Abstract

A content rendering cosmetic container has an electronic display coupled to a shell of the cosmetic container for rendering content associated with cosmetics. The cosmetic container includes one or more selectable buttons coupled to the shell of the cosmetic container for selecting content associated with cosmetics to be rendered on the electronic display. Each of the one or more selectable buttons may be linked to a specific location for housing a cosmetic product in the cosmetic container, and/or each cosmetic product may be associated with at least one content to be rendered on the electronic display.

Description

BACKGROUND

Containers exist that are portable, convenient to use, and designed to house cosmetic products for use. These types of portable containers usually consist of pouches, bags, purses, cases, and compacts that provide an effective container for housing the cosmetic products. The cosmetic containers may be designed to contain cosmetic implements (e.g., applicators) and/or cosmetic substances (e.g., creams, lotions, powders, perfumes, lipsticks, polish, or the like). Moreover, the cosmetic containers are designed to contain a variety of applicators and/or cosmetic substances. These cosmetic containers may be utilized by a variety of users (e.g., professional cosmetologists, private users) having a wide range of skills in the art of cosmetology. Such cosmetic containers are used in the cosmetics and personal care industries for containing cosmetic implements to be used to apply cosmetic substances to a body, where, as described above, the users have different skills in using the cosmetic implements and/or cosmetic substances housed by the cosmetic containers. While existing cosmetic containers may provide an effective container for housing cosmetic products, they do little more than hold the cosmetic products.

SUMMARY

This summary is provided to introduce simplified concepts of content rendering cosmetic containers for displaying content associated with cosmetics to users. The containers are further described below in the Detailed Description. This summary is not intended to identify essential features of the claimed subject matter, nor is it intended for use in determining the scope of the claimed subject matter.
In one implementation, the cosmetic container comprises an electronic display for rendering content associated with cosmetic products, such as makeup, applicators, brushes, creams, lotions, and the like. The electronic display may be linked to one or more selectable buttons for selecting content associated with cosmetics to be rendered on the electronic display. For example, the electronic display may be used to display ads or other promotions for sale of a cosmetic product, instructional videos showing how to use or apply a cosmetic product, videos of the cosmetic product in use, and/or other content.
In some implementations, each of the one or more selectable buttons may be linked to a cosmetic product of a variety of cosmetic products housed by the cosmetic container. Each of the cosmetic products may be associated with at least one content associated with cosmetics. When a selectable button is selected for the product linked to that button, the electronic display renders the content associated with cosmetic product linked to that button.
In some implementations, the cosmetic container comprises a soft shell. The soft shell may comprise a fabric, a plastic or any other suitable material having deformable characteristics. The soft shell may be foldable, rollable, or otherwise deformable and may have any suitable opening and/or closing mechanism (e.g., zipper, snap, draw string, latch, magnet, clasp, etc.).
In some implementations, the cosmetic container comprises a rigid shell. The rigid shell may comprise a fabric, a plastic, a metal, a composite or any other suitable material having generally rigid or nondeformable characteristics. The rigid shell may comprise a lid and a base. In one example, the lid may be connected to the base by a hinge, and may be held in a closed position by a snap, latch, or other closing mechanism.
Depending on the desired function of the cosmetic container, the electronic display may comprise a touchscreen having interactive menus for navigating the content associated with cosmetics. Further, the cosmetic container may comprise memory for storing content and/or at least one speaker linked to the electronic display for producing audio sound when the electronic display renders content associated with cosmetics.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

Overview

This disclosure is directed to content rendering cosmetic containers for rendering content associated with cosmetics. The content rendering containers may render content comprising an application demonstration, a promotional video, an educational tutorial, a video clip of a fashion show, a cosmetic seasonal collection, or the like. The cosmetic containers may comprise an electronic display coupled to the cosmetic container, which renders the content associated with cosmetics. The cosmetic containers may comprise one or more selectable buttons coupled to the cosmetic container for selecting content associated with cosmetics to be rendered on the electronic display. In some embodiments, the selectable buttons may be linked to a cosmetic product housed in the cosmetic container. For example, a selectable button may correlate to a specific location in the cosmetic container and the specific location may be configured to hold a specific cosmetic product. Further, a selectable button may be associated with an RFID reader which correlates to a specific location in the cosmetic container.
The cosmetic containers may comprise a speaker coupled to the cosmetic container for producing audio when the electronic display renders content associated with cosmetics.
The content rendering cosmetic containers may comprise a soft shell for housing cosmetic products. For example the cosmetic containers may take the form of a bag, a purse, a clutch, a pouch, or the like. The cosmetic containers may be formed of a textile, a plastic, a composite, or the like, which is generally deformable. The electronic display and the selectable buttons may be coupled to an inside portion of the soft shell. For example the electronic display and buttons may be coupled to a flap of the soft shell of the cosmetic containers.
Alternatively, the content rendering cosmetic containers may comprise a rigid shell for housing cosmetic products. For example the cosmetic containers may take the form of a compact, a case, a train case, a chest, or the like. The cosmetic containers may be formed of a plastic, a metal, a composite, a glass, or the like, which is generally rigid or nondeformable. The electronic display and the selectable buttons may be coupled to the rigid shell. For example the electronic display and buttons may be coupled to a lid and/or a base that form the rigid shell of the cosmetic containers. The display may be located on an inside or outside surface of the container.

