Definitions
- the present invention is generally related to a lash brush, which particularly relates to the lash brush for making a rotatable shaft instantaneously vibrate back and forth along an axial line.
- a conventional lash brush 10 as illustrated in FIG. 1 utilizes a motor 11 to drive a shaft 12 into rotation.
- the shaft 12 enables to move back and forth via clockwise/counterclockwise rotation of the motor 12 .
- the user When a user holds the lash brush 10 and applies the mascara to the eyelash, under the limitation that conventional lash brush 10 merely possesses forward or backward moving paths, the user must make the lash brush 10 separate instantaneously from the eyelash and contact rapidly with the eyelash by hand's holding motions to prevent glutinous mascara from solidifying onto the eyelashes so that block-shaped or globular solidification of the mascara attached onto the eyelashes may be avoidable.
- the mascara is likely formed as block-shape or spherical-shape and solidified onto the eyelashes. Accordingly, a disturbance for a user to repetitively remove and apply make-up is frequently occurred.
- the primary object of the present invention is to provide a lash brush for making a rotatable shaft coupled to a plurality of bristles vibrate back and forth instantaneously along an axial line.
- the lash brush prevents the mascara attached onto the eyelashes from forming as patch-shaped or ball-shaped solidification.
- a lash brush in accordance with the present invention includes a case, a rotatable shaft, a plurality of bristles and a reciprocating transmission mechanism, wherein the case comprises a ring wall, a bottom portion and an accommodating slot surrounded by the ring wall, the rotatable shaft comprises a first end portion and a second end portion, and the bristles are coupled to the first end portion of the rotatable shaft.
- the reciprocating transmission mechanism means for driving the rotatable shaft and includes a first unit and a second unit contacting against the first unit.
- the first unit comprises an actuating surface having a base surface and a plurality of spacing members alternately formed on the base surface
- the second unit comprises a contacting terminal sequentially contacting against each of the spacing members.
- the rotatable shaft vibrates back and forth instantaneously. Accordingly, when a user holds the lash brush and applies the mascara onto the eyelashes, the motion of the rotatable shaft prevents glutinous mascara attached onto the eyelashes from forming into block-shaped or globular solidification.

- the rotatable shaft 120 comprises a first end portion 121 and a second end portion 122 and penetrates through the through hole 112 a .
- the first end portion 121 protrudes from the bottom portion 112 of the case 110
- the second end portion 122 is disposed in the accommodating slot 113 of the case 110
- the bristles 130 are coupled to the first end portion 121 of the rotatable shaft 120 .
- the reciprocating transmission mechanism 140 couples to the rotatable shaft 120 and includes a first unit 141 , a second unit 142 and a driving unit 143 .
- the reciprocating transmission mechanism 140 drives the rotatable shaft 120 in a reciprocating motion along an axial line X, in this embodiment, the reciprocating transmission mechanism 140 is coupled to the second end portion 122 of the rotatable shaft 120 via the first unit 141 .
- the second unit 142 of the reciprocating transmission mechanism 140 is disposed on the ring wall 111 and located in the accommodating slot 113 .
- the first unit 141 comprises an actuating surface 141 a having a base surface 141 b and a plurality of spacing members 141 c formed on the base surface 141 b , wherein the spacing members 141 c are alternately disposed from one another.
- the spacing members 141 c are selected from protrusions protruded from the base surface 141 b or slots recessed to the base surface 141 b , which means an uneven structure is formed on the actuating surface 141 a by disposition of the spacing members 141 c .
- the first unit 141 is selected from a spatial cam, such as a cylindrical cam or an end cam, and the actuating surface 141 a is selected from a transmission surface of the spatial cam or an outer peripheral surface located outside the transmission surface.
- the first unit 141 is an end cam
- the actuating surface 141 a is an end surface (transmission surface) of the end cam.
- the reciprocating transmission mechanism 140 further includes an elastic member 144
- the second unit 142 comprises a contacting terminal 142 a
- one end of the elastic member 144 contacts against the bottom portion 112
- another end of the elastic member 144 contacts against the first unit 141 so as to make the actuating surface 141 a of the first unit 141 contact and press the contacting terminal 142 a of the second unit 142 .
