Abstract

The present invention relates to a device and a method associated with the device. The device is a sequenced series of adhesives attached externally to forms of delivery containers. The method seals delivery containers by attaching at the edges, faces and surfaces allowing for re-use and multiple re-use. This method brings manufacturers a fiduciary and marketing benefit. It brings consumers benefit for their socially conscious recycling behaviors without compromising quality. The invention's core components are theme related, adhesive graphics of suitable thickness and stickiness, aligned and positioned on external horizontal and vertical seams, edges, faces, top and bottom of a delivery container. Once the contents are removed, the container's use may be altered, but not limited to, a child's play activity, a decorative object or a storage container.

Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Field of the Invention

The present invention relates generally to a means and method to seal boxes and other forms of delivery containers.
Currently, there are a number of solutions for a company to market themselves when they ship their products. Some of these solutions attempt to address a social benefit by using recycled composition for their delivery containers. These solutions fail to meet the needs of the industry because once the contents are removed; the containers are destroyed and not recycled. Furthermore, companies are not changing the behavior of consumers by failing to make recycled delivery containers available for reuse. Still, further, companies are failing to realize a financial benefit from materials they have already paid for.
Other solutions attempt to advertise by shipping in containers with the company name visibly printed on the outside. Similarly, there is limited benefit to a company if the containers are destroyed and no longer viewed by consumers.
Further, it would be desirable to have a device that allows companies an opportunity to increase their visibility to consumers and as a result, receive a financial benefit. Still further, it would be desirable to have a composition for individual consumers to benefit from a device that solves the problem of not wasting a valuable resource, such as a delivery container and not feel compromised on the quality or the value of their socially conscious behavior when they recycle it as a delivery container. Therefore, there currently exists a need in the industry for a device and an associated method that seals, and strengthens delivery containers for use and reuse as a means for delivering contents, multiple times. Therefore, there currently exists a need for a composition and method that seals and strengthens variously shaped and standard size delivery containers for reuse and multiple reuses. Still further, there exists a need such that once the contents are removed; a consumer may have a fiduciary benefit from a delivery container being used as a play activity for a child, a decorative object or a storage container.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention advantageously fills the aforementioned deficiencies by providing a means and method to seal boxes and other forms of delivery containers which provides an opportunity to change the recycling behavior of consumers and companies without feeling compromised on the quality of their socially conscious behavior. Furthermore, this invention increases marketing visibility and fiduciary benefits to companies. Still, further, it increases a financial benefit to consumers.
The present invention is a device and method for sealing boxes and other forms of delivery containers for multiple re-use. This device brings manufactures a fiducial benefit at no additional cost. It increases the visibility of their brand to consumers through increased use and circulation of their delivery containers. Furthermore this device changes the behavior of individual consumers by allowing them to not feel compromised on the quality or the value of their socially conscious behavior when they reuse a delivery container. The core components of the invention are; themed adhesive graphic designs of suitable thickness and stickiness which generally speaking attach to the delivery container, are aligned and positioned to each other on external horizontal and vertical seams, edges, the faces, the top and the bottom of variously shaped and standard size delivery containers. The themed adhesive graphic designs are mounted and colligated one to another at the seams, edges, the faces, the top and the bottom of variously shaped and standard sized delivery containers, thereby sealing and strengthening a delivery container for multiple re-use.
The theme related adhesive graphics of suitable thickness and stickiness may be neat and simple and of such form as to enable a delivery container to be easily and elegantly repurposed as a toy or play activity for a child of a reasonable size or as a decorative object or a storage container for the house.

Claims

The present invention is unique when compared with other known devices and solutions because the present invention provides manufacturers a marketing opportunity by extending the viewing of their name and symbols on reused delivery containers at minimal additional cost. The cost of theme related graphic designed adhesives that seal a delivery container for reuse is less costly than the cost of purchasing new delivery containers; it is consistent with a decision to use recycled material for delivery containers and once the contents are removed, it's purpose may be altered but not limited to a play activity of a child, or a decorative object or storage container for the house. Similarly, it is unique in that it is adaptable to the retail market. The invention is an easy application for a consumer to apply to a delivery container. Once the contents of a delivery container or removed the purpose may be altered but not limited to a play activity of a child or a decorative object or storage container for the house.
The present invention is different because it changes the behavior and attitude of manufacturers and consumers to delivery containers. This is due to the presence of a configuration that transforms a delivery container, through the use of theme based adhesive graphic designs, into a marketing opportunity for companies. There is limited additional cost and the benefit is realized through continued circulation and reuse of the manufacturer's delivery container. Its structure is an improved advertising platform to a plurality of consumers by a plurality of merchants. Due to the presence of unique physical features related to themed graphic design adhesives, attached and secured at horizontal and vertical edges and on faces and sides the delivery container continues to be a benefit to merchants allowing additional public viewing of their brand. Furthermore, this invention overcomes the problem of destroying useful materials prematurely. In one iteration, a delivery container purchased by the consumer, the present invention changes the usage of delivery containers because of its useful and inexpensive transformation from a delivery container to a play thing for a child, a decorative object or the house or a storage container.
Among other things, it is an object of the present invention to provide a means and method to seal boxes and other forms of delivery containers that does not suffer from any of the problems or deficiencies associated with prior solutions. It is an object of the present invention to create a device that is more economical for companies, that supports a changed behavior toward recycling on the part of consumers, that is easy to use by consumers and that is durable.
The present invention now will be described more fully hereinafter with reference to the accompanying drawings, which are intended to be read in conjunction with both this summary, the detailed description and any preferred and/or particular embodiments specifically discussed or otherwise disclosed. This invention may, however, be embodied in many different forms and should not be construed as limited to the embodiments set forth herein; rather, these embodiments are provided by way of illustration only and so that this disclosure will be thorough, complete and will fully convey the full scope of the invention to those skilled in the art.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWING

