- a primary carrier with its plug-in part is provided for detachable suspension in a selected cell of the grid-type field.
- the plug-in part has an upwardly pointing hook contour which is intended for engaging behind the horizontal web which defines the selected cell at the top.
- One or several primary carriers can support a secondary carrier.
- WO 2009/073990 A1 makes known a hanging apparatus for displaying articles which has a plug-in receiving means with a front side and a rear side.
- a primary carrier has a plug-in part which is intended for detachable suspension in the plug-in receiving means.
- the plug-in part has an upwardly pointing hook contour which is provided for co-operating with a counter contour in the plug-in receiving means.
- the plug-in part has a stop member which, in the plugged-in state, is supported on the front side of the plug-in receiving means.
- the plug-in receiving means is realized as a grid-type field which has a plurality of cells which are open to the front side and are surrounded by horizontal webs and vertical webs.
- the counter contour is formed by the respective top horizontal web which is associated with the relevant cell and which is engaged behind by the hook contour.
- the cells are arranged abutting against each other in horizontal lines and vertical rows and are also open to the rear side of the grid-type field.
- the horizontal and vertical webs enclose a principally rectangular, preferably square opening between the front and rear side.
- the horizontal and vertical webs of a grid-type field are realized with half their length at its outside edges, as a result of which, when a next grid-type field is added, the horizontal and vertical webs of said next grid with half the length at the outside edges together produce complete cells.
- the grid-type field On the rear side, the grid-type field has cams which serve for fastening assembly parts or for direct fastening to a supporting structure and as spacers to said supporting structure.
- cams which serve for fastening assembly parts or for direct fastening to a supporting structure and as spacers to said supporting structure.
- supports are only plugged into the grid-type field from its front side, the design of the plug-in part is relatively expensive and only one variant of the support is available.
- the object underlying the invention is to create a generic apparatus with the possibility of suspending primary carriers from both sides of the grid-type field.
- a further object is to develop the plug-in part structurally in as simple a manner as possible to minimize production costs.
- Another object is to propose several variants of the carrier which can be suspended in the grid-type field in order to enable a greater breadth of variation for the loading of the grid-type field.
- structural means are to be created in order to arrange the grid-type field in a free-standing manner or to mount it on a rear wall or to suspend it.
- the hanging apparatus for displaying articles initially includes a grid-type field which has a plurality of systematically arranged cells which are surrounded in each case by two horizontal webs and two vertical webs, wherein the cells are open to a front side and to a rear side.
- the hanging apparatus has associated therewith a primary carrier which has at least one plug-in part which is intended to be detachably suspended in a selected cell.
- the plug-in part has an upwardly pointing hook contour which, in the suspended state, engages behind the horizontal web which defines the selected cell at the top.
- the plug-in part has a bottom stop member which, in the suspended state, is supported on the horizontal web defining the selected cell at the bottom.
- the plug-in part has at least one sheet-like flank with a front edge which merges into the hook contour at the top.
- the bottom stop member is provided on an underside of the flank.
- the at least one flank of a primary carrier which is presented from the front side of the grid-type field, can be suspended in the selected cell and the at least one flank of a primary carrier, which is presented from the rear side, can be suspended in the selected cell at the same time.
- a top recess which adjoins the hook contour and ends at a top stop member is provided on a top edge of the at least one flank, wherein the top recess is dimensioned in such a manner in order to accommodate therein the depth dimension of a horizontal web lying between the front side and the rear side.
- a beveled and/or rounded-off bottom edge is located between the front edge and the bottom stop member.
- a bottom recess which is defined by the bottom end of the front edge, adjoins the stop member, wherein the bottom recess is dimensioned in such a manner in order to accommodate therein the depth dimension of a horizontal web lying between the front side and the rear side.
- the plug-in part of a first variant of primary carrier has two congruently contoured flanks, which are spaced apart from each other in parallel and are connected together integrally in a U-shaped manner by a central web. A space which is open on multiple sides is located between the two flanks. A support element attaches to an outside of the central web facing away from the flanks by way of a second end and the support element extends as far as up to a first end.
- flanks are provided on their respective outer side with a raised retaining contour in order to reduce the lateral play of the plug-in part suspended in the cell.
- a second variant primary carrier is assembled from at least two plug-in parts, each with only one flank, a strip-shaped cross connector and several support elements branching off therefrom.
- the plug-in parts are attached to a side surface of the cross connector directly or by way of an extension piece connected thereto.
- the support elements e.g. in the form of straight bar sections with a round cross section, are fastened to the opposite side surface of the cross connector.
- the spacing between the plug-in parts complements the grid dimension of the vertical webs of the grid-type field defining the cells.
