Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates to a protective clothing, especially to a protective clothing arranged with ventilation portions on areas with more movement such as armpits allowing air flowing in and out.
- 2. Descriptions of Related Art
- In different workplaces, there are various types of risk factors such as scattering of a-nuclides, floating asbestos dust, sputtering of corrosive organic solvents, etc. Without protective equipment, the direct contact of these risk factors will cause serious damages to human skin/body. Thus all working staffs need to wear protective clothing to minimize exposure to hazards. Moreover, in some specific fields such as semiconductor production, biomedical technology, precision machinery, pharmaceuticals and hospitals, parameters related to environmental conditions are under strict controlled due to extremely high sensitivity to various pollutants so as to reduce negative impacts on quality during manufacturing processes. Especially in the workplace of semiconductor industries, they have stringent requirements for various parameters such as moisture, temperature, cleanness, etc. In order to meet the cleanness requirement, human hair, furfur, sweat or spray is not allowed to enter the workplace. By the special equipment and clothing, the risk factors related to the cleanness are sealed between the clothing and the user's body.
- The most common protective equipment/clothing such as cleanroom suits, anti-static clothing etc. is one-piece that covers the whole body of users, only face and extremities are exposed. Then other protective accessories such as head covers, masks, gloves, shoe covers etc. are put on to achieve full-length isolation. Most of the surface area is covered and the human body is in a closed space. The heat and moisture from the body are also retained inside the protective clothing, unable to be dissipated efficiently. After a period of time, the staff feels hot and muggy. This not only reduces working efficiency but also dramatically decreases working duration.
- In most of high-tech cleanroom, the temperature is controlled by air-conditioner, ranging from 25 to 27 degree Celsius (° C.) and so are hospitals and laboratories. Even with air-conditioning, people wearing protective clothing or cleanroom suit still feel sweaty and uncomfortable. Moreover, most of workplaces would operate without air-conditioning. Within occasions without air-conditioning such as manufacturing process of chemical fiber or glass fiber, high pressure washing, oil tank cleaning, spray lacquer finish, etc, the muggy and uncomfortable feeling caused by the protective clothing will increase users' mental and physical load significantly.
- In the past, the material of the protective clothing is improved for improving hot and sweaty feelings. By improvement of air permeability of the material, the heavy heat and moisture are removed. However, the improvement of the air permeability has the limits. Moreover, there are conflicts between the concept of isolation and protection and the concept of air permeability and heat dissipation. The air permeability and ventilation effect of the protective clothing remain poor. Furthermore, the material with high air-permeability is quite expensive. Thus the cost of the protective clothing is high. For manufacturers that require large amount of protective clothing for their working staffs, high-cost protective clothing will dramatically increase production cost. Or it doesn't make sense comparing the times of use with the cost.
- There is room for improvement and a need to provide a protective clothing with ventilation effect not necessarily made from high-cost air-permeable material.
- Therefore it is a primary object of the present invention to provide a protective clothing with ventilation effect. The protective clothing includes ventilation portions with high air permeability, allowing air to flow in and out smoothly so as to adjust the temperature and moisture therein.
- It is another object of the present invention to provide a protective clothing with ventilation effect that is not completely made from high-cost air-permeable material. Instead, the protective clothing is arranged with ventilation portions so as to dissipate heat and moisture. The protective clothing with good ventilation effect is produced at lower cost.
- It is a further object of the present invention to provide a protective clothing with ventilation effect in which ventilation portions are arranged at areas with more movement during the operation such as armpits so as to ensure ventilation and cooling effects.
- It is a further object of the present invention to provide a protective clothing with ventilation effect that includes ventilation portions having filter material therein. The filter material is interchangeable with other high-effective filter material according to occasions the protective clothing is applied. Thus the protective clothing can be used in the workplaces with different risk factors by replacing the filter material.
- In order to achieve the above objects, a protective clothing with ventilation effect according to the present invention includes an airproof protection portion and a plurality of ventilation portions. The airproof protection portion consists of a head cover, a top and a pair of pants, all integrated into one piece. Each ventilation portion includes a filter material. The ventilation portions are arranged at the top or the pants. By the ventilation portions that allow air flowing, the heat dissipation is achieved. Moreover, the protection effect is also reached by the arrangement of the filter material while allowing the air to flow in and out.
- The structure and the technical means adopted by the present invention to achieve the above and other objects can be best understood by referring to the following detailed description of the preferred embodiments and the accompanying drawings, wherein:
-
FIG. 1 is a front view of an embodiment according to the present invention; -
FIG. 2 is a schematic drawing showing a part of an embodiment according to the present invention; -
FIG. 3 is a partial enlarged cross sectional view of an embodiment according to the present invention; -
FIG. 4 is a rear view of an embodiment according to the present invention. - Some protective clothing is made from material with high air permeability but still having poor ventilation and heat-dissipation effect at such high cost. Most of users hesitate to use such technology. In order to solve these problems, a protective clothing with ventilation effect for air permeability and heat dissipation is designed for better ventilation and heat dissipation effects at lower cost and broader applications.