Illustrative Content Rendering Cosmetic Containers

FIG. 1 illustrates an example of a content rendering cosmetic container having a foldable soft shell in a use position. The cosmetic container 102 illustrated in FIG. 1 comprises a soft shell 104 for housing cosmetic products. The soft shell 104 has an inside portion 106 and an outside portion 108. The soft shell 104 may be formed of a textile (e.g., an animal textile, a plant textile, a mineral textile, a synthetic textile, or the like) and may comprise flaps 110(A) and 110(B). Flaps 110(A) and 110(B) may be folded open and/or closed via folds 112(A) and 112(B). By way of example, and not limitating, such textiles may include natural fibers (e.g., cotton) synthetic fibers (e.g., nylon, polyester, GORE-TEX®, etc.), leather, metal mesh, or combinations of any of these. Flap 110(A) is illustrated as having been folded open such that the inside portion 106 is exposed and visible defining an open position. Flap 110(A) comprises an electronic display 114 coupled to the inside portion 106 of the soft shell 104 such that the electronic display 114 is visible when the soft shell 104 is in the use position. The electronic display 114 may be coupled to the inside portion 106 of a cosmetic container via stitching, a pouch, a zipper, an adhesive, a fastener, a snap-fit, a press-fit, or any other suitable mechanism for fixing the electronic display 114 to an inside portion of a cosmetic container.
The electronic display 114 may be any suitable electronic display 114 for rendering content to a user. For example, the electronic display 114 may be a thin-film transistor (TFT) liquid crystal display (LCD), a light emitting diode display (LED), an organic LED (OELD), an electrophoretic display, a touchscreen display, or the like. The electronic display 114 may be coupled with memory and one or more processors. In one example, the memory may comprise flash memory or other solid state memory of sufficient size to hold video content. In one example, the memory comprises at least about 250 MB, sufficient to hold about 22 minutes of video content. However, in other embodiments, the memory may comprise significantly larger storage capacity. The electronic display 114 may be any size suitable for being coupled to a cosmetic container and rendering content associated with cosmetics. For example, the electronic display 114 may comprise a screen size 116 of 2-12 inches. In some embodiments the screen size 116 may be in the range of 2-4 inches to fit in a smaller container.
The electronic display 114 may be linked to one or more selectable buttons 118(1), 118(2), 118(3), 118(4), . . . , 118(N) (collectively 118) coupled to the inside portion 106 of the flap 110(A) of the soft shell 104. The one or more selectable buttons 118(1), 118(2), 118(3), 118(4), . . . , 118(N) may be arranged along a length 120 of the flap 110(A). While FIG. 1 illustrates the one or more selectable buttons 118(1)-118(N) arranged along a length 120 of flap 110(A), the one or more selectable buttons 118(1)-118(N) may be arranged in any configuration. For example, the one or more selectable buttons 118(1)-118(N) may be coupled to any inside portion 106 or outside portion 108 of the soft shell 104. Further, the electronic display 114 may be coupled to any inside portion 106 or outside portion 108 of the soft shell 104. In one specific embodiment, the electronic display 114 may be coupled to the inside portion 106 the flap 110(A) and adjacent to the one or more selectable buttons 118(1)-118(N).
The electronic display 114 may also linked to an on/off switch 122 for switching the electronic display 114 on and/or off. While FIG. 1 illustrates a switch 122 for switching the electronic display 114 on and/or off, other switching mechanisms are contemplated. For example, the cosmetic container 102 may comprise an electronic switch coupled in the cosmetic container 102 such that when the cosmetic container 102 is opened the electronic display 114 is turned on. For example, the cosmetic container 102 may comprise an electronic switch integrated with the flap 110(A) such that when the flap 110(A) is folded into the open and/or closed position, the electronic display 114 may be turned on and/or off, respectively. Still further, the electronic display 114 may comprise a touchscreen configured to turn on and/or off when touched by a user. The touchscreen may have interface menus for navigating the content associated with cosmetics and selecting at least one content associated with cosmetics to be rendered on the electronic display 114. The touchscreen may be integrated with the electronic display 114 forming the electronic display 114.