- the grid-type field is arranged in a support structure which can have a platform placed on the subsurface and/or a frame encompassing the grid-type field. Or for mounting on the ceiling and/or wall, the grid-type field is provided on the rear side facing away from the room with a framework which serves as a means for suspension from a ceiling and/or as a means for separation from a rear wall.
- a preferably one-part holder is provided to fasten a grid-type field to a rear wall.
- the holder consists of one retaining part, which is bent in the form of a narrow U-shape, with a recess extending from the bend and two wings which are spread apart and attach to the ends of the retaining part and form a contact flange.
- a gap extending as far as up to the bend opens out between the wings.
- each wing preferably for screw-connection to the rear wall.
- the holder In the mounted state the holder is plugged onto a vertical web from the front side such that it rests in the gap and the wings, which are fastened to the rear wall, come to rest at a spacing from the rear side.
- the spacing between the rear side of the grid-type field and the rear wall forms the clearance for the engaging-behind hook contours of the primary carrier.
- the locking elements are braced against the vertical web encompassed by the holder and consequently act as counter hooks against the pushing forward of the grid-type field in the direction of the rear wall.
- Both variants of the primary carriers, along with the direct addition of articles to be displayed, can also be utilized for supporting a repository, e.g. in the form of a shelf, a grating or a receptacle, wherein these types of repositories are provided as secondary carriers and serve to display the articles in a horizontal manner.

- FIG. 1 A first figure.
- the grid-type field 1 set up in a vertical plane has several horizontal rows and vertical lines of cells 10 which are surrounded in each case at the top and bottom by a horizontal web 11 and on each side by a vertical web 12 .
- the cells 10 which are rectangular or square in shape, are open to the front side 18 and to the rear side 19 of the grid-type field 1 .
- the grid-type field 1 is preferably produced of sheet metal with a thickness of, for example, 2.0 mm.
- the horizontal and vertical inside width is, for example, 48.0 mm and the depth of one cell 10 is, for example, 25.0 mm.
- This sequence of figures relates to a first variant primary carrier 2 which is assembled from a bar-shaped support element 20 and a U-shaped plug-in part 21 attaching to the second end 202 of said support element.
- the first end 201 of the extension arm 20 projects freely into the room.
- the second end 202 attaches at right angles and centrally to the central web 210 of the plug-in part 21 .
- a flank 211 which has a recess 213 at the top edge thereof, is bent off at right angles from the central web 210 such that a top stop member 215 is created in front of the central web 210 and a hook contour 214 , extending vertically beyond the level of the central web 210 , is raised up adjoining the front edge 212 .
- a space 218 open on three sides is created between the two flanks 211 .
- the front edge 212 merges into a bottom edge 216 and ends at a bottom stop member 217 which is created similarly to the top stop member 215 , but is slightly further away from the plane of the central web 210 .
- the support element 20 consequently has a slight upward trend toward the first end 201 in relation to the horizontal in order to avoid the negatively acting optical impression of sagging, in particular under load.
- a spherically arched retaining contour 219 which is generated in an advantageous manner by pressing out the inside surface of the flank 211 , is provided in each case centrally on both flanks 211 .
- the first variant primary carriers 2 with retaining contours 219 on the plug-in part 21 are used when only one primary carrier 2 is inserted into a cell 10 from the front side 18 or the rear side 19 (see FIGS. 5A to 5D ).
- plug-in part 21 is designed according to FIG. 2E , there is no retaining contour 219 .
- Said primary carriers 2 are used when a primary carrier 2 , the flanks 211 of which interlock in an offset manner (see FIGS. 6A and 6B ), is inserted into a cell 10 in each case from the front side 18 and the rear side 19 .
- Said sequence of figures includes a first variant primary carrier, extensively similar to FIGS. 2A to 2E , but the development of the plug-in part 21 is modified.
- the top recess 213 extends down deeper into the flanks 211 and the bottom edge extends descending inclinedly from the hook contour 214 toward the top stop member 215 .
- a bottom recess 217 ′′ which is defined by the downwardly projecting front edge 212 , additionally adjoins the bottom stop member 217 . In the suspended state, the more deeply indented top recess 213 and in particular the bottom recess 217 ′′ bring about improved locking against unintended removal from the grid-type field 1 (see FIGS. 7A to 7D ).
- FIGS. 4A and 4B are identical to FIGS. 4A and 4B.
- a second variant primary carrier 2 ′ with a complex structure is assembled from at least two plug-in parts 21 ′ each with only one flank 211 ′, one strip-shaped cross connector 23 ′ and several support elements 20 ′ branching therefrom.
- the plug-in parts 21 ′ are attached, for example welded, at right angles to a side surface of the cross connector 23 ′ without a connecting extension 22 ′.
