Abstract

A vacuum device connected to a hose includes a joint portion having a containing space detachably connected to a water-inlet faucet, a retaining edge formed inside the containing space for abutting at least one water-inlet hole with a sealskin of a plug, a groove formed at the bottom of the retaining edge for installing a seal plate to seal a water-outlet hole capable of closing or opening a gap from the plug, and an underlying formed at the bottom of the groove and having an inner wall, and a water outlet portion, including a main body connected to an inner wall of the underlying for defining at least one vent, and an installation space formed inside the main body and detachably connected to a water-outlet hose. The use of the sealskin and seal plate reduces the number of components of the vacuum device and achieves a cost-effective effect.

Description

    FIELD OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to a vacuum device, in particular to the vacuum device connected to a hose and capable of reducing the number of components and achieving a cost-effective effect.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • In general, a conventional quick faucet connector (also known as vacuum device) with an end connected to a water-inlet faucet and the other end connected to a water-outlet hose) comprises: a joint portion, including a disc detachably installed with the faucet and having at least one through hole formed at the bottom of the disc for allowing water to flow in;
  • a water outlet portion, interconnected with the joint portion, and having a housing element formed inside the water outlet portion for abutting an end of an elastic element, a housing area formed between the housing element and the disc and capable of forming a gap, a pad disposed in the housing area and having at least one drainage hole aligned alternately with the at least one through hole, a barrier disposed at the other end of the elastic element and corresponding to the pad and having an initial position, and at least one air hole formed at the bottom of the housing area for maintaining a space and interconnecting with the housing element; and the barrier having a disc surface capable of pressing and covering the at least one drainage hole, and at least three baffles arranged circularly with an interval apart from one another in a direction from the disc surface to the elastic element and capable of hooking to the other end of the elastic element, and a protruded section concentrated from ends of the baffles and then extended forward, wherein the barrier has a final position, such that the elastic element is compressed to a limit when the barrier is at the final position; and
  • a gasket, disposed along the internal periphery and the bottom of the disc, and having surrounding space formed inside the gasket and corresponding to the at least one through hole, and a seal retaining edge with a specific height disposed separately at the top and bottom of the periphery of the pad, for sealing the periphery of the pad.
  • When water flows into the at least one through hole to impact the pad , the water flows out from the at least one drainage hole, such that the barrier is separated from its initial position, and water continuously flows out from the water outlet portion. When the barrier is situated at the initial position, external air enters into the at least one air hole to discharge the water remained in the water outlet portion, so as to prevent freezing at low temperature.
  • However, the conventional quick faucet connector has too many components and thus is not cost-effective.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • Therefore, it is a primary objective of the present invention to overcome the aforementioned problem of the prior art by providing a vacuum device connected to a hose to overcome the problem of the prior art.
  • To achieve the aforementioned objective, the present invention provides a vacuum device connected to a hose, and the vacuum device is capable of reducing the number of components and achieving a cost-effective effect.
  • To achieve the aforementioned objective, the present invention provides a vacuum device connected to a hose, and the vacuum device comprises:
  • a joint portion, including a containing space detachably connected to a water-inlet faucet, a retaining edge formed inside the containing space and provided for abutting at least one water-inlet hole with a sealskin of a plug, a groove formed at the bottom of the retaining edge and provided for installing a seal plate to seal a water-outlet hole capable of maintaining a close connection or producing a gap with the plug, and an underlying formed at the bottom of the groove and having an inner wall; and
  • a water outlet portion, including a main body connected to an inner wall of the underlying for defining at least one vent, and an installation space formed inside the main body and detachably connected to a water-outlet hose;
  • thereby, when water flows into the at least one water-inlet hole and impacts the seal plate, the aperture of the water-outlet hole is spread open and expanded for keeping flowing water in a direction towards the back of the installation space; and when the aperture of the water-outlet hole and the plug maintain a close connection with each other, external air enters into the at least one vent to discharge the water remained in the water outlet portion to prevent freezing at low temperature; and when air pressure in the water outlet portion is greater than the air pressure of the external air, pressure is released from the at least one vent.
  • The vacuum device connected to a hose of the present invention further comprises a containing space formed at the joint portion for fixing a fastener of the water-inlet faucet.
  • The plug of the sealskin has an appearance of a spherical surface, and the plug has a portion protruded from the bottom of the water-outlet hole, when the aperture of the water-outlet hole and the plug maintain a close connection with each other.
  • In summation, the present invention has the effects of spreading open and expanding the aperture of the water-outlet hole to keep flowing water in a direction towards the back of the installation space, and maintaining the aperture of the water-outlet hole and the plug in a close connection with each other. Therefore, the application of the sealskin together with the seal plate can reduce the number of components of the vacuum device, so as to achieve a cost-effective effect.

