Abstract

A wig base is disclosed, which comprises a first stretchable net-region with a predetermined width, two non-stretchable net-regions connected to lower right and left sides of the first stretchable net-region, and a second stretchable net-region between the two non-stretchable net-regions. An area of a wearer from “hollow of the neck” to “nucha” is covered mainly by the first stretchable net-region. The two non-stretchable net-regions would be at around the “hollow of the neck” of the wearer without deforming itself. Thanks to the second stretchable net-region existing between the between the two non-stretchable net-regions, the distortion of the wig base can be effectively relieved, and thus, higher fitness of the whole wig base can be obtained.

Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • 1. Field of the Invention
  • The present invention relates to a wig base for a wig, which is a type of covering whole head of a wearer, like a hat.
  • 2. Description of the Related Art
  • A wig covering the whole head of wearer is used, mainly when balding is expanding to whole head of wearers, or when baldness is due to anticancer drug.
  • The wig covering the whole head is not provided with attachment members on its wig base, and is to be put on the head like a hat. Naturally, it is required for such the wig covering the whole head to fit a wearer's head shape. Therefore, it is common that the wig covering the whole head is made to order, starting from transfer of the actual shape of wearer's head.
  • However, unlike in the case of a wig of a partial type, when whole of the head is greatly moving, areas of the wig above the wearer's ears, or a so-called nape-portion covering from “hollow of the neck” to “nucha” would be easily shifted or turned up. Traditionally, in order to avoid these disadvantages, there are many proposed to improve the fitness in wearing a wig of the whole covering type.
  • For example, in a patent document 1 (Japanese Laid-open patent publication No. 163497/2008), there is disclosed a wig base which is divided into 4 sections, that is, “a non-stretchable net covering from frontal to parietal regions”, “right temporal region”, “left temporal region”, and “occipital region therebetween”. In this wig base, the right and left temporal regions and the occipital region comprise stretchable net-materials.
  • In the patent document 1, the stretchable net-materials is used for the temporal regions and the occipital region which would move greatly, and thus the stretchable net can follow the movement of the head. But, wrinkles could easily appear where the stretchable net is not expanded when the head is moving, and thus the looks of that area would become bad.
  • In a patent document 2 (Japanese Laid-open patent publication No. 321298/2007), in order to prevent the floating up or shifting up of the so-called nape-portion from “hollow of the neck” to “nucha”, the center of the nape-portion is made of elastic net.
  • In the patent document 2, since only the center region of the nape-portion is made of the elastic net, the floating up or the shifting up hardly take place in the center region. However, when the floating up or the shifting up take place in other region, the fitness would be lost.
  • SUMMERY OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned problem in this field, and thus an object of the present invention is to provide a wig base for a wig, which is a type of covering whole head of a wearer, and with which the fitness can be improved particularly in the nape-portion, as well as the floating up or the shifting up could be effectively prevented.
  • In order to achieve the objects of the present invention, there is provided a wig base for a wig, which is a type of covering whole head of a wearer. The wig base comprises: (i) a first stretchable net-region, which extends with a predetermined width from a line “A”, the line “A” running connecting right and left positions (p) which are located at behind ears of the wearer; (ii) two non-stretchable net-regions, which are connected to lower right and left sides of the first stretchable net-region; and (iii) a second stretchable net-region, which is located between the two non-stretchable net-regions.
  • In the present invention, the positions (p) mean suitable positions, which are located on curved periphery edges of the wig base, at behind the wearer's ears.
  • Regarding the “first stretchable net-region” and the “second stretchable net-region”, they are respectively a net-region having elasticity. The terms of “first” and “second” are used only for distinguishing the both, which are different in their location. Therefore, both net-regions can be made of a single continuous net-material. Otherwise, separate net-materials may be connected by sewing, welding, etc. to form the “first stretchable net-region” and the “second stretchable net-region”.
  • With the wig base of the present invention constituted as above, an area of a wearer from “hollow of the neck” to “nucha” is covered mainly by the first stretchable net-region. Thus, when a wearer's head moves greatly, the first stretchable net-region expands and contracts following the head movement. At that moment, the two non-stretchable net-regions, which are connected to lower right and left sides of the first stretchable net-region, would be at around the “hollow of the neck” of the wearer without deforming itself. In such the case, thanks to the second stretchable net-region existing between the two non-stretchable net-regions, the distortion of the wig base can be effectively relieved. As a result, higher fitness of the whole wig base can be obtained.
  • As explained above, according to the present invention, there can be provided a wig base, wherein the fitness is better improved than the conventional wig bases.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • These and other objects and features of the present invention will become apparent from the following description taken in conjunction with the preferred embodiments thereof with reference to the accompanying drawings.