- the spacing between the plug-in parts 21 ′ complements the dimensions of the grid-type field 1 .
- the support elements 20 ′ for example in the form of straight rod sections with a round cross section, are fastened to the opposite side surface of the cross connector 23 ′.
- FIGS. 4C and 4D are identical to FIGS. 4C and 4D.
- the plug-in parts 21 ′ of the said second variant primary carrier 2 ′ with the complex structure are attached at rights angles to a side surface of the cross connector 23 ′ by way of a connecting extension piece 22 ′.
- the first end 221 ′ of the extension piece 22 ′ is fastened to the cross connector 23 ′, whilst the second end 222 ′ of the extension piece 22 ′ merges integrally into the plug-in part 21 ′.
- Several support elements 20 ′ extend from the opposite side surface of the cross connector 23 ′.
- the flank 211 ′ once again has a front edge 212 ′, a recess 213 ′ located on the top edge with the hook contour 214 ′ and the top stop member 215 ′.
- the front edge 212 ′ merges into the bottom edge 216 ′ which extends as far as up to the bottom stop member 217 ′.
- the plug-in part 21 ′ can be provided with a bottom recess 217 ′′ adjoining the bottom stop member 217 ′ in place of the beveled or rounded-off bottom edge 216 ′.
- FIGS. 5A to 5D are identical to FIGS. 5A to 5D
- the primary carrier 2 with the retaining contours 219 according to FIGS. 2A to 2D is preferred.
- the plug-in part 21 is moved into the cell 10 when the support element 20 is raised in an inclined manner.
- the most practical thing to do is to attach the stop members 215 to the front edge of the horizontal web 11 defining the relevant cell 10 at the top.
- the beveled bottom edges 216 make an inclined insertion possible.
- the hook contours 214 already pass in part behind the horizontal web 11 , which covers the occupied cell 10 at the top. However, the horizontal web 11 is not yet engaged behind by the hook contours 214 .
- the central web 210 comes to lie in the horizontal plane, hook contours 214 engage behind it and project beyond the horizontal web 11 and the bottom stop members 217 are positioned on the bottom horizontal web 11 , which defines the occupied cell 10 at the bottom.
- the two outwardly curved retaining contours 219 fill out the gap remaining between the two flanks 211 and the vertical web 12 adjoining in each case such that the plug-in part 21 centers and plugs in the cell 10 where possible without lateral play.
- the top stop members 215 should not project into the thickness of the top horizontal web 11 in order to leave space for a primary carrier 2 to be inserted into the cell 10 located above.
- the top stop members 215 can correspondingly project in part into the thickness of the top horizontal web 11 .
- FIGS. 6A and 6B are identical to FIGS. 6A and 6B.
- the pair of hook contours 214 which are associated with the primary carrier 2 inserted from the front side 18 engage behind the horizontal web 11 defining the cell 10 at the top on the rear side 19 .
- the pair of hook contours 214 which are associated with the primary carrier 2 inserted from the rear side 19 engage behind the identical horizontal web 11 on the front side 18 .
- the inner surface of the respective central web 210 is at a spacing in front of the front or rear side 18 , 19 of the grid-type field 1 such that in each case space 218 remains for the hook contours 214 of the flanks 211 positioned on the inside.
- the grid-type field 1 shown in its entirety in FIG. 7A with its front side 18 and the rear side 19 assumes a rectangular surface and is bordered by a frame 91 . It otherwise consists, once again, of cells 10 which are arranged in horizontal lines and vertical rows and are bordered in each case by two horizontal webs 11 and two vertical webs 12 . The respective horizontal webs 11 and vertical webs 12 are formed by the surrounding frame 91 for the cells 10 on the outer edges.
- the modified first variant bottom primary carrier 2 (see FIGS. 3A to 3C ) is situated initially in the partially suspended state (see FIGS. 7A to 7C ).
- the plug-in part 21 hangs in an inclined manner in the selected cell 10 , the inclined front edge 212 rests in the bottom region in the cell 10 whilst the protruding hook contour 214 on the rear side 19 engages behind the top horizontal web 11 which momentarily rests deep in the top recess 213 .
- the central web 210 is inclined in front of the selected cell 10 such that the top stop member 215 dips into the cell 10 which is located above the selected cell 10 .
- the bar-shaped support element 20 which branches off from the central web 210 points upward extending into the room by way of its first end 201 .
- the top primary carrier 2 By being pivoted out of the state previously suspended in part in the horizontal and lowered, the top primary carrier 2 is moved into the correct completely suspended state.
- the front edge 212 is located in its entirety on the rear side 19 , the hook contour 214 engages behind the top horizontal web 11 and the bottom end of the front edge 212 engages behind the bottom horizontal web 11 on which the bottom recess 217 ′′ rests.