FIG. 1 shows a front and left side exterior view of a delivery container. It includes a right back interior perspective view of the same container. It identifies; the exterior vertical edges (1, 2,3,4)and the top exterior horizontal edges (17,18,19,20) the four bottom exterior horizontal edges (5,6,7,8) and the faces (12,13,15,16) to be sealed and strengthened using theme related graphic adhesives. It shows the top of a delivery container (31) by a set of intersecting arrows. It shows the bottom of a delivery container (32) by a set of intersecting arrows. It shows a top seam (33) that is created when two top portions of a delivery container are aligned in parallel to meet in the middle of a delivery container. It show a bottom seam (34) that is created when two bottom portions of a delivery container are aligned in parallel to meet in the middle the bottom of a delivery container.

FIG. 2 shows the front and left side view of a delivery container. It includes right back perspective view of the same container. It identifies the exterior faces of the container (12,13,15,16) It shows the four exterior vertical edges (1,2,3,4) on which a theme of a graphic designed adhesive (9,10,11,14), are attached and secured to a delivery container on the exterior faces (mentioned on 15) of the container. It shows where the theme graphic design adhesives attach to the underside (5 a, 5 b, 6 a, 6 b, 7 a, 7 b, 8 a, 8 b) of the bottom (32) of a delivery container. It shows the horizontal top edges (17, 18, 19, and 20) of a delivery container. It shows the four horizontal edges (5, 6, 7, and 8)