  • FIG. 1 is an explanatory view showing a wig base 1 according to an embodiment of the present invention.
  • FIG. 2 shows a rear perspective view of the wig base 1 in FIG. 1, and a partially enlarged view seen from just behind.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • An embodiment of the present invention is described in detail below with reference to the attached drawings. FIG. 1 is an explanatory view showing a wig base 1 according to an embodiment of the present invention. Whole of the wig base 1 is made of net-material. On this wig base 1, artificial or natural hairs 5 are planted to complete a wig, which is to be put on a wearer's head.
  • In FIG. 1, only a part of the hairs 5 are shown. But, actually, hairs 5 are suitably planted over the whole wig base 1.
  • <<Basic Constitution>>
  • FIG. 2 shows a rear perspective view of the wig base 1, and a partially enlarged view seen from just behind. In the constitution of the wig base shown in the enlarged area (below the line “A”), the characteristic feature of the present invention lies. Regarding the constitution at above the line “A”, the constitution is not limited to particular one in the present invention, and can be made of non-stretchable net-material, for example.
  • The line “A” runs connecting proper positions “P”. The positions “P” are to be located behind the wearer's right and left ears when the wig is put on the wearer's head. The line “A” may be constituted by sewing, welding, etc. Since the wig base 1 is a type of covering whole head of the wearer, the wig base 1 has curved periphery edges, which extend along behind the wearer's ears. The positions “P” are suitable ones, which are located on the curved periphery edges of the wig base 1, at behind the wearer's ears.
  • A first stretchable net-region 10 is connected to the lower region of the wig base 1 by the line “A”, and extends downwardly with a predetermined width from the line
  • “A”. The first stretchable net-region 10 is what covers a region from “hollow of the neck” to “nucha”, and the actual size of which should be suitably decided considering the shape of the wearer's head and so.
  • In an embodiment, the width dimension (height) is around 2.5 cm.
  • Under the first stretchable net-region 10, there are two non-stretchable net- regions 31, 35, which are connected to lower right and left sides of the first stretchable net-region 10. Further, a second stretchable net-region 20 is located between the two non-stretchable net- regions 31, 35.
  • As the connections between the “first stretchable net-region 10”, the “second stretchable net-region 20”, and the “two non-stretchable net- regions 31 and 35” explained above, there can be employed an appropriate way of connecting, such as sewing and welding.
  • Regarding the quality of material for each region, any material having a moderate elasticity can be employed for the “first stretchable net-region 10” and the “second stretchable net-region 20”, and any material which substantially does not stretch can be employed for the “two non-stretchable net- regions 31 and 35”.
  • In the drawings, for the sake of simplicity, each of the net-regions is drawn more roughly than actual. Note that, in the present invention, regarding the roughness and the way of knitting of the net are not limited to particular ones.
  • <<Modifications of the First Stretchable Net-Region 10>>
  • In the shown embodiment, the first stretchable net-region 10 is divided by a center reinforcement line “X” into two right and left sub-regions 10 a, 10 b. As a modification, whole of the first stretchable net-region 10 can be constituted as a single region.
  • However, in an experience that an actual product has been made, the fitness was better when the dividing reinforcement line “X” is provided. This may be supposed because the dividing made independency of the right and left sub-regions 10 a, 10 b increased, such that the sub-regions 10 a, 10 b well follow the movement of the wearer's head.
  • The reinforcement line “X” is what reduces the nature of elasticity of the first stretchable net-region 10 along the line “X”, such that the independency of right and left sub-regions 10 a, 10 b is increased. In an embodiment, the line “X” is constituted by sewing, and in another embodiment, the line “X” can be constituted by welding.
  • When whole of the first stretchable net-region 10 is constituted as single region, it is possible that the second stretchable net-region 20 is also included in the single region, the whole region being made of single net-material.
  • <<An Embodiment Wherein a Shape-Maintaining Member is Provided in the Non-Stretchable Net- Regions 31, 35>>
  • In the illustrated embodiment, each of the two non-stretchable net- regions 31, 35 comprises two stacked sheets of net-materials. Further, there is provided a shape-maintaining member 40 between the two stacked sheets of net-materials.
  • The shape-maintaining member 40 is made from a suitable material, such as plastic, which can be deformed under a moderate external force and can keep its shape. Providing such the shape-maintaining member 40 in the non-stretchable net- regions 31, 35 would make it possible that the associated region of the wig base 1 is kept conforming with the round neck surface of the wearer, such that the fitness would be further improved.
  • Although the present invention has been fully described in connection with the preferred embodiment thereof with reference to the accompanying drawings, it is to be noted that various changes and modifications are apparent to those skilled in the art. Such changes and modifications are to be understood as included within the scope of the present invention as defined by the appended claims unless they depart therefrom.