- the bottom stop member 217 is pushed from the front side 18 against the bottom horizontal web 11 .
- the top horizontal web 11 against which the top stop member 215 is pushed, rests in the top recess 213 .
- the primary carrier 2 suspended in the cell 10 is consequently locked against knocks directed upward and downward.
- a principal possibility for use of the hanging apparatus is the arrangement of the grid-type field 1 in a supporting structure 9 with a platform 90 placed on the subsurface and a frame 91 extending around the grid-type field 1 .
- This rack construction is particularly suited for positioning in the centre of a room with loading and access from the front and rear side 18 , 19 .
- the first variant primary carriers 2 according to FIGS. 2A to 2E and the modification according to FIGS. 3A to 3C as well as the second variant primary carriers 2 ′ according to FIGS. 4A to 4D are available for loading the cells 10 .
- the primary carriers 2 ′ can be dimensioned such that their length corresponds to the width of the grid-type field 1 .
- One advantageous loading combination would be to suspend one primary carrier 2 ′ according to FIG. 4A without extension pieces 22 ′ on the plug-in parts 21 ′ into a top row of cells 10 and below this to suspend a primary carrier 2 ′ according to FIG. 4C with extension pieces 22 ′ on the plug-in parts 21 ′ into a row of cells 10 further down.
- the support elements 20 ′ of the bottom primary carrier 2 ′ consequently produce a plane of suspension which is set further forward into the room in relation to the support elements 20 ′ of the top primary carrier 2 ′.
- the support elements 20 , 20 ′ can have a cross section which is circular to spheroid or multi-edged.
- the loading pattern with the primary carriers 2 , 2 ′ in lines of cells 10 and/or individual rows 10 is determined according to the type, size and quantity of the articles to be displayed on the hanging apparatus.
- One individual first variant primary carrier 2 preferably however at least two such primary carriers 2 suspended next to each other, and a second variant primary carrier 2 ′ can be utilized apart from the direct addition of articles to be displayed also for supporting a repository—e.g. in the form of a shelf, a grating or a receptacle.
- a repository e.g. in the form of a shelf, a grating or a receptacle.
- Such a repository is provided as a secondary carrier and serves for displaying articles in a horizontal manner.
- the grid-type field 1 can be provided on the rear side 19 facing away from the room with a framework 92 which is developed as a means for suspension from a ceiling and/or as a means for separation from a rear wall.
- a framework 92 is attached in the bottom region and a further framework 92 in the top region.
- Holders 3 are available to fasten a grid-type field 1 to a rear wall 99 .
- the preferably one-piece holder 3 consists of a retaining part 30 which is bent tightly in a U-shaped manner with a recess 31 extending from the bend and two wings 35 which are spread apart from each other and attach to the ends of the retaining part 30 and form a contact flange.
- a gap 32 which extends as far as up to the bend opens out between the wings 35 .
- a hole 36 preferably for screw connection to the rear wall 99 , is provided in each wing 35 .
- the holder 3 In the mounted state, the holder 3 is plugged from the front side 18 onto a vertical web 12 such that it rests in the gap 32 and the wings 35 fastened to the rear wall 99 come to rest at a spacing from the rear side 19 .
- the spacing between the rear side 19 of the grid-type field 1 and the rear wall 99 forms the clearance for the engaging-behind hook contours 214 , 214 ′ of suspended primary carriers 2 , 2 ′.
- the locking elements 33 On the rear side 19 , the locking elements 33 are braced against the vertical web 12 encompassed by the holder 3 and consequently act as counter hooks against the grid-type field 1 being pushed forward in the direction of the rear wall 99 .

Description
- The present invention relates to a hanging apparatus for displaying articles, said hanging apparatus is based on a plug-in receiving means, which is in the form of a grid-type field with a plurality of cells and which has a front side and a rear side. A primary carrier with its plug-in part is provided for detachable suspension in a selected cell of the grid-type field. The plug-in part has an upwardly pointing hook contour which is intended for engaging behind the horizontal web which defines the selected cell at the top. One or several primary carriers can support a secondary carrier. These types of apparatuses are typical structures built in shops.