- the contacting terminal 142 a owing to the contacting terminal 142 a in contact with the actuating surface 141 a , the first unit 141 , the rotatable shaft 120 and the bristles 130 move linearly reciprocally along the axial line X, in the mean time, the contacting terminal 142 a contacts against each of the spacing members 141 c in sequence so that the first unit 141 , the rotatable shaft 120 and the bristles 130 vibrate back and forth instantaneously along the axial line X.
- the driving unit 143 is a motor and simultaneously drives the first unit 141 and the rotatable shaft 120 to rotate along the axial line X.
- the contacting terminal 142 a contacts against each of the spacing members 141 c of the actuating surface 141 a in sequence so as to make the first unit 141 vibrate instantaneously along the axial line X therefore simultaneously causing the rotatable shaft 120 and the bristles 130 to vibrate instantaneously along the axial line X.
- the amplitude of instantaneous vibration for the first unit 141 , the rotatable shaft 120 and the bristles 130 along the axial line X approximately equal to the height or depth of each of the spacing members 141 c.
- the time for the bristles 130 of the lash brush 100 in contact with the eyelash can be shorten. Therefore, when the glutinous mascara attached to the bristles 130 enables to separate instantaneously from the eye lash or contact instantaneously with the eye lash (the two actions are taken place one after another), the time for the bristles 130 in contact with the eyelash will last shortly so as to prevent the mascara attached to the eyelashes from forming into block-shaped or globular solidification. The disturbance for repetitively removing or applying the user's make up can be avoidable.
- a lash brush 100 in accordance with a second embodiment of the present invention includes a case 110 , a rotatable shaft 120 , a plurality of bristles 130 and a reciprocating transmission mechanism 140 .
- the primary difference between the second embodiment and the first embodiment is that the first unit 141 of the reciprocating transmission mechanism 140 is a cylindrical cam, wherein a peripheral surface of the first unit 141 comprises a cyclic slot A, and the actuating surface 141 a is the transmission surface of the cyclic slot A.
- the reciprocating transmission mechanism 140 is coupled to the rotatable shaft 120 .
- the driving unit 143 driving the first unit 141 and the rotatable shaft 120 into rotation along the axial line X
- the lash brush 100 enables to make the bristles 130 coupled to the rotatable shaft 120 vibrate instantaneously along the axial line X to prevent the time for the mascara in contact against the eyelashes from lasting too long. Therefore, the possibility for forming block-shaped or globular solidified mascara onto the eyelashes can be avoidable.
- a lash brush 100 in accordance with a third embodiment of the present invention includes a case 110 , a rotatable shaft 120 , a plurality of bristles 130 and a reciprocating transmission mechanism 140 .

- the rotatable shaft 120 and the bristles 130 are driven to rotate along the axial line X by the first unit 141 .
- the third unit 145 is in contact against the transmission surface of the end cam to make the first unit 141 , the rotatable shaft 120 and the bristles 130 move linearly reciprocally along the axial line X, meantime, the contacting terminal 142 a of the second unit 142 contacts against the actuating surface 141 a of each of the spacing members 141 c in sequence to make the first unit 141 , the rotatable shaft 120 and the bristles 130 vibrate instantaneously along a direction perpendicular to the axial line X so as to prevent the time for the mascara in contact against the eyelashes from lasting too long. Therefore, the possibility for forming block-shaped or globular solidified mascara onto the eyelashes can be avoidable.
- a lash brush 100 in accordance with a fourth embodiment of the present invention includes a case 110 , a rotatable shaft 120 , a plurality of bristles 130 and a reciprocating transmission mechanism 140 .
- the primary difference between the fourth embodiment and the second embodiment is that the actuating surface 141 a of the first unit 141 is disposed on a bottom surface of the cyclic slot A.
- the lash brush 100 enables to make the bristles 130 coupled to the rotatable shaft 120 vibrate instantaneously along a direction perpendicular to the axial line X to prevent the time for the mascara in contact against the eyelash from lasting too long. Therefore, the possibility for forming block-shaped or globular solidified mascara onto the eyelashes can be avoidable.
