- the apparatus may be used with an identical second apparatus by an individual for performing a push up exercise.
- U.S. Pat. No. 6,503,179 to Miraflor discloses a spring roller exerciser device.
- the spring roller exercise device is used in a pectorals-focused exercising routine that allows varying types of movements to be performed; however, the device itself does not provide push up exercises.
- an apparatus comprising a handle device having a triangular prism shape wherein long lateral edges of the device are used as handles and two triangular side walls are placed parallel to each other.

- the apparatus may be used with an identical second apparatus by an individual for performing a push up exercise.
- the apparatus may include three handles which may be connected to triangular side walls so that the all three handles can be placed parallel so the whole construction forms a triangular prism.
- the apparatus may further include two wheels which may be placed on one side of the triangular wall from the bottom surface of the base.
- the other two surfaces of the base of the apparatus may include a non-skid material.
- the three handles may have the same length to make the side triangular walls parallel.
- the handles may form three functioning surfaces where the one surface formed of four wheels, wherein two wheels placed on one side of each triangular wall.
- a grip of the handles also may be using as non-slip base when wheeled side of the construction turn on left or right side and wheels are not facing the floor.
- a method in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention may include placing a first apparatus and a second apparatus on a floor surface, wherein the first apparatus and the second apparatus are identical and are as previously described.
- the method may further include simultaneously gripping a first handle of the first apparatus with a left hand of an individual, gripping a second handle of the second apparatus with a right hand of the individual, and performing a pushup exercise using the first apparatus and the second apparatus.

- The present application claims the priority of U.S. Provisional Patent application Ser. No. 61/616,326, titled “Multifunctional prism shape push up devices with wheels on one dimension and three handles”, filed on Mar. 27, 2012, inventor and applicant Stan L. Moskowich.
- This invention relates to improved methods and apparatus concerning devices for pushups.
- In the area of push-up exercise devices there are variety of exercise devices, as exemplified by U.S. Pat. No. 7,935,040 to Moskowich. U.S. Pat. No. 7,935,040 to Moskowich, discloses an apparatus comprising a handle device having a handle, and a base having a top surface and an opposing bottom surface. The apparatus may be used with an identical second apparatus by an individual for performing a push up exercise.
- Another upper body exercise device is disclosed by U.S. Pat. No. 6,503,179 to Miraflor, which discloses a spring roller exerciser device. The spring roller exercise device is used in a pectorals-focused exercising routine that allows varying types of movements to be performed; however, the device itself does not provide push up exercises.
- In at least one embodiment of the present invention an apparatus is provided comprising a handle device having a triangular prism shape wherein long lateral edges of the device are used as handles and two triangular side walls are placed parallel to each other. The handles form three dimensions wherein one dimension of the apparatus has four wheels and the opposing other two dimensions are flat. The apparatus may be used with an identical second apparatus by an individual for performing a push up exercise.
- The apparatus may include three handles which may be connected to triangular side walls so that the all three handles can be placed parallel so the whole construction forms a triangular prism.
- The apparatus may further include two wheels which may be placed on one side of the triangular wall from the bottom surface of the base. The other two surfaces of the base of the apparatus may include a non-skid material. The three handles may have the same length to make the side triangular walls parallel. The handles may form three functioning surfaces where the one surface formed of four wheels, wherein two wheels placed on one side of each triangular wall. A grip of the handles also may be using as non-slip base when wheeled side of the construction turn on left or right side and wheels are not facing the floor.
- A method in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention may include placing a first apparatus and a second apparatus on a floor surface, wherein the first apparatus and the second apparatus are identical and are as previously described. The method may further include simultaneously gripping a first handle of the first apparatus with a left hand of an individual, gripping a second handle of the second apparatus with a right hand of the individual, and performing a pushup exercise using the first apparatus and the second apparatus.
- In at least one embodiment of the present invention an apparatus is provided which includes a base having three functioning surfaces, three parallel handles attaching to the triangular walls and four wheels placed on one dimension of the triangular prism construction. The handle device can be turned over and can be translated into three different states or positions with respect to the prism base. The apparatus, particularly when used in combination with an identical second apparatus, allows an individual user to execute a variety of push up exercises including a common push up, as well as push up exercises where the two apparatus are rolled outward or forward.
- One or more embodiments of the present invention provide a triangular prism push up device having wheels on one dimension of the prism that allows individuals to perform advanced muscle-building exercise. One or more embodiments provide an innovative core training product that allows a variety of core training exercises, including common pushups as well as dynamic roll outward and roll forward workouts that sculpt the upper body faster and more efficiently.
- One or more embodiments of the present invention can be used for conventional push up or push away exercise and can also be used for outward and forward extension and/or push away or up exercise by use of wheels incorporated into housing.
- One or more embodiments of the present invention provide three parallel handles that allows three sides of the prism to be used for exercises. In one or more embodiments the base includes two friction surfaces and a triangularly related surface through which a plurality of wheels protrude through openings in the surface.
- One or more embodiments of the present invention provide three handles which can be used as non-friction surfaces. Three parallel handles allow use of either two friction surfaces or protruding wheels.
- In at least one embodiment, an apparatus is provided which includes a first member, a second member, a third member, a first section, and a second section. A first end of each of the first, the second, and the third member may be fixed to the first section; and a second end, which opposes the first end of each of the first, the second, and the third member may be fixed to the second section, in a manner such that the first, the second, and the third members are substantially parallel to each other, and the first and the second sections are substantially parallel to each other. The apparatus may be substantially smaller than an average adult person, and the apparatus may be configured so that the apparatus can be picked up by an average adult person gripping the first member, the second member, or the third member, and lifting the apparatus.
- The apparatus may further include first and third wheels rotatably mounted to the first section, and second and fourth wheels rotatably mounted to the second section. The first and the third wheels may be rotatably mounted to the first section and the second and the fourth wheels may be rotatably mounted to the second section so that the first and the third wheels rotate about a first and a third axis and the second and the fourth wheel rotate about a second and a fourth axis, wherein the first, second, third, and fourth axis are substantially parallel to each other.
- The first section may have a first triangular shape and the first ends of the first, second, and third members may be fixed to the first section substantially at first, second, and third vertices, respectively, of the first triangular shape; and the second section may have a second triangular shape and the second ends of the first, second, and third members may be fixed to the second section substantially at first, second, and third vertices, respectively, of the second triangular shape.
- The first and the third wheels may protrude outwards from one side of the first section. The second and the fourth wheels may protrude outwards from one side of the second section.
- The apparatus may further include first, second, and third non slip gripping materials fixed to the first, second, and third members, respectively.
- In at least one embodiment, a method is provided which includes placing a first and a second apparatus on a floor; gripping the first and the second apparatus while the first and the second apparatus are on the floor; and performing a push up exercise while gripping the first and the second apparatus. Each of the first and the second apparatus may be an apparatus configured as previously described.