FIG. 1 illustrates the cosmetic container 102 having a universal serial bus (USB) port 124. USB port 124 may be for charging a rechargeable battery coupled in the cosmetic container 102. For example, the USB port 124 may be for charging a rechargeable lithium ion battery coupled in the cosmetic container 102. Further, the USB port 124 may also provide for downloading new content associated with cosmetics for storage in memory. For example, the USB port 124 may provide for downloading one of, or any combination of, an application demonstration, a promotional video, an educational tutorial, a video clip of a fashion show, a cosmetic seasonal collection, or the like.
The cosmetic container 102 is illustrated as comprising a speaker 126. Speaker 126 may be coupled to the inside portion 106 of the soft shell 104 and linked to the electronic display 114. The speaker 126 is to produce audio sound when the electronic display 114 is turned on. Specifically, the speaker 126 may produce audio when the electronic display 114 renders content associated with cosmetics.
FIG. 2 illustrates the cosmetic container 102 of FIG. 1 in a fully opened position. More specifically, FIG. 2 illustrates flaps 110(A) and 110(B) folded open via folds 112(A) and 112(B). As discussed above, flap 110(A) is illustrated as having been folded open such that the inside portion 106 is exposed and visible defining an open position. Similarly, flap 110(B) is illustrated as having been folded open such that the inside portion 106 of the cosmetic container 102 is exposed and visible defining an open position.
Here, the cosmetic container 102 is illustrated as housing cosmetic products 202(1), 202(2), . . . , 202(N). Specifically, flap 110(B) comprises cosmetic products 202(1), 202(2), . . . , 202(N) coupled to the inside portion 106 of the soft shell 104 such that the cosmetic products 202(1), 202(2), . . . , 202(N) are exposed and provides access to the cosmetic products 202(1), 202(2), ..., 202(N) housed by the soft shell 104. While FIG. 2 illustrates the cosmetic products 202(1)-202(N) as comprising a variety of applicators (e.g., cosmetic brushes), cosmetic products 202(1)-202(N) may comprise any other cosmetic implements (e.g., applicators) and/or cosmetic substances (e.g., creams, lotions, powders, perfumes, lipsticks, polish, or the like).
As discussed above, and as illustrated, cosmetic container 102 may comprise one or more selectable buttons 118(1)-118(N). In some embodiments, each of the one or more selectable buttons 118(1)-118(N) may be linked to a cosmetic product of the cosmetic products 202(1)-202(N) housed by the soft shell 104. Further, each cosmetic product 202(1)-202(N) may be associated with at least one content associated with cosmetics. For example, selectable buttons 118(1)-118(N) may be linked to cosmetic products 202(1)-202(N) and each of the cosmetic products 202(1)-202(N) may be associated with at least one content associated with cosmetics to be rendered on the electronic display. For example, cosmetic product 202(1) may be associated an application demonstration, a promotional video, an educational tutorial, a video clip of a fashion show, a cosmetic seasonal collection, or the like. As such, when selectable button 118(1) is selected by a user, the electronic display 114 may render content associated with cosmetic product 202(1). For example, when selectable button 118(1) is selected by a user, the electronic display 114 may render an application demonstration using cosmetic product 202(1), a promotional video for cosmetic product 202(1), an educational tutorial of how to use cosmetic product 202(1), a video clip of a fashion show featuring a maker of cosmetic product 202(1), a cosmetic seasonal collection including cosmetic product 202(1), or the like.
FIG. 3 illustrates an example of a content rendering cosmetic container 302 comprising a rollable soft shell 304 in a use position. The cosmetic container 302 illustrated in FIG. 3 may comprise many of the same components as cosmetic container 102. For example, cosmetic container 302 may comprise the electronic display 114, the one or more selectable buttons 118(1)-118(N), the on/off switch 122, the USB port 124, and the speaker 126. Similar to the cosmetic container 102 of FIG. 1, cosmetic container 302 comprises a soft shell 304 for housing cosmetic products 202(1), 202(2), . . . , 202(N) having an inside portion 106 and an outside portion 108. FIG. 3 illustrates the electronic display 114 and the one or more selectable buttons 118(1)-118(N) may be arranged along a length 306 of flap 308(A). While FIG. 3 illustrates the electronic display 114 and the one or more selectable buttons 118(1)-118(N) arranged along a length 306 of flap 308(A), the electronic display 114 and the one or more selectable buttons 118(1)-118(N) may be arranged in any configuration. For example, the electronic display 114 and buttons 118 may be coupled to any inside portion 106 or outside portion 108 of the soft shell 304.