- WO 2009/073990 A1 makes known a hanging apparatus for displaying articles which has a plug-in receiving means with a front side and a rear side. A primary carrier has a plug-in part which is intended for detachable suspension in the plug-in receiving means. The plug-in part has an upwardly pointing hook contour which is provided for co-operating with a counter contour in the plug-in receiving means. The plug-in part has a stop member which, in the plugged-in state, is supported on the front side of the plug-in receiving means. The plug-in receiving means is realized as a grid-type field which has a plurality of cells which are open to the front side and are surrounded by horizontal webs and vertical webs. The counter contour is formed by the respective top horizontal web which is associated with the relevant cell and which is engaged behind by the hook contour. The cells are arranged abutting against each other in horizontal lines and vertical rows and are also open to the rear side of the grid-type field. The horizontal and vertical webs enclose a principally rectangular, preferably square opening between the front and rear side. The horizontal and vertical webs of a grid-type field are realized with half their length at its outside edges, as a result of which, when a next grid-type field is added, the horizontal and vertical webs of said next grid with half the length at the outside edges together produce complete cells. On the rear side, the grid-type field has cams which serve for fastening assembly parts or for direct fastening to a supporting structure and as spacers to said supporting structure. In the case of said apparatus, supports are only plugged into the grid-type field from its front side, the design of the plug-in part is relatively expensive and only one variant of the support is available.
- In relation to the previously known prior art, the object underlying the invention is to create a generic apparatus with the possibility of suspending primary carriers from both sides of the grid-type field.
- A further object is to develop the plug-in part structurally in as simple a manner as possible to minimize production costs.
- Another object is to propose several variants of the carrier which can be suspended in the grid-type field in order to enable a greater breadth of variation for the loading of the grid-type field.
- Finally, structural means are to be created in order to arrange the grid-type field in a free-standing manner or to mount it on a rear wall or to suspend it.
- The hanging apparatus for displaying articles initially includes a grid-type field which has a plurality of systematically arranged cells which are surrounded in each case by two horizontal webs and two vertical webs, wherein the cells are open to a front side and to a rear side. In addition, the hanging apparatus has associated therewith a primary carrier which has at least one plug-in part which is intended to be detachably suspended in a selected cell. The plug-in part has an upwardly pointing hook contour which, in the suspended state, engages behind the horizontal web which defines the selected cell at the top. The plug-in part has a bottom stop member which, in the suspended state, is supported on the horizontal web defining the selected cell at the bottom. The plug-in part has at least one sheet-like flank with a front edge which merges into the hook contour at the top. The bottom stop member is provided on an underside of the flank. The at least one flank of a primary carrier, which is presented from the front side of the grid-type field, can be suspended in the selected cell and the at least one flank of a primary carrier, which is presented from the rear side, can be suspended in the selected cell at the same time.
- Special embodiments of the hanging apparatus are described below: a top recess which adjoins the hook contour and ends at a top stop member is provided on a top edge of the at least one flank, wherein the top recess is dimensioned in such a manner in order to accommodate therein the depth dimension of a horizontal web lying between the front side and the rear side. A beveled and/or rounded-off bottom edge is located between the front edge and the bottom stop member. As an alternative to this, a bottom recess, which is defined by the bottom end of the front edge, adjoins the stop member, wherein the bottom recess is dimensioned in such a manner in order to accommodate therein the depth dimension of a horizontal web lying between the front side and the rear side.
- In the case of a plug-in part suspended in a selected cell in each case from the front side and from the rear side:
- a) in each case a flank from each of the two plug-in parts comes to rest in each case on the adjacent vertical web and the respective other flank comes to rest on the inside of the first-mentioned flank and, in this case, projects into the space of the relevant opposite plug-in part;
- b) as a result of the four flanks of the two plug-in parts of both primary carriers interlocking offset in a fork-shaped manner, the plug-in parts of the same rest in a commonly occupied cell in principle without lateral play;
- c) the pair of hook contours associated with the primary carrier suspended from the front side engages behind the horizontal web, which defines the cell at the top, at the back;
- d) in an analogous manner, the pair of hook contours associated with the primary carrier suspended from the rear side engages behind the identical horizontal web on the front side; and
- e) the inner surface of the respective central web is at a spacing in front of the front side or the rear side of the grid-type field such that, in each case, space remains for the hook contours of the flanks positioned on the inside.
- For the suspending of only one primary carrier in a selected cell from the front side or the rear side, the flanks are provided on their respective outer side with a raised retaining contour in order to reduce the lateral play of the plug-in part suspended in the cell.
- A second variant primary carrier is assembled from at least two plug-in parts, each with only one flank, a strip-shaped cross connector and several support elements branching off therefrom. The plug-in parts are attached to a side surface of the cross connector directly or by way of an extension piece connected thereto. The support elements, e.g. in the form of straight bar sections with a round cross section, are fastened to the opposite side surface of the cross connector. The spacing between the plug-in parts complements the grid dimension of the vertical webs of the grid-type field defining the cells.
The holder consists of one retaining part, which is bent in the form of a narrow U-shape, with a recess extending from the bend and two wings which are spread apart and attach to the ends of the retaining part and form a contact flange. A gap extending as far as up to the bend opens out between the wings.