  • FIG. 6 is a schematic view of releasing the pressure from at least one vent when the air pressure in a water outlet portion is greater than the air pressure of the outside; and
  • FIG. 7 is a schematic view of a portion of a plug being protruded from the bottom of a water-outlet hole when the aperture of a water-outlet hole and a plug are connected closely with each other.
  • DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
  • The present invention will become clearer in light of the following detailed description of an illustrative embodiment of this invention described in connection with the drawings. It is intended that the embodiments and drawings disclosed herein are to be considered illustrative rather than restrictive.
  • With reference to FIGS. 1 to 7 for a vacuum device connected to a hose of a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the vacuum device connected to a hose comprises: a joint portion (1) and a water outlet portion (2).
  • The joint portion (1) includes a containing space (11) detachably connected to a water-inlet faucet (5), a retaining edge (12) formed inside the containing space (11) for abutting at least one water-inlet hole (31) with a sealskin (3) of a plug (32), a groove (13) formed at the bottom of the retaining edge (12) and provided for installing a seal plate (4) to seal a water-outlet hole (41) capable of maintaining a close connection or producing a gap with the plug (32), and an underlying (14) formed at the bottom of the groove (13) and having an inner wall (142). If the aperture of the water-outlet hole (41) and the plug (32) maintain a close connection with each other, a portion of the plug (32) is protruded from the bottom of the water-outlet hole (41).
  • The water outlet portion (2) includes a main body (21) connected to the inner wall (142) of the underlying (14) to define at least one vent (212), and an installation space (22) formed inside the main body (21) and detachable connected to a water-outlet hose (6). The vacuum device connected to a hose of this preferred embodiment further comprises a containing space (22) formed at the joint portion (1) for fixing a fastener (7) of the water-inlet faucet (5).
  • When water flows into the at least one water-inlet hole (31) to impact the seal plate (4), the aperture of the water-outlet hole (41) is spread open and expanded to let water keep flowing towards the back of the installation space (22). When the aperture of the water-outlet hole (41) and the plug (32) maintain a close connection with each other, external air enters into the at least one vent (212) to discharge the water remained in the water outlet portion (2), so as to prevent freezing at low temperature. When the air pressure in the water outlet portion (2) is greater than the pressure of the external air, pressure is released through the at least one vent (212).
  • In the assembly comprising the aforementioned components of this preferred embodiment of the present invention as shown in FIGS. 1 to 7, the aperture of the water-outlet hole (41) is spread open and expanded to let water keep flowing towards the back of the installation space (22). When the device is not in use, the present invention can ensure that the aperture of the water-outlet hole (41) and the plug (32) maintain a close connection with each other. Therefore, the application of the sealskin (3) together with the seal plate (4) can reduce the number of components to achieve the cost-effective effect.

Claims (5)

What is claimed is:
1. A vacuum device connected to a hose, comprising:
a joint portion, including a containing space detachably connected to a water-inlet faucet, a retaining edge formed inside the containing space and provided for abutting at least one water-inlet hole with a sealskin of a plug, a groove formed at the bottom of the retaining edge and provided for installing a seal plate to seal a water-outlet hole capable of maintaining a close connection or producing a gap with the plug, and an underlying formed at the bottom of the groove and having an inner wall; and
a water outlet portion, including a main body connected to an inner wall of the underlying for defining at least one vent, and an installation space formed inside the main body and detachably connected to a water-outlet hose;
thereby, when water flows into the at least one water-inlet hole and impacts the seal plate, the aperture of the water-outlet hole is spread open and expanded for keeping flowing water in a direction towards the back of the installation space; and
when the aperture of the water-outlet hole and the plug maintain a close connection with each other, external air enters into the at least one vent to discharge the water remained in the water outlet portion to prevent freezing at low temperature; and when air pressure in the water outlet portion is greater than the air pressure of the external air, pressure is released from the at least one vent.
2. The vacuum device connected to a hose according to claim 1, further comprising a containing space formed at the joint portion for fixing a fastener of the water-inlet faucet.
3. The vacuum device connected to a hose according to claim 1, wherein the plug has an appearance of a spherical surface.
4. The vacuum device connected to a hose according to claim 1, wherein the plug has a portion protruded from the bottom of the water-outlet hole, when the aperture of the water-outlet hole and the plug maintain a close connection with each other.
5. The vacuum device connected to a hose according to claim 2, wherein the plug has a portion protruded from the bottom of the water-outlet hole, when the aperture of the water-outlet hole and the plug maintain a close connection with each other.
