Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • 1. Field of the Invention
  • The present invention relates to a mask, and more particularly, to a mask with a recessed portion for not pressing the mask on the user's lips and a chin support is provided to secure the mask.
  • 2. Description of the Prior Art
  • A conventional mask is generally used to keep foreign objects such as dust or even germs from entering the user's mouth and nose, and alternatively, to prevent the user's saliva from being inhaled by other people. The conventional mask generally includes a main part and two hooks or bands on two sides of the main part. The main part is composed of two sheets of fabric and an intermediate material is located between the two sheets of fabric. The main part can stop the saliva from being inhaled by the user to protect the user. The two hooks or bands are used to position the mask on the user's face by hooking on the user's ears. However, the main part is directly in contact with the user's lips and nose so that many users feel uncomfortable. If the user is a female with make-up, the main part of the mask can blur the make-up. Therefore, the conventional mask is not welcome to some users and needs to be improved.
  • The present invention intends to provide a mask which has a recessed area so that the user's lips are not compressed by the mask. In addition, the mask of the present invention includes a chin support to further position the mask on the user's face.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to a mask and comprises a main part for mounting on a user's mouth and nose, and the main part comprises a transparent portion and an opaque portion. The transparent portion has a recessed portion defined in a central portion of an inside thereof so as to accommodate the user's mouth and nose. A chin support is connected to the opaque portion and has a support member and an engaging portion which is engaged with an inside of the opaque portion.
  • The primary object of the present invention is to provide a mask which improves the shortcomings of the conventional mask by providing a recessed area for accommodating the user's nose and mouth so that the mask does not affect the user to breath and the user's lips are not compressed by the mask.
  • The present invention will become more obvious from the following description when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings which show, for purposes of illustration only, a preferred embodiment in accordance with the present invention.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 is a perspective view to show the mask of the present invention, and
  • FIG. 2 shows a user wears the mask of the present invention.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
  • Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, the mask 100 of the present invention comprises a main part 110 having a transparent portion 110A and an opaque portion 110, wherein the main part 110 is mounted to the user's mouth and nose. The transparent portion 110A has a recessed portion 110C defined in a central portion of an inside thereof so as to accommodate the mouth and nose of the user so that the mask 100 does not compress the user's lips and affect the user to breath. The transparent portion 110A is made of transparent and resilient material and the opaque portion 110B is made of opaque and resilient material so as to meet the contour of the user's face.
  • The recessed portion 110C is located at the central portion of the opaque portion 110B and forms like an open pocket so that the user's nose and lips are not compressed by the main part 110. The opaque portion 110B has two hooks 110D on two ends thereof and two adjustment bands 130 are hooked to the two hooks 110D. The adjustment bands 130 are hooked to the user's ears so position the mask 100 to the user's face.
  • The chin support 120 is connected to the opaque portion 110 and has a support member 120A and an engaging portion 120B which is engaged with an inside of the opaque portion 110. The support member 120A is an L-shaped member and forms a recessed area facing the user's chin. The engaging portion 120B is made of soft and resilient material and extends toward the user's chin and is in contact with the front surface of the chin of the user. If there is a recess in the front surface of the user's chin, the engaging portion 120B is support in the recess. The chin support 120 can prevent the mask 100 from slipping during use.
  • The two adjustment bands 130 are first hooked to the user's ears and the main part 110 is mounted on the user's nose and mouth. The main part 110 is then adjusted to allow the user's nose and lips to be accommodated in the recessed portion 110C. The engaging portion 120B is then contacts the user's chin and the support member 120A is engaged with the lower end of the user's chin to position the mask 100.
  • While we have shown and described the embodiment in accordance with the present invention, it should be clear to those skilled in the art that further embodiments may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.