- A hole is provided in each wing preferably for screw-connection to the rear wall. There is a tongue-shaped, inwardly bent locking element in the vicinity of the transitions from the retaining part to the respective wing. In the mounted state the holder is plugged onto a vertical web from the front side such that it rests in the gap and the wings, which are fastened to the rear wall, come to rest at a spacing from the rear side. The spacing between the rear side of the grid-type field and the rear wall forms the clearance for the engaging-behind hook contours of the primary carrier. On the rear side, the locking elements are braced against the vertical web encompassed by the holder and consequently act as counter hooks against the pushing forward of the grid-type field in the direction of the rear wall. When suspending a primary carrier into the adjacent cell, the recess on the holder makes it possible to bring the retaining contour forward to the inner surface of the vertical web provided with the holder.

- The following definition is applicable to the entire further description. If reference numerals are included in a figure for the purposes of clarity in the drawings, but are not explained in the description text directly associated therewith, reference is made to the mention thereof in preceding or subsequent descriptions of the figures. In the interest of clarity, the repeated designation of components in further figures is dispensed with for the most part in so far as it can be seen clearly in the drawing that it is a question of “recurring” components.
- The grid-
type field 1 set up in a vertical plane has several horizontal rows and vertical lines ofcells 10 which are surrounded in each case at the top and bottom by ahorizontal web 11 and on each side by avertical web 12. Thecells 10, which are rectangular or square in shape, are open to thefront side 18 and to therear side 19 of the grid-type field 1. The grid-type field 1 is preferably produced of sheet metal with a thickness of, for example, 2.0 mm. The horizontal and vertical inside width is, for example, 48.0 mm and the depth of onecell 10 is, for example, 25.0 mm. - This sequence of figures relates to a first variant
primary carrier 2 which is assembled from a bar-shapedsupport element 20 and a U-shaped plug-inpart 21 attaching to thesecond end 202 of said support element. Thefirst end 201 of theextension arm 20 projects freely into the room. Thesecond end 202 attaches at right angles and centrally to thecentral web 210 of the plug-inpart 21. On each of the two sides aflank 211, which has arecess 213 at the top edge thereof, is bent off at right angles from thecentral web 210 such that atop stop member 215 is created in front of thecentral web 210 and ahook contour 214, extending vertically beyond the level of thecentral web 210, is raised up adjoining thefront edge 212. Aspace 218 open on three sides is created between the twoflanks 211. Thefront edge 212 merges into abottom edge 216 and ends at abottom stop member 217 which is created similarly to thetop stop member 215, but is slightly further away from the plane of thecentral web 210. In the suspended state, thesupport element 20 consequently has a slight upward trend toward thefirst end 201 in relation to the horizontal in order to avoid the negatively acting optical impression of sagging, in particular under load. A sphericallyarched retaining contour 219, which is generated in an advantageous manner by pressing out the inside surface of theflank 211, is provided in each case centrally on bothflanks 211. The first variantprimary carriers 2 with retainingcontours 219 on the plug-inpart 21 are used when only oneprimary carrier 2 is inserted into acell 10 from thefront side 18 or the rear side 19 (seeFIGS. 5A to 5D ). - Where the plug-in
part 21 is designed according toFIG. 2E , there is no retainingcontour 219. Saidprimary carriers 2 are used when aprimary carrier 2, theflanks 211 of which interlock in an offset manner (seeFIGS. 6A and 6B ), is inserted into acell 10 in each case from thefront side 18 and therear side 19. - Said sequence of figures includes a first variant primary carrier, extensively similar to
FIGS. 2A to 2E , but the development of the plug-inpart 21 is modified. Thetop recess 213 extends down deeper into theflanks 211 and the bottom edge extends descending inclinedly from thehook contour 214 toward thetop stop member 215. Abottom recess 217″, which is defined by the downwardly projectingfront edge 212, additionally adjoins thebottom stop member 217. In the suspended state, the more deeply indentedtop recess 213 and in particular thebottom recess 217″ bring about improved locking against unintended removal from the grid-type field 1 (seeFIGS. 7A to 7D ). - A second variant
primary carrier 2′ with a complex structure is assembled from at least two plug-inparts 21′ each with only oneflank 211′, one strip-shapedcross connector 23′ andseveral support elements 20′ branching therefrom. The plug-inparts 21′ are attached, for example welded, at right angles to a side surface of thecross connector 23′ without a connectingextension 22′. The spacing between the plug-inparts 21′ complements the dimensions of the grid-type field 1. Thesupport elements 20′, for example in the form of straight rod sections with a round cross section, are fastened to the opposite side surface of thecross connector 23′. - In the modification to the previous pair of figures, the plug-in