FIG. 4 illustrates an example of the content rendering cosmetic container 302 comprising the rollable soft shell 304 in a fully open position. As illustrated, the rollable soft shell 304 may house cosmetic products 202(1), 202(2), 202(3), 202(4), 202(5), . . . , 202(N). As discussed above, each of the one or more selectable buttons 118(1)-118(N) may be linked to a cosmetic product of the cosmetic products 202(1)-202(N) housed by the soft shell 304. For example, in this embodiment, the selectable button 118(1) may be linked to cosmetic products 202(1) and 202(5). Specifically, because cosmetic products 202(1) and 202(5) may be respective applicators for applying similar cosmetic substances (e.g., creams, lotions, powders, perfumes, lipsticks, polish, or the like), cosmetic products 202(1) and 202(5) may be associated with the same content associated with cosmetics to be rendered on the display. For example, cosmetic product 202(1) and 202(5) may be associated with at least one of an application demonstration, a promotional video, an educational tutorial, a video clip of a fashion show, a cosmetic seasonal collection, or the like. As such, when the selectable button 118(1) is selected by a user, the electronic display 114 may render the at least one content associated with one or both of the cosmetic products 202(1) and 202(5).
FIG. 5 illustrates an example of a content rendering cosmetic container 502 comprising a rigid shell 504 in a use position. Again, as illustrated, cosmetic container 502 may comprise many of the same components as the foldable cosmetic container 102 and the rollable cosmetic container 302. For example, cosmetic container 502 may comprise the electronic display 114, the one or more selectable buttons 118(1)-118(N), the on/off switch 122, the USB port 124, and the speaker 126. FIG. 5 illustrates the rigid shell 504 of the cosmetic container 502 comprising the inside portion 106 opposite the outside portion 108. The rigid shell 504 may comprise a lid 506(A) and a base 506(B). Lid 506(A) and base 506(B) are illustrated as being connected via a hinge 508. While FIG. 5 illustrates a cosmetic container 502 comprising a lid 506(A) and a base 506(B) capable of opening and/or closing via a hinge, the cosmetic container 502 may open and/or close via any other suitable opening and/or closing mechanism. For example, the cosmetic container 502 may open and/or close via press-fit, snap-fit, interference fit, threads, fastener, or the like suitable for opening and/or closing a rigid shell 504 comprising an inside portion 106 opposite an outside portion 108. Further, while FIG. 5 illustrates a “compact” cosmetic container comprising a rigid shell 504, the cosmetic container 502 may be a “case,” a “train case,” a “rolling train case,” a “luggage train case,” a chest, or any other cosmetic container having a generally rigid or nondeformable shell suitable for housing cosmetic products. The rigid shell 504 may be formed of a plastic, a metal, a glass, a composite, or any suitable material that is suitable for housing and protecting the cosmetic products 202(1)-202(N), and provides the structural strength necessary for mechanical connections (e.g., press-fit, snap-fit, interference fit, threads, fastener, or hinge).
As discussed above, each of the one or more selectable buttons 118(1)-118(N) may be linked to a cosmetic product of the cosmetic products 202(1)-202(N) housed by the rigid shell 504. FIG. 5 illustrates the selectable buttons 118(3), 118(4), 118(5), 118(6), 118(7), 118(8), 118(9), and 118(N) may be linked to cosmetic products 202(1), 202(2), 202(3), 202(4), 202(5), 202(6), 202(7), and 202(N), respectively. FIG. 5 illustrates the selectable buttons 118(1)-118(N) are arranged with cosmetic products 202(1)-202(N), respectively. More specifically, each selectable button 118(3)-118(N) may be arranged with a position of each of the cosmetic products 202(1)-202(N). For example, and as illustrated, each of the selectable buttons 118(3), 118(4), 118(5), 118(6), 118(7), 118(8), 118(9), and 118(N) may be arranged with a respective position for each of the cosmetic products 202(1), 202(2), 202(3), 202(4), 202(5), 202(6), 202(7), and 202(N).
