Abstract

The present invention relates to a hygienic mask, comprising: a mouth shield made of a transparent and flexible synthetic resin; a semicircular synthetic-resin attachment/detachment frame including a first attachment groove and an attachment protrusion such that the mouth shield can be attached thereto; a synthetic-resin jaw piece including a second attachment groove and a jaw support, the second attachment groove being made so as to receive the attachment protrusion of the attachment/detachment frame; and elastic ear bands provided at either side of the attachment/detachment frame and including ear-fastening rings. The ear-fastening rings are slidably adjustable so as to accommodate different ear sizes such that the ear bands can be hung on the ears and removed from the ears.

Description

    CROSS REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS
  • This application is a continuation of International Application No. PCT/KR2010/003116, filed May 18, 2010, which is a continuation of Korean Application No. 10-2010-0013054, filed Feb. 11, 2010.
  • FIELD OF THE DISCLOSED TECHNOLOGY
  • This invention is about a sanitary mask particularly for preventing spitting and bad breath.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE DISCLOSED TECHNOLOGY
  • Bad breath or saliva can give a bad impression when an information desk clerk has a conversation with visitors or customers. When a cook or server at a restaurant talks or sneezes, saliva can spatters on the food or dishes.
  • A sanitary mask was invented to address this issue. (Design Registration 20-0314045 in Korea). According to their claiming section 1, one or both sides of mouth cover forms combining bump and on the back elastic supporter is installed which makes it able to insert attachable-removable filter. On one or both sides of the above mouth cover, combining groove that attaches to the mouth cover's projecting spot is formed for one side and hooking part on the other side. Inside, a slide with ribbed inserting groove is formed, on one side projecting spot attaches to the above slide's groove and clipping bump connects to the slide's hooking part and length adjusting part made of supporter formed with guiding part inserts the above slide's inserting groove, and on the end of the supporter of the above length adjusting part angle adjusting part that's made of revolving board consist of combining groove with clipping bump and fixed board consist of projecting spot with groove that connect to the above revolving board's combining groove and clipping bump, and fixed part in headband shape is installed on the above angle adjusting part.
  • To summarize the Design Registration 20-0314045, there are a filter attachable-removable square mouth cover, ear hooking part consists of slide formed with inserting groove and length adjusting part with supporter formed with guiding part. However there are problems for this device as below.
  • First, filter must be replaced when it becomes dirty because saliva spatters on the filter, and since the filter is opaque, only eyes of the wearer can be shown. It conceals mouth and nose which makes the user look repulsive instead of looking friendly.
  • Second, it's uncomfortable because they need to adjust the distance between the mouth and the screen (The ear hook consists of angle adjuster for placing the cover near mouth and length adjuster after wearing.) Because the formation of ear hooker is complex, increasing manufacturing expenses and defective rates due to its complex structure.
  • Third, when square frame is fixed by angle adjuster and the square frame is pulled and attached to chin, it is difficult to open the mouth because the square frame is fixed. Since the square frame cannot be attached to the chin and there are open spaces downward and sideways, saliva spatters downwards and sideways when sneezing.
  • SUMMARY OF THE DISCLOSED TECHNOLOGY
  • The purpose of this invention is 1. to make masks washable. 2. To make it transparent so that the face can be seen. 3. To reduce the manufacturing cost by simplifying the structure.
  • To serve the purpose, a flexible and transparent screen made out of synthetic resin, a semicircle shaped basic frame was designed out of synthetic resin with grooves where the screen can be clipped on, and a chinrest also made out of synthetic resin that can be clipped on the middle part of the frame. Adjustable, elastic loops that are attached to each end of the basic frame is used to fit the mask on the face
  • The part that covers the mouth consists of a transparent, flexible screen that is attached to a curved frame with a groove to clips the screen.
  • The frame has a groove where the screen's bottom can fit tightly.
  • Also, the outer surface of the bottom of the screen is slip-resistant, increasing friction between frame and screen preventing them from falling out from each other.
  • The elastic loops can be adjusted enabling the mask to fit on any face and ear size.
  • As described above, the mask is easy to assemble and disassemble, which facilitates cleaning of the mask, and thanks to the transparent screen, user's face can be seen, making it possible to show smiles. Since it is made out of synthetic resin with simple structure, the manufacturing cost can be reduced. Screen's curved contour covers front and sides of the mouth, preventing saliva from spattering when one sneezes.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1—Disassembled hygiene mask
  • FIG. 2—Assembled hygiene mask
  • FIG. 3—Figure wearing the mask
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENTS OF THE DISCLOSED TECHNOLOGY
  • This part will explain the invention and its structure in detail, using the design drawings.
  • This invention includes a mouth cover (10), a clip-on frame (20), a chinrest (30), and elastic loops (40) for the ears. The mouth cover made out of synthetic resin is transparent and flexible; the frame consists of a groove #1(21) and protruding part (22) in the middle where the chinrest clips onto; the chinrest consists of an indented part #2 (31) that will be attached to the frame, and inwardly-curved chinrest (32); lastly, the elastic ear loops are attached to each end of the frame with small rings (50) which is used to adjust the length of the loops.
  • The material of the screen (10), the clip-on frame (20), and the chinrest (30) are synthetic resins and can easily be assembled/disassembled. Because its parts are made out of synthetic resins, the mask is washable; The transparent screen enables your face to be seen. The mask's simple structure makes it possible to be easily assembled or disassembled, lowering the manufacturing cost.
  • The screen consists of a curved frame (11) and a transparent screen (12); the bottom part of the screen snaps onto the groove #1 (21) of the frame.
  • The outer surface of the bottom part of the screen (121) is slip-resistant. The frame is inserted into the groove #1 (21) of the frame tightly.
  • The width of the screen is slightly shorter than the length of the groove #1 (21), in order to facilitate inserting the screen into the groove #1 of the frame. Also, when the bottom part of the screen is inserted, the projecting surface (13) in the middle of the frame snaps into the groove of the frame (23), preventing the screen from sliding sideways inside the groove #1.
  • The ear loops have two tightening rings (50). By sliding the rings forward or backward, the size of the loop can be adjusted to any face shape. This feature also prevents the ear loops from loosening and coming off the ears.
  • As shown in FIG. 3, the mask can be worn by placing the chin on the inwardly-curved chinrest (32) and placing the ear loops (40) by adjusting the size of the loops with the tightening rings (50). When the mask is worn as described, the screen (10) covers the mouth, nose and the sides of the nose. The elastic ear loops allow a natural movement of the jaw, and the screen covers the mouth, preventing saliva from being spattered when one sneezes or talks.
