Description

    TECHNICAL FIELD
  • This invention is regarding carry bag for Surfboards.
  • Surfboards which is item to use for Surfing sports often put into the carry bag to protect from damages and easy hauling. Normally surf bags are stored in the car and remove from the bag when used for Surfing. Then restore back again when finished.
  • Top side of surfboard is called Deck where surfers ride on and bottom side of the surfboards is called bottom is the water sliding surface. Normally surf wax are solid base substance which create traction between deck to surf riders either body or feet. And applied on to deck surface only where surfer either lay or stand on.
  • However wax will melt under certain heat condition and when hot season such as summer in the car will be melted. When surfboards with Wax applied on deck is stored inside the surf bag, wax will melt and stick on to the surface of the deck side of surf bag. More to explain in detail, surf bag is made out of 2 side of cover (Top side and Bottom side). Then due to above happen, wax that had been melted and stuck to the deck side of bag and it will be contacting the bottom side of the surf bag when surfboards are removed and resulting to have melted wax on both top and bottom inside of the surf bag. Then if to put surfboards into surf bag again in this circumstance, then stuck wax on the bottom side of surf cover will be transfer to the bottom surface of Surfboard. And cause performance problem to surfboards with wax is stuck on the bottom surface of surfboards, where the surface supposed to be clean and slick in order for surfboards to run smooth on water surface.
  • The Subject 1 describes one side of the surf bag which has function to preventing surf wax to stick deck side of surfboards. It is described surfboards cover of top side which to cover the surfboard deck and also bottom side to cover the surfboard bottom water sliding surface. To store surfboard, those 2 parts will be covering both surface of the surfboards. Then when surfboards are removed, those 2 parts of cover can be retaining opened. Thus melted was applied top side of the bag will not touch to the bottom side of the bag.
  • [Patent Document 1] Japanese Patent Application Laid-open No. 2004-174072
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION Problem to be Solved by the Invention
  • Normally surf bag that removed surfboards during Surfboards are used, it is mostly kept in the car. That means either folded or rolled to put away compact in the car. However if bag is kept the way above then the top side and bottom side of cover will contact. Resulting melted wax transfer from the top part of surfboards cover to the bottom side of the surfboards cover.
  • This invention is to prevent wax transfer mentioned above situation.
  • Means for Solving Problems
  • To solve problems above, this invention is to install one extra sheet layer on entire surface of top side of the surf bag that is removable or foldable. Thus top side of surf bag which the side to contact wax applied surf boards deck will have one extra layer of sheet to prevent top side of inside the bag to have wax transferred from surfboard deck. The claim 2 describes part of invention which is surf bag that has top part of bag where to contact surfboard deck with wax applied, which has one extra sheet layer installed. And installed layer can be fully remove from the bag or folded into half to wrap stuck wax from surfboard deck. Also this surf bag is constructed in 2 part of top and bottom side that will be able to open entire surface by the zipper to divide 2 parts.
  • Effect of the Invention
  • Under This invention, the surf bag has protection layer sheet is installed inside of the surf bag on top side (deck side of surfboard), so that when surfboards deck waxed are stored, wax on the deck of the surfboards can be prevented to melt and stick on to the inner part of surf bag. Where temperature is high enough for wax to be melt, those melted wax will be stick to the removable layer but not stick to the inside of surf bag itself. And this removable layer can be either removed or folded so that even to fold or roll surf bag itself, the melted wax will not transfer to inside of the surf bag itself. And removable layer can be folded and kept in the bag so that it can prevent loss of the removable layer.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1: Invention is described the style and the function of the surf bag and how to actually place the surfboards when stored.
  • FIG. 2: Standard surfboard side shot
  • FIG. 3: Invention is described of how it works.
  • (A) surf bag is opened
  • (B) removable layer is folded in half to enclosed wax stuck surface
  • MODES FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
  • FIG. 1: It will explain how this invention works under the surf bag 10. As described our invented function surf bag 10 is mainly same usage purpose of other standard surf bags which to use for carry or to use for storage of surfboards 20. This surf board 20 which is stored into bag 10 is standard surfboards shape, rounded outline and have various rocker. FIG. 2 describes surfboards 20 of deck side (top side when placed on water surface) is called deck 21 where surf rider either lay or stand on and applied surf wax to have traction, and other side is facing water surface is called “bottom” 22. Deck surface 21 normally applied surf wax to get traction which is solid paste base substance, but bottom side 22 must not have any wax and kept clean in order to slide on the water surface and normally surf fin is installed (mostly removable fin).