As discussed above, cosmetic products 202(1)-202(N) may comprise cosmetic implements (e.g., applicators) and/or cosmetic substances (e.g., creams, lotions, powders, perfumes, lipsticks, polish, or the like). FIG. 5 illustrates cosmetic products 202(1)-202(3) may be cosmetic substances (e.g., creams, lotions, powders, perfumes, lipsticks, polish, or the like), while cosmetic products 202(4)-202(N) may be cosmetic implements (e.g., applicators). As such, selectable buttons 118(3)-118(5) are linked with cosmetic substances (e.g., creams, lotions, powders, perfumes, lipsticks, polish, or the like), while selectable buttons 118(6)-118(N) are linked with cosmetic implements (e.g., applicators). Selectable buttons 118(1) and 118(2) may be for navigating interactive menus rendered on the electronic display 114.
Additionally or alternatively, in some embodiments each of the cosmetic products may be identified by a respective radio-frequency identification (RFID), and the cosmetic container may be configured to identify each of the cosmetic products housed in the cosmetic container. For example, a cosmetic container may comprise an RFID reader (e.g., an RFID interrogator) arranged in the cosmetic container to read the RFID tag (e.g., an RFID label) of a cosmetic product housed by the cosmetic container. For example, an RFID reader may be arranged in the cosmetic container 502 and each of the cosmetic products 202(1)-202(N) may comprise an RFID tag readable by the RFID reader arranged in the cosmetic container 502. As discussed above, with the selectable buttons 118(3)-118(N) linked to the cosmetic products 202(1)-202(N), respectively, along with an RFID reader linked to the electronic display 114, the cosmetic container 502 may render content associated with cosmetics on the electronic display 114 when one of the selectable buttons 118(3)-118(N) is selected. For example, a user may purchase one or more cosmetic products 202(1)-202(N) from a retailer and subsequently house the one or more purchased cosmetic products 202(1)-202(N) in the cosmetic container 502. The RFID reader may then automatically identify each of the one or more cosmetic products by RFID tags coupled to the cosmetic products 202(1)-202(N). The identified cosmetic products 202(1)-202(N) may then be indexed and stored in memory and linked with a respective selectable button of the selectable buttons 118(3)-118(N) arranged with the cosmetic products 202(1)-202(N). For example, a user may have purchased cosmetic product 202(1) and disposed the cosmetic product 202(1) adjacent to selectable button 118(3). The RFID reader may then identify the cosmetic product 202(1) as a cosmetic substance (e.g., a cosmetic powder) via an RFID tag of the cosmetic product 202(1). The identified cosmetic product 202(1) may then be indexed. The index may associate the cosmetic product 202(1) with at least one content associated with cosmetics to be rendered on the electronic display, and link the cosmetic product 202(1) with the selectable button 118(3) adjacent to the respective position for the cosmetic product 202(1). The cosmetic container 502 may also automatically obtain the content for the identified product when the USB 124 is plugged into a computer. Further, the electronic display 114 may display the contents of the index as a contents list. For example, a user may select a selectable button (e.g., selectable button 118(1) and or 118(2)) to display a list of the cosmetic products 202(1)-202(N) presently housed in the cosmetic container 502.
FIG. 6 illustrates the content rendering cosmetic container of FIG. 1 comprising a display module 602, an RFID module 604, and an index module 606 stored in memory 608 and executable by processor(s) 610. While FIG. 6 illustrates the cosmetic container 102 of FIG. 1, the cosmetic container may be the cosmetic container 302 of FIG. 3, the cosmetic container 502 of FIG. 5, or any other content rendering cosmetic container.
The display module 602 may provide for the electronic display 114 to render content associated with cosmetics. The display module 602 may also provide for a touchscreen 612 to navigating the content associated with cosmetics and to select at least one content associated with cosmetics to be rendered on the electronic display 114.
The RFID module 604 may provide for an RFID reader arranged in the cosmetic container to read and identify RFID tags of cosmetic products (e.g., cosmetic products 202(1)-202(N)) housed by the cosmetic container. The index module 606 may provide for indexing identified cosmetic products and linking the cosmetic products with a respective selectable button of selectable buttons 118(A)-118(N) (e.g., selectable buttons 118(A)-118(N)).

