Abstract
A shielded briefcase for personal protection is presented. The shielded briefcase includes a folding panel with four folding sections that fold to form the briefcase, with each of the sections further including flexible shielded panels. The shielded briefcase may also include securing handles and an opening lock. In the event of an attack, the opening lock may be released and the flexible shielded panels may unfold to provide a user with protection.
Description
- This relates to a shielded briefcase for personal protection built in with a level of antiballistic protection. Particularly, it comprises a folding panel which contains four folding sections forming a bag which configures a briefcase. Each of the protection panels comprises in its turn flexible shielded panels that form a layer of protection against ballistic attacks. The body of the briefcase comprises securing handles and in the middle a simple opening lock, so that during the attack, said lock is released and protection panels are unfolded leaning on the body. The purpose of the invention is defined as a ballistic shield for the protection against weapon attacks.
- The field of the invention relates to a shielded briefcase for personal protection built in with a level of antiballistic protection. More particularly the field of the invention relates to a safety device usable as ballistic shield for the protection against weapon attacks.
- Specially, the present invention comprises a four-section folded panel so that they are folded together to form a bag which configures a briefcase.
- Traditionally, antiballistic panels hays been used for personal protection. Through Patent DE-2943680 A1, a flat shielded element is protected, which has a plate made of a hard material that breaks at shootings, being arranged in its rear part a material which inhibits them. Special fabrics made of aramid fiber are proposed as shooting inhibitor materials, which form multiple layers independently forged and only properly attached to each other. This protective fabric is intended to maintain as a united construction the hard materiel destroyed or deformed by a shot. However, this invention does not get a sufficiently protective effect despite the high surface weight.
- Considering the foregoing, it is necessary to develop a protective system having lightweight shield and being transportable which may fulfill the function of fully protecting the user's body.
- One object of this utility model is to overcome the disadvantages of the prior art. More particularly, an object of this utility model is to provide a shielded briefcase that can be used as protective shield.
- In accordance with these objects, as well as any other that may be permitted, a feature of this utility model is an arrangement of the safety device.
- The novel features which are considered as the basis for the invention are particularly set forth in the appended claims and the advantages thereof will be better understood from the following detailed description, with the preferred embodiments and appropriate reference to the accompanying drawings.
- In order to better understand the invention and its advantages compared to the known art, possible illustrative embodiments set forth in the accompanying figures not limiting the application of these principles, are described below.
-
FIG. 1 : shows a view of the safety briefcase in the folded position for being used as a briefcase, -
FIG. 2 : shows a schematic view of the safety briefcase in the deployed position for being used as a shield. -
FIG. 3 : shows a schematic view of safety briefcase in the open position for being used as a shield. - The present invention relates to a shielded briefcase for personal protection that incorporates a level of antiballistic protection.
- The purpose of the invention is to provide a ballistic shield for the protection from weapon attacks.
- The product is intended for the protection of civilians in attacks where you should act quickly and effectively. It is comprised of four modular flexible panels forming a protective layer against a ballistic attack For its proper operation, it must always be leaned on the human body.
- The approximate weight is 10 Kg and each panel weighs approximately 2 kg offering a NIJ IIIA protection level.
- Construction material include black pranna imitation leather; black grain nylon rope 3 cm; black velcro pair 5 cm wide; black soft velcro 2.5 cm; Slack Spanish Nappa leather; black half metal ring 2.5 cm, head snap clasp 7135/1.
- Briefcase of the present invention comprises a level IIIA protection, defined as a protection device for civilians in attacks whets you should act quickly and effectively. Four ballistic panels are deployed when unzipping the top handle. For its proper operation, it should always he leaned on the human body.
- Particularly, according to
FIGS. 1 , 2 and 3, thebriefcase 1 comprises a folding panel that comprises fourfolding sections 2 so that they are folded by the breaking lines 3 to form a bag that configures abriefcase 1. - Each of the
protection panels 2 comprises in turn flexible shielded panels 4 that form a layer of protection against ballistic attack. - The
briefcase body 1 comprises securing handles 5 and 6, a simple opening lock 6, so that during the attack, said lock 6 is released and protection panels are unfolded as illustrated inFIG. 3 leaning on the body. - By way of example, there have only been illustrated some preferred embodiments of the invention. In this regard it will be appreciated that the construction of the safety briefcase, as well as movement arrangements, can be selected from a plurality of alternatives without departing from the spirit of the invention according to the following claims.
