Description

    FIELD OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to a box for display and storage, and more particularly, to a display and storage box in which an object is received. The object can be conveniently retrieved from the box.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • Conventional display objects such as ceramic or fragile objects have to be well packed when being displayed and the packing boxes are required to be safe so as to protect the objects in the boxes when the boxes are hit. The boxes are designed to protect the objects so that the objects can be transported long distance. However, this type of box is simply a box and does not allow the user to use the box to display the object. When taking the object out from the box, the user has to grab the object from the top of the box and remove the object vertically. If the hands are wet, the object may drop and be damaged. Preferably, the object is located in the box and can be directly displayed.
  • Taiwan Patent Publish No. M295635 discloses a display box for vases and includes a bottom plate, side plates and a cover. The bottom plate can be folded to form a tubular base with four sides. The base has a clamp opening in the top thereof so as to secure the vase in the opening. The base further has a side recess that the vase can be inserted into the base via the side recess which communicates with the opening. The cover is folded to have a notch defined between three folded sides which are perpendicular to each other. The top of the vase is secured in the notch. Therefore, the vase is well secured and no lining material is needed.
  • Although the display box for vases can protect the vase, it cannot display every portion of the vase.
  • Taiwan Patent Publish No. M295635 discloses a display box and includes an outer box, a base and a front mask. The outer box is a hollow box made by folding paper boards and the base is made by folding paper boards to form a support for being connected to the underside of the outer box. The front mask is a transparent mask which is mounted to the front side of the outer box and is located above the base. When in use, the base supports and secures the lower end of the object, and the outer box secures the top end of the object. The front mask is then mounted to the outer box. The display box is durable and easily made. The display box can be re-used and the object is displayed directly. Also, the display box can be used for transportation.
  • Although the display box has the function for directly displaying the object such as the vase, nevertheless, the object can only be picked out upward from the display box, and if the user's hands are wet and slippery, the object such as the vase still may drop.
  • The present invention intends to provide a display and storage box which improves the drawback of the conventional display box that has to pick out the object vertically and the object may drop if the user's hands are wet or slippery.

  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 is an exploded view to show the display and storage box of the present invention;
  • FIG. 2 is a cross sectional view to show the display and storage box of the present invention;
  • FIG. 3 is a perspective view to show the display and storage box of the present invention;

  • FIG. 5 shows another embodiment of the display and storage box of the present invention, and
  • FIG. 6 shows yet another embodiment of the display and storage box of the present invention.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • Referring to FIGS. 1 to 3, the display and storage box of the present invention comprises a box 1, two boards 2, a cover 3 and a support plate 4.
  • The box 1 comprises a bottom plate 11 having four sides, and a first side plate 12 and a second side plate 13 respectively extend upward from two opposite sides of the bottom plate 11, and a third side plate 14 and a fourth side plate 15 respectively extend upward from the other two opposite sides of the bottom plate 11. A space 16 is defined between the bottom plate 11, the first side plate 12, the second side plate 13, the third side plate 14 and the fourth side plate 15. When the fourth side plate 15 is folded downward and flattened, an opening 17 is formed between the fourth side plate 15 and the bottom plate 11. The opening 17 communicates with the space 16. The box 1 has at least one transparent window 18 defined in the fourth side plate 15. Two first positioning plates 141 extend from two sides of the third side plate 14, and two second positioning plates 151 extend from two sides of the fourth side plate 15. A folding line 152 is defined between the bottom plate 11 and the fourth side plate 15. The two first positioning plates 141 are respectively fixed to the first and second side plates 12, 13. When the fourth side plate 15 is pivoted upward, the two second positioning plates 151 are respectively in contact with the first and second side plates 12, 13. The two respective distal ends of the two second positioning plates 151 are in contact with the two respective distal ends of the two first positioning plates 141. The length of each of the first and second positioning plates 141, 151 is equal to one half of the length of each of the first and second side plates 12, 13.
  • The two boards 2 are located in the space 16 and matched with the first positioning plates 141. A slit 21 is defined between the board 2, the first side plate 12 and the second side plate 13, and the second positioning plate 151 is inserted into the slit 21.
  • The cover 3 is mounted to four respective outsides of the first, second, third and fourth side plates 12, 13, 14, 15.
  • The support plate 4 is located in the space 16 of the box 1.
  • When assembling, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the fourth side plate 15 is folded upward along the folding line 152 on the bottom plate 11 and the second positioning plates 151 are respectively matched with the first and second side plates 12, 13. The two respective distal ends of the two second positioning plates 151 are in contact with the two respective distal ends of the two first positioning plates 141. The boards 2 are inserted into the space 16 and are matched to the first and second positioning plates 141, 151. The first and second positioning plates 141, 151 are in contact with the first and second side plates 12, 13 by larger areas, so that the first and second positioning plates 141, 151 and the boards 2 reinforce the strength of the box 1 and increase the thickness of the box 1. The support plate 4 is put in the space 16 of the box 1 and the cover 3 is mounted to four respective outsides of the first, second, third and fourth side plates 12, 13, 14, 15. As shown in FIG. 3, the box 1 is more durable compared with the conventional boxes so as to protect the object “A” in the box 1 as shown in FIG. 4.
  • When displaying the object “A” as shown in FIG. 4, the object “A” is put in the space 16 of the box 1 and on the support plate 4. The fourth side plate 15 is folded downward and flattened to form the opening 17 between the fourth side plate 15 and the bottom plate 11, so that the object “A” is easily put in the space 16 or removed from the space 16 via the opening 17. The object “A” is moved by moving the support plate 4 so that the user's hands do not need to touch the object “A” and the object “A” is prevented from dropping form the user's hands.
  • The second embodiment of the present invention is shown in FIG. 5, wherein the third side plate 14 has a first clamp plate 142 extending outward therefrom and the fourth side plate 15 has a second clamp plate 153 extending outward therefrom and located corresponding to the first clamp plate 142. The first clamp plate 142 has a first recess 143 and the second clamp plate 153 has a second recess 154 which is located corresponding to the first recess 143 so that the object “A” in the box 1 can be restricted between the cooperated first and second recesses 143, 154.
  • The third embodiment of the present invention is shown in FIG. 6, wherein at least one board 2A is located in the space 16A and fixed to the first positioning plate 141A. A slit 21A is defined between the at least one board 2A, the first side plate 12A and the second side plate 13A. The second positioning plate 151A is inserted into the slit 21A. Adhesive strips 5A are respectively adhered to the at least one board 2A, the first side plate 12A and the second side plate 13A. The edge of the second positioning plate 151 A is a semi-circular edge so that the second positioning plate 151A is not interfered by the adhesive strip 5A and movable relative to the slit 21A. By the connection between the adhesive strips 5A and the at least one board 2A, the first side plate 12A and the second side plate 13A, the structural strength of the box 1A is reinforced and the box 1A is not easily broken.