Conclusion

Although the invention has been described in language specific to structural features and/or methodological acts, it is to be understood that the invention is not necessarily limited to the specific features or acts described. Rather, the specific features and acts are disclosed as illustrative forms of implementing the invention. For example, while embodiments are described having certain shapes, sizes, and configurations, these shapes, sizes, and configurations are merely illustrative.

Claims

1. A cosmetic container comprising:

a soft shell for housing cosmetic products having an inside portion opposite an outside portion, wherein in a use position the inside portion is exposed and provides access to the cosmetic products housed by the soft shell; and

an electronic display for rendering content associated with cosmetics, the electronic display coupled to the inside portion of the soft shell such that the electronic display is visible when the soft shell is in the use position.

2. The cosmetic container of claim 1, further comprising one or more selectable buttons coupled to the inside portion of the soft shell and linked to the electronic display, the one or more selectable buttons for selecting content associated with cosmetics to be rendered on the electronic display.

3. The cosmetic container of claim 2, wherein the soft shell is foldable.

4. The cosmetic container of claim 3, wherein the one or more selectable buttons are coupled to an inside portion of a flap of the foldable soft shell.

5. The cosmetic container of claim 4, wherein the one or more selectable buttons coupled to the inside portion of the flap of the foldable soft shell are arranged along a length of the flap.

6. The cosmetic container of claim 4, wherein the electronic display is coupled to the inside portion of the flap of the foldable soft shell adjacent to the one or more selectable buttons.

7. The cosmetic container of claim 1, further comprising a speaker coupled to the inside portion of the soft shell and linked to the electronic display for producing audio when the electronic display renders content associated with cosmetics.

8. The cosmetic container of claim 1, wherein the electronic display comprises a touchscreen having interactive menus for navigating the content associated with cosmetics and selecting content associated with cosmetics to be rendered on the electronic display.

9. The cosmetic container of claim 1, wherein the soft shell is rollable.

a case for housing cosmetic products having an inside portion opposite an outside portion, wherein in a use position the inside portion is exposed and provides access to the cosmetic products housed by the case; and

an electronic display for rendering content associated with cosmetics, the electronic display coupled to the inside portion of the case such that the electronic display is visible when the case is in the use position.

11. The cosmetic container of claim 10, further comprising one or more selectable buttons coupled to the inside portion of the case and linked to the electronic display, the one or more selectable buttons for selecting content associated with cosmetics to be rendered on the electronic display.

12. The cosmetic container of claim 10, further comprising a speaker coupled to the inside portion of the case and linked to the electronic display for producing audio when the electronic display renders content associated with cosmetics.

13. A cosmetic container comprising:

a shell for housing cosmetic products having an inside portion opposite an outside portion, wherein in a use position the inside portion is exposed and provides access to the cosmetic products housed by the shell; and

an electronic display coupled to the shell for rendering content associated with cosmetics.

14. The cosmetic container of claim 13, further comprising:

one or more selectable buttons coupled to the shell and linked to the electronic display, the one or more selectable buttons for selecting content associated with cosmetics to be rendered on the electronic display.

15. The cosmetic container of claim 13, further comprising memory for storing content.

16. The cosmetic container of claim 15, further comprising multiple cosmetic products, and content stored in the memory corresponding to each of the multiple cosmetic products.

17. The cosmetic container of claim 13, wherein the content associated with cosmetics to be rendered on the electronic display comprises an application demonstration for the multiple cosmetic products, a promotional video for the multiple cosmetic products, an educational tutorial for the multiple cosmetic products, a video clip of a fashion show for the multiple cosmetic products, or a cosmetic seasonal collection for the multiple cosmetic products.

18. The cosmetic container of claim 13, wherein the shell is a soft shell formed of a textile configured to fold open into the use position.

19. The cosmetic container of claim 13, wherein the shell is a soft shell formed of a textile configured to roll open into the use position.

20. The cosmetic container of claim 13, wherein the shell is a rigid shell formed of a plastic configured to open into the use position.

21. The cosmetic container of claim 13, further comprising a speaker coupled to the shell and linked to the electronic display for producing audio when the electronic display renders content associated with cosmetic products.

22. The cosmetic container of claim 13, further comprising a radio-frequency identification (RFID) reader for reading RFID tags associated with cosmetics.

23. The cosmetic container of claim 13, wherein the one or more selectable buttons correlate to specific locations in the shell for housing cosmetic products.