FIG. 3 shows the front and left side exterior of a delivery container. It shows the faces of a container (12, 13). It shows the bottom horizontal exterior edges (5,6) It shows the three exterior vertical edges (1,2,3) on which a theme of a certain graphic designed adhesive, are attached to the exterior faces (12,13) of the container as described in FIG. 2. FIG. 3 shows a top seam (33) sealed and supported by a themed graphic designed adhesive. It shows two top exterior horizontal edges (17, 18). It shows a graphic design, but not limited to this design, adhesive (25) attached to the front face (12) of a delivery container. It shows the bottom adhesive attachment (22) to the bottom (32) of a deliver container. It shows the top adhesive attachment (26) to the top (31) (FIG. 1, 10). DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The present invention is directed to a means and method to seal boxes and other forms of delivery containers.
For a more complete understanding of the present invention reference is now made to the following descriptions taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings of a delivery container in which upper parts meet in the center and in which lower parts meet in the center in parallel to faces and sides of a container but this invention is not limited to this structured delivery container. It includes any delivery container. FIG. 1 depicts an exterior front and left side exterior view of a delivery container. It includes a left back interior perspective view of the same container. It identifies; the exterior vertical edges (1, 2,3,4)and the exterior horizontal edges (5,6,7,8,17,18,19,20) and the faces(12,13,15,16) to be sealed and strengthened using theme related graphic adhesives. It identifies the seams of a delivery container of a certain shape but not limited to this shape to be sealed and strengthened as a delivery container. FIG. 2 shows the front and side view of a delivery container. It includes a right back perspective view of the same container. It identifies the faces of the container (12,13,15,16) It identifies the four exterior vertical edges on which a theme of a certain graphic designed adhesive, but not limited to this themed design, and thereafter referred to simply as “a themed graphic design adhesive”, is attached to the exterior faces of the container. A themed graphic designed adhesive (9) attached to edge 1 aligns with and attaches on the left to edge (20) and on the right to edge (17) and by extending a theme graphic designed adhesive in a downward motion over the faces (12) and (16), it aligns and attaches on the left to edge (8) and attaches (8 b) to the bottom (32), and on the right to edge (5) and attaches (5 a) to the bottom (32) and thereby sealing and strengthening the vertical edge (1). On edge (2) a theme graphic designed adhesive (10) aligns and attaches at the left with edge 17 and on the right with edge 18. By extending a theme graphic designed adhesive (10) in a downward motion over faces 12 and 13 it aligns and attaches over edge 2 to the left on edge 5 at (5 b) and on the right to edge 6 at (6 b) to the bottom (32) and thereby sealing and strengthening the vertical edge 2. On edge (3) a theme graphic designed adhesive (11) aligns and attaches at the left with edge 18 and on the right with edge 19 and by extending a theme graphic designed adhesive (9,11) in a downward motion over face 13 and 15, it aligns and attaches over edge 3 to the left on edge 6 at (6 b) and on the right to edge 7 at (7 a) to the bottom (32) and thereby sealing and strengthening the vertical edge 3. On edge (4) a theme graphic designed adhesive (14) aligns and attaches at the left with edge 19 and on the right with edge 20 and by extending the theme graphic designed adhesive (14) in a downward motion over face 15 and face 16, it aligns and attaches over edge 4 to the left to edge 7 at (7 b) and on the right to edge 8 at (8 a) and to the bottom (32) thereby sealing and strengthening the vertical edge 4. FIG. 3 shows the front and side exterior of a delivery container. It identifies the faces of a container (12,13) It identifies the three exterior vertical edges on which a theme of a certain graphic designed adhesive, but not limited to this themed design, and thereafter referred to simply as “a themed graphic design adhesive”, are attached to the exterior faces of the container as described in FIG. 2. On the face (12) the left top edge (26) of a themed graphic designed adhesive (25) is attached at edge (17) and attaches at the left bottom of edge (5). It attaches in parallel with the right vertical edge of (9) at edge 17 and the vertical edge of (9) at edge 5. On the face of (12) the right top edge (27) of a themed graphic design adhesive (25) is attached at edge (17 and the left top vertical edge of (10) and attaches at the right bottom edge of (10) at edge (5). The support (22) attaches to the bottom of the delivery container (32) thereby sealing and strengthening the face (12). FIG. 3 shows the top seams sealed and supported by a themed graphic designed adhesive that is on one end attached at edge 17 and on the other end to edge 19. FIG. 4. Shows the graphic designed adhesive of suitable width used to seal top and bottom seams of a delivery container with a space for an address and return label according to postal requirements.
Referring to the figures, FIG. 3 shows the overall invention, which is an improved method for sealing delivery containers. Notice that it is attractive in appearance and does not compromise the quality or the value of a either a consumer or a company's socially conscious behavior when they recycle a delivery container for multiple use and reuse
While the present invention has been described above in terms of specific embodiments, it is to be understood that the invention is not limited to these disclosed embodiments. Upon reading the teachings of this disclosure many modifications and other embodiments of the invention will come to mind of those skilled in the art to which this invention pertains, and which are intended to be and are covered by both this disclosure and the appended claims. It is indeed intended that the scope of the invention should be determined by proper interpretation and construction of the appended claims and their legal equivalents, as understood by those of skill in the art relying upon the disclosure in this specification and the attached drawings.

A means for sealing boxes consisting in a plurality of supporting members' adapted to be placed in relation one relative to another, a pressure element arranged on each member (sides, top, front back, bottom) to define a space conforming to the shape of the boxes and to be disposed relative to adhesive treated covers of the boxes for receiving the covers and said boxes there between and each acting to form and seal sais covers over the boxes thereby sealing and extending the sustainable use of shipping resources such as a cardboard box but not limite to cardboard. Thereby providing a delivery container for holding contents during delivery to a user that may after delivery of the container and removal of the contents therein, be altered but not limited to a play activity of a child or again revisit shipping company such as the Post Office, FedEx and experience again “second life” and increased visibility to the public.

What is claimed:

1. Customized sealing method for various and standard sized boxes but not limited to

For holding the content during delivery to the used, said stickers and tape comprising a set of sealing graphic depicting a theme and is in proportion of the box selected with a set of sealing graphic being capable of being attached to the exterior portion of any standard size box such that it alter the appearance of the exterior of the box according to configuration that has a least one unique physical feature identified and associated with but not limited to a theme such as the ocean the planets domestic life, transportation, safari's zoo wild animals, fairy tales, building, exploration, or medieval times.

2. The customized sealing of claim 1 wherein said at least one graphic to be attached to the exterior portion is to be attached in a manner to supplement and strengthen the box so that the box has a second life as a container used for shipping where in once the contents are remove, the box is again reusable.

3. The customized sealing of claim 1 contain a least one logo that identifies the method as belonging to the company called LuvABox(™) such that the container is identifiable from others

4. The sealing method assembly of claim 1 wherein at least one of said graphic to be attached to the exterior portion includes a new logo associated with the activity to themes such as but not limited to the planet, the ocean domestic life, transportation exploration, safari, fairy tales, building. Sports, Zoo, wild animals or ancient times.
