  • FIELD OF THE EMBODIMENTS
  • The field of the embodiments of the Portable Anchor for Floating Objects is recreational floating toys. More specifically, but without limiting the scope of the application of the invention, the field of the embodiments includes portable anchors for rafts, boats, inner-tubes and other personal flotation devices used for recreation in fresh and salt water.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE EMBODIMENTS
  • The background of the embodiments is the broad use of recreational floating toys. When engaging in a variety of water activities and sports, it is common to base those water activities or sports on some sort of floating device. This floating device could be a platform, an inner tube, a boat or any other type of floating object. It is also very common to desire to have the location of this floating object in one fixed location. Therefore, it is quite common to want to use an anchor to fix the floating object in one location. However, in some instances, it is very inconvenient to carry an anchor to the specific location or to otherwise use a common weighted anchor. Therefore, it is desirable to have a portable, but effective, means of anchoring these types of floating objects. The purposes of the embodiments described herein serve to meet these broad criteria for an anchor for a floating object.
  • SUMMARY OF THE EMBODIMENTS
  • In summary, the embodiments of the Portable Anchor for Floating Objects are comprised of an anchor bag, a discharge rope, and an anchor rope. The anchor bag is comprised of an anchor pouch and a flap with built-in fill scoop. The discharge rope is affixed to one or more bottom corners of the anchor pouch. The grommet is affixed to the top seam of the anchor pouch. The anchor bag is comprised of an essentially conical or cylindrically shaped anchor pouch manufactured from flexible fabric. The discharge rope attached to the corners of the flexible bag from the inside. The instant invention is filled with gravel, sand or other material rocks commonly found in the area via the built-in scoop. As discharge rope is raised it pulls one or more bottom corners upwards turning the anchor pouch inside out and discharging the fill material from the anchor pouch.
  • In this respect, it is to be understood that the embodiments in this application are not limited to the details of construction and to the arrangements of the components set forth in the description or illustrated in the drawings. The embodiments are capable of being practiced and carried out in various ways. Also, it is to be understood that the phraseology and terminology employed herein are for the purpose of description and should not be regarded as limiting. As such, those skilled in the art will appreciate that the conception, upon which this disclosure is based, may readily be utilized as a basis for the designing of other structures, methods and systems for carrying out the several purposes of the embodiments described in this application. Additional benefits and advantages of the present embodiments will become apparent in those skilled in the art to which the embodiments relate from the description of the preferred embodiment and the appended claims, taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings. It is important, therefore, that the claims be regarded as including such equivalent constructions insofar as they do not depart from the spirit and scope of the embodiments described herein.
  • Further, the purpose of the foregoing abstract is to enable the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the public generally, and especially the scientist, engineers and practitioners in the art who are not familiar with patent or legal terms or phraseology, to determine quickly from a cursory inspection the nature and essence of the technical disclosure of the application. The abstract is neither intended to define the embodiments of the application, which is measured by the claims, nor is it intended to be limiting as to the scope of the embodiments in any way.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 is a side view of an embodiment of the Portable Anchor for Floating Objects.
  • FIG. 2 is a side view the inside of an embodiment of the Portable Anchor for Floating Objects.
  • FIG. 3 is a side view of an embodiment of the anchor pouch of the Portable Anchor for Floating Objects.

  • FIG. 5 is a side view of an embodiment of the Portable Anchor for Floating Objects.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
  • Embodiments of the Portable Anchor for Floating Objects 100 are comprised of an anchor bag 101, a discharge rope 102, and an anchor rope 103.
  • The anchor bag 101 is comprised of an anchor pouch 104 built-in fill scoop 101, and a flap 105. The discharge rope 102 is affixed to one or more bottom corners 106 of the anchor pouch 104. The anchor rope 103 is affixed to the grommet 107 of the anchor pouch 104. The grommet 107 is permanently affixed to the anchor pouch 104 at the top portion of the anchor pouch. In one embodiment, the grommet 107 is affixed to the top seam 108 of the anchor pouch 104. The built-in fill scoop 101 is manufactured from light-weight, durable, flexible plastic.
  • The anchor bag 101 is comprised of an essentially conical or cylindrically shaped anchor pouch 101 manufactured from flexible fabric. The flexible fabric can be made of cotton, nylon or any other type of rip-proof strong flexible fabric material. The discharge rope 102 attached to either corner of the flexible bag from the inside. The discharge rope can be engaged by the user thereby emptying the bag without having to raise the bag off the bottom of the water structure.
  • In the mode of use of the instant invention is filled using the built-in fill scoop with gravel, sand or other material rocks commonly found in the area which the recreational activity is taking place and then lowered to the bottom of the water structure to anchor the floating object with the anchor rope 103. When the water activity is complete and the user wishes to move the floating object, the user raises the discharge rope 102. As discharge rope 102 is raised it pulls one or more bottom corners 106 upwards turning the anchor pouch 104 inside out and discharging the fill material from the anchor pouch 104. The user can raise the Portable Anchor for Floating Objects 100 by the discharge rope 102 so as to reposition the floating object.
