped member is configured to be used with a mountable wall assembly in which the first side and second side of the U-shaped member are releasably secured within the wall assembly for grasping by a user's hands in maintaining proper form and posture of the user during an all body workout.
  • In certain embodiments, the U-shaped member is of variable weight ranging from 2 pounds to 16 pounds.
  • In certain embodiments, the U-shaped member is configured to be slidably released from the mountable wall assembly such that the U-shaped member is used as a free weight.
  • In certain embodiments, the U-shaped member has a height ranging from about 14 inches to about 15 inches.
  • In certain embodiments, the U-shaped member has an outside diameter ranging from about 2 inches to about 3 inches.
  • In certain embodiments, the U-shaped member has an outside width ranging from about 10 inches to about 11 inches, as measured from the first side to the second side.
  • In certain embodiments, the U-shaped member has a bottom portion configured to be curved.
  • In certain embodiments, the curved bottom portion has a center radius ranging from about 3.5 inches to about 4.5 inches.
  • In certain embodiments, the first cap and the second cap are configured to be domed.
  • In certain embodiments, the first side and the second side of the U-shaped member are releasably secured within the mountable wall assembly at an adjustable position to suit the user's height and fitness level.
  • In certain embodiments, the adjustable position is an upward or downward movement of the first side and the second side of the U-shaped member relative to the mountable wall assembly.
  • In certain embodiments, the U-shaped member is fabricated from metal, steel, or any suitable alloy material, or combinations thereof.
  • In a second aspect, there is provided herein an exercise weight bar. The exercise weight bar includes an elongated, U-shaped member in which the U-shaped member is an inflexible, solid tube having a first side, a second side, a first end, a second end, and a variable weight. A first cap is disposed on the first end and a second cap is disposed on the second end. The U-shaped member is configured as a free weight for providing a user with an all body workout.
  • In certain embodiments, the variable weight of the U-shaped member ranges from 2 pounds to 16 pounds.