  • This surf bag 10 is same as common surf bag that constructed of cover 12 to cover surfboards deck 21, and 2nd cover 14 to cover bottom of the surfboards. And both 12 and 14 has rounded outline shaped which is similar to surfboards outline and surf bag is slightly bigger than surfboards 20 to easily fit into it. And those cover 12 and 14 is mainly made out of synthetic fabrics and cushioned for protection of the surfboards. Surf bag 12 and 14 is connected by the part 13. And other than part 13, they are equipped with zipper 15 to be enclosed together. And when zipper 15 is fully un zipped, then surf bag 10 can be fully opened.
  • This invented function equipped surf bag 10, the cover part 12 has removable layer 16. Removable layer 16 is almost same shape to deck surface 21 and mainly made out of synthetic materials. This removable layer 16 is installed inside of the cover 12 part and it can be also removed. It is fixed by Velcro or buttons so that it can be removed when needed from the cover part 12.
  • This invention equipped surf bag 10 factor will be explain. First of all surf boards 20 to store into surf bag 10. Open the Zipper 15 then inside of surf bag 10 will fully opened like to open the book. Removable layer is installed inside the cover of 12. Surfboards deck surface 21 to place on the surface of removable layer. Then to close 2nd cover of 14 placed the bottom of surfboards. Then to finally close zipper 15 to enclosed bag. Then surf bag 10 become bag shaped container. So in case the temperature raised resulting surfboards deck applied wax melted, however it will not stick to the inside of cover 12 part thus inside of the surf bag can be retained clean.
  • Explaining of how to remove surfboards 20 from surf bag 10. Zipper 15 to open and cover part 12 and 14 to be opened fully. Then remove surfboards 20. Removable layer which has stuck wax will be folded to wrap stuck surf wax. Then surf bag 10 can be folded or rolled to store compact without concern about wax to be stick any part of surf bag inside.
  • To store back surfboards 20 into the surf bag 10, open the surf bag 10 by opening the part of 12 and 14. As mentioned the removable layer 16 is attach to the part of inside of the surf bag 12 and place the surfboards deck surface side 21 facing the removable layer 16 and enclose the bag with zipper 15. Then melted wax transferred to removable layer 16 will not transferred to surf bag part 12 thus melted wax will not contact bottom of the surfboards bottom surface 22.
  • FIG. 3 will explain 2nd function of the surf bag 10. Removable layer 16 is fixed to the part of inside of the surf bag 12. Removable layer 16 can be folded in half inside of the surf bag 10 and retain inside. Since of the melted wax stuck to removable layer 16 surfaces is folded and enclosed, then melted wax will not exposed and stick to other part of inside of surf bag 10. In detail, lower part of 16 (16 a) is fixed onto the surf bag 10 and 16 b is attached with Velcro so that 16 b can be removed from surf bag 10 and fold in half towards 16 b. Also it is shown fixed Velcro 19 b onto inside of 12 and 19 a on the removable layer 16 b.
  • Removable layer 16 has the part that contact to surfboards deck surface 21 and part that is not contact. And contact part is shown as shaded. When 16 is not folded, then the part of shaded will be contacting surfboards deck surface 21 and wax will be stuck when store surfboards 20. When removable layer 16 upper half 16 b parts is detached and fold onto 16 a, shaded part of wax stuck surface will be enclosed and wax will not expose to any other part of surf bag 10. This will protect surfboards sliding bottom surface 22 can be retain clean without any wax stuck. And father more since removable layer 16 is fixed to inside of surf bag part 12, it will prevent loss of removable layer 16.
  • Surf bag can be designed in any shape. For example the removable layer 16 was detachable of the top half of it but it can also be detachable of the lower half as well. Also it can be folded vertically by left to right or vise versa. It was explained to design removable layer 16 to the same shape as surfboards deck 21 however it can also be designed only the part of wax applied section of the surfboards deck 21 as well. Also for the material can be various. It is explained to use synthetic material for removable layer 16 but it can also use any other material to function as piece of sheet to melted wax to prevent stuck other part of inside of surf bag 10. Also this invention is described as to use for one surfboard however it can be 2 or more surfboards. Additional Removable layer can be added to inside of the surf bag 10 same quantities as the stored number of the surfboards. And it can be removed when remove surfboards from the surf bag 10.