- Refer to
FIG. 1 , protective clothing with air permeability of the present invention includes anairproof protection portion 1 and a plurality ofventilation portions 2. Theairproof protection portion 1 consists of ahead cover 10, atop 11 and a pair ofpants 12. Eachventilation portion 2 includes afilter material 21. - The
head cover 10, thetop 11 and thepants 12 are connected and integrated with each other to form a one-piece work clothes. Refer toFIG. 2 andFIG. 3 , theventilation portion 2 is arranged at thetop 11 or thepants 12 while thefilter material 21 is disposed on theventilation portion 2. - Refer to
FIG. 1 andFIG. 4 , theairproof protection portion 1 further includes azipper 3 and a plurality ofcuffs 4. The top 11 further includes at least onearmpit part 110 and thepants 12 include at least one knee pit part (popliteal fossa) 120. As to thefilter material 21, it further includes anadhesive part 210 and a plurality offilter particles 211. - The
zipper 3 is disposed in front of a chest part of theairproof protection portion 1, extending from thehead cover 10 to an abdominal area of theairproof protection portion 1. Thecuffs 4 are arranged at tips of limbs of theairproof protection portion 1. Thearmpit part 110 of the top 11 is arranged with theventilation portion 2. Theventilation portion 2 can also be disposed on theknee pit part 120 of thepants 12. Theadhesive part 210 is located on a periphery of thefilter material 21 while thosefilter particles 211 are inside thefilter material 21. - While in use, the present invention is worn like general one-piece protection clothing. Firstly, pull down the
zipper 3 completely and put users' arms, upper trunk and legs in the protective clothing of the present invention. Both the arms and the legs are put through thecuffs 4 and exposed outside. At last, pull up thezipper 3. The wearing of the protective clothing is done. - The arrangement of the
ventilation portion 2 is shown inFIG. 1 andFIG. 4 . In the present invention, theairproof protection portion 1 is made from high molecular polymer, featuring on air tightness or extremely lower permeability that is considered as airtight so as to provide excellent isolation and separation effect. Different from theairproof protection portion 1, theventilation portions 2 have numerous pores allowing air to flow in and out. The protective clothing of the present invention features on that it allows air to flow in and out smoothly for reducing muggy feeling therein. Thus theventilation portions 2 should be arranged at specific positions to achieve better ventilation and cooling effect. When the users move with the protective clothing, some areas are with more movement than others such as the armpit part 110 (when the arm is moved) and the knee pit part 120 (while walking, standing up and squatting down). These areas with more movement are ideal positions for arrangement of theventilation portions 2. When users move their arms for operation, walk, stand up or squat down, the users' arms or legs push and press thearmpit part 110 or theknee pit part 120 of the protective clothing. The users' actions cause the air to flow in and out through theventilation portions 2 so as to achieve the ventilation and breathability. - Moreover, while the user wears the present invention, heat and moisture from the user can also be dissipated to the external through the
ventilation portions 2. Due to thefilter particles 211 inside thefilter material 21 arranged at theventilation portions 2, contaminants from human bodies will not be released into the working space and the risk factors outside the protective clothing also will not enter into the protective clothing along with the air and will not cause damages to the user. Besides the ventilation effect, the present invention also provides users high-level protection. - In the above embodiment, the
airproof protection portion 1 is a main body of the present invention and theventilation portions 2 are disposed on specific positions of theairproof protection portion 1 for heat and moisture dissipation. In combination with thefilter material 21, ventilation, breathability and protection are achieved. Besides the above features, the present invention further provides interchangeable filter material so that the present invention is more flexible for broader applications. - The
filter material 21 at theventilation portion 2 is removable and replaceable. Theadhesive part 210 therearound can be Velcro fasteners with dense hooks and loops or other sealing restickable adhesives/reusable fasteners. Depending on different occasions, proper high-efficient filter material is used. The filter material is interchanged according to size, forms or physical/chemical properties of the risk factors in the workplace. Thus the present invention can be applied to the workplace with different risk factors through the replacement of thefilter material 21. There is no need to prepare another piece of protective clothing. The design of the present invention is convenient and flexible. - In summary, the protective clothing with ventilation effect according to the present invention makes users feel comfortable while wearing it. Thus the working efficiency within danger environment or special occasions is improved. Moreover, the low cost and flexible applications of the protective clothing meet the industry's demands.
- Additional advantages and modifications will readily occur to those skilled in the art. Therefore, the invention in its broader aspects is not limited to the specific details, and representative devices shown and described herein. Accordingly, various modifications may be made without departing from the spirit or scope of the general inventive concept as defined by the appended claims and their equivalents.