parts 21′ of the said second variantprimary carrier 2′ with the complex structure are attached at rights angles to a side surface of thecross connector 23′ by way of a connectingextension piece 22′. Thefirst end 221′ of theextension piece 22′ is fastened to thecross connector 23′, whilst thesecond end 222′ of theextension piece 22′ merges integrally into the plug-inpart 21′.Several support elements 20′ extend from the opposite side surface of thecross connector 23′. As contours, theflank 211′ once again has afront edge 212′, arecess 213′ located on the top edge with thehook contour 214′ and thetop stop member 215′. Thefront edge 212′ merges into thebottom edge 216′ which extends as far as up to thebottom stop member 217′. As an alternative to this, the plug-inpart 21′ —similarly to the modified development according to FIGS. 3A to 3C—can be provided with abottom recess 217″ adjoining thebottom stop member 217′ in place of the beveled or rounded-offbottom edge 216′. - Where a
cell 10 is fitted with a first variantprimary carrier 2, for example, from thefront side 18—or from therear side 19—, theprimary carrier 2 with the retainingcontours 219 according toFIGS. 2A to 2D is preferred. At the start of the suspending operation, the plug-inpart 21 is moved into thecell 10 when thesupport element 20 is raised in an inclined manner. In this case, the most practical thing to do is to attach thestop members 215 to the front edge of thehorizontal web 11 defining therelevant cell 10 at the top. The beveledbottom edges 216 make an inclined insertion possible. In this respect, thehook contours 214 already pass in part behind thehorizontal web 11, which covers theoccupied cell 10 at the top. However, thehorizontal web 11 is not yet engaged behind by thehook contours 214. - When the
support element 20 is gradually lowered, thecentral web 210 comes to lie in the horizontal plane, hook contours 214 engage behind it and project beyond thehorizontal web 11 and thebottom stop members 217 are positioned on the bottomhorizontal web 11, which defines theoccupied cell 10 at the bottom. At points, the two outwardlycurved retaining contours 219 fill out the gap remaining between the twoflanks 211 and thevertical web 12 adjoining in each case such that the plug-inpart 21 centers and plugs in thecell 10 where possible without lateral play. When thebottom stop members 217 completely cover the thickness of the bottomhorizontal web 11, thetop stop members 215 should not project into the thickness of the tophorizontal web 11 in order to leave space for aprimary carrier 2 to be inserted into thecell 10 located above. If thebottom stop members 217 cover the thickness of the bottomhorizontal web 11 only in part, thetop stop members 215 can correspondingly project in part into the thickness of the tophorizontal web 11. The removal of a plug-inpart 21 from acell 10 occurs in reverse, starting with the inclined raising of thesupport element 20. - When occupying a
cell 10 with aprimary carrier 2 in each case from thefront side 18 and therear side 19, those without retainingcontour 219 according toFIG. 2E are used. The suspending operation is identical to the previous sequence of figures. In the suspended state, in each case oneflank 211 from each plug-inpart 21 comes to rest on the adjacentvertical web 12, and the respectiveother flank 211 comes to rest on the inner surface of the first-mentionedflank 211 and in this case projects into thespace 218 of the relevant opposite plug-inpart 21. By the fourflanks 211 of the twoprimary carriers 2 interlocking offset in a fork-shaped manner, their plug-inparts 21 sit in a common occupiedcell 10 quasi with no lateral play. The pair ofhook contours 214 which are associated with theprimary carrier 2 inserted from thefront side 18 engage behind thehorizontal web 11 defining thecell 10 at the top on therear side 19. In reverse, the pair ofhook contours 214 which are associated with theprimary carrier 2 inserted from therear side 19 engage behind the identicalhorizontal web 11 on thefront side 18. The inner surface of the respectivecentral web 210 is at a spacing in front of the front orrear side type field 1 such that in eachcase space 218 remains for thehook contours 214 of theflanks 211 positioned on the inside. - The grid-
type field 1 shown in its entirety inFIG. 7A with itsfront side 18 and therear side 19 assumes a rectangular surface and is bordered by aframe 91. It otherwise consists, once again, ofcells 10 which are arranged in horizontal lines and vertical rows and are bordered in each case by twohorizontal webs 11 and twovertical webs 12. The respectivehorizontal webs 11 andvertical webs 12 are formed by the surroundingframe 91 for thecells 10 on the outer edges. - The modified first variant bottom primary carrier 2 (see
