Description

    REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS
  • This patent application claims the benefit of U.S. Provisional Application No. 61/468,379 filed on Mar. 28, 2011, the disclosure of which is incorporated herein by reference in its entirety.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • 1. Field of the Invention
  • The present invention relates to a chewing gum cover with wrapper pocket, and more particularly to a container that can carry chewing gum and its wrapper, and wrapped spent gum until a proper disposal can be made.
  • 2. Description of Related Art
  • Many consumers carry gum with them throughout the day. Chewing gum on-the-go can be inconvenient, as users may have difficulty finding places to store or throw away their gum wrappers. The wrappers can often end up on car floors, the bottoms of purses, and stashed in pockets, causing obstructive clutter. Users may then have difficulty retrieving the wrappers, preventing them from storing chewed, flavorless pieces of gum until a garbage can is in sight. Without a nearby trash receptacle or a way to store the chewed gum, users may be forced to keep the gum in their mouths, which is highly unpleasant. An effective solution is necessary.
  • U.S. Pat. No. 8,006,860 discloses a portable gum container, comprising a body. The body has a chewing gum holder, a sheet material dispenser, and a waste receptacle. The chewing gum holder is for holding chewing gum. The sheet material dispenser is for dispensing sheet material sized and shaped for wrapping about a piece of spent chewing gum. The waste receptacle is sized and shaped to contain the wrapped spent piece of chewing gum.
  • U.S. Pat. No. 7,563,468 discloses a chewing gum package including at least one disposal sheet to wrap chewing gum cuds for proper disposal. The invention is addressed to the chewing gum where the gum piece is not packaged with an individual wrapper, thus the invention provides disposal sheet.
  • The present invention is addressed to the chewing gums that has individual wrapper. The present invention provides a means for keeping the wrapper in place and easy access when needed for disposing a spent chewed gum.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • Chewing Gum Cover with Wrapper Pocket provides consumers with a convenient place to store discarded gum wrappers and chewed gum. This innovative product features a decorative cover designed to encase a pack of gum. A pocket can be included on the front of the cover to hold discarded wrapping of each piece of gum that is used. Once a piece of chewed gum loses its appeal or necessity, the corresponding wrapper can be removed from the pocket, placed around the gum, and then returned to the pocket. Using this product may allow consumers to safely carry discarded gum and wrappers until they can be properly disposed.

  • DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • Chewing Gum Cover with Wrapper Pocket allows consumers to conveniently store used gum wrappers and gum until they can be properly disposed. Referring to FIG. 1-5, there is disclosed a variety of chewing gum covers with wrapper pockets according to the present invention. In general, the invention may comprise a cover 10 designed to encase a pack of gum 50 in its entirety. Users may slip a pack of gum 50 inside the cover. The cover can be made of any suitable fabric material, hard material, or stretchable material. It may have a foldable flap 20 containing a fastening means 40, designed to wrap over the top of the gum pack. On the front 12 of the cover can be a pocket 30 into which wrapper(s) containing chewed gum may be placed. The cover 10 can have cardboards for additional structure and a fastening means on the front 12 that matches with the fastening means 40 on the flap 20. Once the flap 20 is placed over the top of the gum pack, the fastening means 40 on the flap 20 and the front 12 may attract each other, keeping the flap 20 securely closed. The front flap 20 is connected to the top panel and will face towards the front panel 12 when in closed position. A pocket 30 is connected to the front panel 12 for receiving the wrapper after the chewing gum is peeled off and the wrapper with the spent chewed gum placed inside. A matching fastening means 40 are attached to the front panel 12 and the front flap 20 so that when they engage to each other, the wrapper and wrapped chewed gum can be secured in the pocket 30.
  • The fastening means 40 on the flap 20 and front panel 12 may be hook and loop fasteners, a button-lock, or a magnet lock, and combination thereof or any other means. The flap 20 may be a tuck flap which inserts into the slot on the front panel 12.
  • The chewing gum cover 10 is sized and shaped to be able to hold a pack of chewing gum. The pocket 30 is shaped and sized to hold wrappers and wrapped spent gum.
  • The gum cover with wrapper pocket can be made of fabric, leather, wool, paper, plastic and combination thereof.
