Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • 1. Field of the Invention
  • This invention relates to a mask, particularly to one having function of preventing a user's saliva from sprayed outward and facilitating a user to breathe.
  • 2. Description of the Prior Art
  • As commonly known, a mask is used for preventing a user's saliva from spraying and causing pollution or preventing a person from inhaling harmful substances; therefore, medical institutes and catering industries usually demand that related workers must wear gauze masks.
  • A conventional mask includes a main body to be completely covered on a user's mouth and nose and to be hung and supported on a user's ears or head by means of fixed strings. However, the conventional mask that is completely covered on a user's mouth and nose is likely to be directly and tightly attached to the user's mouth and nose, letting a wearer feel uncomfortable and seriously affecting smoothness of a user's respiration as well as clearness of a user's talk. Especially, such conventional masks are not suitable to be worn by employees who frequently have conversation with other people and try to show affability.
  • Therefore, how to advise a gauze mask that is able to prevent saliva sprayed outward, avoid being completely and tightly attached to a user's nose and mouth, beauty in looks and practicality in use are problems needed to be solved by manufactures.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The objective of this invention is to offer a mask able to prevent a user's saliva spraying outward and also facilitating a user to breathe.
  • The mask in the present invention includes a frame, a resisting portion and a covering piece. The frame is of an arcuate shape approximating a person's face curve and has two ends respectively connected with an ear fastener and an intermediate section extending downward to from a support portion and is further disposed with a projecting stud protruding inward and having a first fastening portion and a first engage portion. The resisting portion is provided with a second engage portion to be combined with the first engage portion for combining the resisting portion together with the projecting stud. The covering piece is disposed with a second fastening portion to be fastened with the first fastening portion for mounting the covering piece on the frame.
  • By so designing, when the covering piece of the reformational gauze mask of this invention is covered on a user's mouth and nose, it can not only prevent the user's saliva from spraying outward but also facilitate the user to breathe.
  • Further, the resisting portion of the reformational gauze mask of this invention is made of soft material so a user can feel comfortable in wearing the gauze mask.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS
  • This invention will be better understood by referring to the accompanying drawings, wherein:
  • FIG. 1 is a schematic view of a mask in the present invention;
  • FIG. 2 is an exploded perspective view of the mask in the present invention;
  • FIG. 3 is an exploded cross-sectional view of the mask in the present invention; and
  • FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view of the mask in the present invention.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • Since this invention is to disclose a mask; therefore, one thing needed to be stated in advance is that the figures contrasted in the text are to express the structure related to the characteristics of this invention, and hence the figures are not and need not be drawn completely in accordance with practical sizes.
  • A preferred embodiment of a mask 100 in the present invention, as shown in FIG. 1, includes a frame 10, ear fasteners 20, a resisting portion 30 and a covering piece 40 as main components combined together.
  • The frame 10 is of an arcuate shape approximating a person's face curve and has two ends respectively provided with a connecter 13 for connecting an ear fastener 20 to be hung on a user's ear for hanging the gauze mask 100 in front of a user's nose and mouth; therefore, the ear fastener 20 is not confined in structure and strap. The ear fastener 20 can be an elastic string or an adjustable strap to be elastically hung on an ear or to pass around a user's ear and be fixed at the user's hind brain, or it can be a flexible ear hanging piece to be directly hung at the upper side of an ear.
  • Further, the frame 10 has an intermediate section extending downward to from a support portion 11 for holding the lower edge of a user's chin so, preferably, the shape of the support portion 11 approximates to the profile of a person's chin, but not confined in shape. Furthermore, the frame 10 is disposed with a projecting stud 12 protruding inward and formed with a first fastening portion 121 and a first engage portion 122.
  • Referring to FIG. 2, the resisting portion 30 is provided with two second engage portions 301 respectively corresponding to the first engage portions 122 and thus, the resisting portion 30 can be combined with projecting stud 12 by having the second engage portions 301 engaged with the first engage portion 122. The covering piece 40 is formed with a second fastening portion 401 corresponding with the first fastening portion 121 and thus, the covering piece 40 can be fixed on the frame 10 by means of the second fastening portion 401 of the covering piece 40 combined with the first fastening portion 121 of the frame 10.
  • Moreover, the frame 10 has two ends respectively provided with a third fastening portion 123, and the covering piece 40 has two ends respectively formed with a fourth fastening portion 402 to be fixed with the third fastening portion 123 to enable the covering piece 40 to be stably secured on the frame 10 not to get loose and fall off when the covering piece 40 is shifted forward and backward or moved left and right by a user. In this preferred embodiment, the third fastening portion 123 is a mode of convex block while the fourth fastening portion 402 is a mode of hole to be engaged with the convex block of the third fastening portion 123 for combining the covering piece 40 together with the frame 10, but not confined in such modes.
  • In addition, referring to FIGS. 3 and 4, the first fastening portion 121 and the second fastening portion 401 are respectively formed with a first guide surface 1211 and a second guide surface 4011 corresponding to each other, and the first fastening portion 121 is formed with a stop portion 1212 and the second fastening portion 401 is formed with a clasping portion 4012. Thus, by the first guide surface 1211 and the second guide surface 4011, the second fastening portion 401 of the covering piece 40 can take advantage of an opportunity to slide into the first fastening portion 121 of the frame 10, and by the clasping portion 4012 resisting against the stop portion 1212 of the frame 10, the covering piece 40 is impossible to slip and fall off, enabling the covering piece 40 and the frame 10 to be combined with great stability.
  • In this preferred embodiment, the two projecting studs of the frame 10 are provided symmetrically, and the covering piece 40 is disposed with two notches 403 respectively corresponding with the two projecting studs 12 of the frame 10, as shown in FIG. 2, thus able to diminish the gap between the frame 10 and the covering piece 40.
  • The frame 10 is further formed with a stop edge 125 and the covering piece 40 can resist against the stop edge 125. In this preferred embodiment, the covering piece 40 is vertically set upon the frame 10 and positioned at the stop edge 125.
  • In this invention, the resisting portion 30 of the gauze mask 100 is mainly for resting on a user's chin so as to form a proper space between the covering piece 40 and a user's mouth and nose and prevent them from touching each other; therefore, the resisting portion 30 can be made of soft material or made of sponge or foamed plastic. Thus, when the resisting portion 30 resists a user's thin, the user will feel comfortable in wearing the gauze mask 100.
  • The covering piece 40 employed to cover a user's mouth and nose for impeding a user's saliva from sprayed outward is further provided with a projection 404 tallying with the height of a person's nose for facilitating a user to breathe, and the covering piece 40 is made of soft and transparent or translucent plastic so that a user can talk with customers conveniently and customers can clearly see the facial expression the mask wearer. Additionally, the frame 10 and the covering piece 40 of the gauze mask 100 of this invention are combinable for facilitating assembly of the gauze mask 100, able to lower cost, and the covering piece 40 can be wiped or replaced, conforming to environmental protection and practical in use.
  • While the preferred embodiment of the invention has been described above, it will be recognized and understood that various modifications may be made therein and the appended claims are intended to cover all such modifications that may fall within the spirit and scope the invention.