FIGS. 3A to 3C ) is situated initially in the partially suspended state (seeFIGS. 7A to 7C ). The plug-inpart 21 hangs in an inclined manner in the selectedcell 10, the inclinedfront edge 212 rests in the bottom region in thecell 10 whilst the protrudinghook contour 214 on therear side 19 engages behind the tophorizontal web 11 which momentarily rests deep in thetop recess 213. Thecentral web 210 is inclined in front of the selectedcell 10 such that thetop stop member 215 dips into thecell 10 which is located above the selectedcell 10. The bar-shapedsupport element 20 which branches off from thecentral web 210 points upward extending into the room by way of itsfirst end 201. - By being pivoted out of the state previously suspended in part in the horizontal and lowered, the top
primary carrier 2 is moved into the correct completely suspended state. In this respect, thefront edge 212 is located in its entirety on therear side 19, thehook contour 214 engages behind the tophorizontal web 11 and the bottom end of thefront edge 212 engages behind the bottomhorizontal web 11 on which thebottom recess 217″ rests. At the same time, thebottom stop member 217 is pushed from thefront side 18 against the bottomhorizontal web 11. The tophorizontal web 11, against which thetop stop member 215 is pushed, rests in thetop recess 213. Theprimary carrier 2 suspended in thecell 10 is consequently locked against knocks directed upward and downward. In order to remove theprimary carrier 2, it first of all has to be raised so that the bottomhorizontal web 11 is disengaged from thebottom recess 217″. The pivoting movement then follows, increasingly setting theprimary carrier 2 upright in order to twist the plug-inpart 21 quasi out of thecell 10. - A principal possibility for use of the hanging apparatus is the arrangement of the grid-
type field 1 in a supportingstructure 9 with aplatform 90 placed on the subsurface and aframe 91 extending around the grid-type field 1. This rack construction is particularly suited for positioning in the centre of a room with loading and access from the front andrear side primary carriers 2 according toFIGS. 2A to 2E and the modification according toFIGS. 3A to 3C as well as the second variantprimary carriers 2′ according toFIGS. 4A to 4D are available for loading thecells 10. In this case, theprimary carriers 2′ can be dimensioned such that their length corresponds to the width of the grid-type field 1. One advantageous loading combination would be to suspend oneprimary carrier 2′ according toFIG. 4A withoutextension pieces 22′ on the plug-inparts 21′ into a top row ofcells 10 and below this to suspend aprimary carrier 2′ according toFIG. 4C withextension pieces 22′ on the plug-inparts 21′ into a row ofcells 10 further down. Thesupport elements 20′ of the bottomprimary carrier 2′ consequently produce a plane of suspension which is set further forward into the room in relation to thesupport elements 20′ of the topprimary carrier 2′. As an alternative to this, thesupport elements primary carriers cells 10 and/orindividual rows 10 is determined according to the type, size and quantity of the articles to be displayed on the hanging apparatus. - One individual first variant
primary carrier 2, preferably however at least two suchprimary carriers 2 suspended next to each other, and a second variantprimary carrier 2′ can be utilized apart from the direct addition of articles to be displayed also for supporting a repository—e.g. in the form of a shelf, a grating or a receptacle. Such a repository is provided as a secondary carrier and serves for displaying articles in a horizontal manner. - For ceiling and/or wall mounting, the grid-
type field 1 can be provided on therear side 19 facing away from the room with aframework 92 which is developed as a means for suspension from a ceiling and/or as a means for separation from a rear wall. In the case of a larger grid-type field 1, aframework 92 is attached in the bottom region and afurther framework 92 in the top region. As a result of the restricted accessibility from therear side 19, in this case loading with theprimary carriers front side 18. -
Holders 3 are available to fasten a grid-type field 1 to arear wall 99. The preferably one-piece holder 3 consists of a retainingpart 30 which is bent tightly in a U-shaped manner with arecess 31 extending from the bend and twowings 35 which are spread apart from each other and attach to the ends of the retainingpart 30 and form a contact flange. Agap 32 which extends as far as up to the bend opens out between thewings 35. Ahole 36, preferably for screw connection to therear wall 99, is provided in eachwing 35. There is a tongue-shaped, inwardly bent lockingelement 33 in the vicinity of the transitions from the retainingpart 30 to therespective wing 35. - In the mounted state, the
holder 3 is plugged from thefront side 18 onto avertical web 12 such that it rests in thegap 32 and thewings 35 fastened to therear wall 99 come to rest at a spacing from therear side 19. The spacing between therear side 19 of the grid-type field 1 and therear wall 99 forms the clearance for the engaging-behindhook contours primary carriers rear side 19, the lockingelements 33 are braced against thevertical web 12 encompassed by theholder 3 and consequently act as counter hooks against the grid-type field 1 being pushed forward in the direction of therear wall 99. Therecess 31 on theholder 3 makes it possible to bring the retainingcontour 219 forward to the inner surface of thevertical web 12 provided with theholder 3 when suspending aprimary carrier 2 into theadjacent cell 10.
