Description
- 1. Technical Field
- The present invention relates to the technical field of nets, and more particularly, provides a ball game net rod structure comprising wide V-shaped rod bodies. The two corresponding ends of each of the rod bodies have a unidirectional connecting portion each. The paired rod bodies are connected to each other in one direction only, and the aforesaid unidirectional connection ensures that the tips of the rod bodies wide V-shaped point up or down to thereby stretch a net body or enable the net body to bear the brunt of a ball, such that the net body is taut and pleasant when fully mounted.
- 2. Description of Related Art
- Various sports, especially ball games, require a net. Take tennis as an example, two players are separated by a tennis net which divides the tennis court into two halves. Regarding baseball, not only does a protective net separate a batter from spectators, but a training net is also required for baseball throwing drills. Ball game nets also come in the form of a badminton net, a soccer goal net, a volleyball net, etc. As indicated above, nets play an important role in ball games.
- A conventional net typically has a net body. The net body is supported by a net frame formed from lateral rods, upper rods and lower rods connected in series. The upper or lower rods are slender and long and thus sag increasingly toward the middle thereof. Furthermore, the two corresponding ends of each of the upper rods and lower rods are pipe-like; hence, upon completion of assembly of the net body, the pipe-like ends of the upper and lower rods are still rotatable. Due to is failure to stretch, the net body underperforms, slacks, looks unpleasant, and is unfit to bear the brunt of a ball.
- Another conventional net is characterized in that connection of rod bodies is achieved by resilient pins engaged with holes formed at the rod bodies, respectively. However, this conventional net necessitates a high-cost manufacturing process of inserting pipes into the rod bodies and then putting the resilient pins in the pipes and a high-cost manufacturing process of forming the holes at the rod bodies. As a result, this conventional net is at a competitive disadvantage with its counterparts.
- It is an objective of the present invention to provide a ball game net rod structure comprising wide V-shaped rod bodies. A unidirectional connecting portion is disposed at two corresponding ends of the rod bodies. When the paired rod bodies are connected, the connection is effectuated in only one direction. The unique direction ensures that tips of the wide V-shaped rod bodies point up or down to thereby stretch a net body or enable the net body to bear the brunt of a ball. Hence, the net body is taut and pleasant when fully mounted.
- In order to achieve the above and other objectives, the present invention provides a ball game net rod structure, comprising: a net body supported by a net frame formed from lateral rods, upper rods and lower rods connected in series, characterized in that: rod bodies of the upper rods or the lower rods are wide V-shaped, wherein a unidirectional connecting portion is disposed at two corresponding ends of the rod bodies, wherein the unidirectional connecting portion comprises a substantial D-shape, an arc disposed above the D-shape, and three straight sides connected, or has at least a side has a narrow V-shaped indentation portion such that, when the paired rod bodies are connected, the connection is effectuated in only one direction. The unique direction ensures that tips of the wide V-shaped rod bodies point up or down to thereby stretch the net body or enable the net body to bear the brunt of a ball; hence, the net body is taut and pleasant when fully mounted.
