Abstract
A spray head assembly includes a push member, a piston rod, a spring, a seal member, a link, a movable member, a cylinder and a resilient valve. The link includes multiple axial slots defined in an outer surface thereof so that no surplus and rough material is left during manufacturing. The spiral valve effectively responses the operation of the spray assembly to seal or open the path in the cylinder.
Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates to a spray head assembly, and more particularly, to a spray head assembly suitable for lotion or perfume.
- 2. Description of the Prior Art
- A conventional
spray head assembly 100 is shown inFIG. 1 and generally includes ahead 101 with anozzle 101 a and amounting tube 102 is connected to thehead 101. Afirst suction tube 103 is connected between themounting tube 102 and a cone-shaped member 104 which has aninsertion 105 connected to the bottom thereof. There are twoholes 105 a defined in two sides of theinsertion 105 and theholes 105 a are hidden by the cone-shaped member 104. Aspring 106 is connected to theinsertion 105 and aball 107 is located on the other end of thespring 106. Areception tube 108 accommodates thefirst suction tube 103, the cone-shaped member 104, theinsertion 105, thespring 106 and theball 107 in sequence, and asecond suction tube 109 is connected to thereception tube 108. - When the user presses the
head 101, the air in the container releases from thenozzle 101 a and the lotion or perfume sucked into thereception tube 108 via thesecond suction tube 109. Thespring 106 pushes theball 107 of theinsertion 105 to seal the opening of thereception tube 108, and a gap is defined between theinsertion 105 and the cone-shaped member 104, such that the lotion of perform in thereception tube 108 flows into theinsertion 105 via the gap and theholes 105 a. The lotion or perform is then sucked by thefirst suction tube 103 and sprayed out from thenozzle 101 a. When thehead 101 is released, the lotion or perfume left in thereception tube 108 flows back to the container. - However, the two
holes 105 a defined in two sides of theinsertion 105 easily causes surplus and rough material around theholes 105 a and which require more labor time to remove it. Besides, theball 107 is made of metal which lacks flexibility so that it is not satisfied by using theball 107 to seal the opening of thereception tube 108 during operation. - The present invention intends to provide a spray head assembly which improves the shortcomings mentioned in the conventional spray head assembly.
- The present invention relates to a spray head assembly which comprises a push member having a nozzle and an outlet tube is connected with the push member. A piston rod is a hollow tube and includes an enlarged engaging head and a hollow tube extends from the engaging head. The engaging head contacts an inside of the push member. A spring is biased between the hollow tube of the piston rod and a seal member so as to provide a return force to the piston rod and a link. The seal member is located at a first end of a cylinder and has a passage through which the piston rod extends. The link includes a cylindrical portion which extends through the hollow tube and multiple axial slots are defined in an outer surface thereof. A stop is connected to an end of the cylindrical portion. A movable member has a through hole define axially therethrough and the link extends through the through hole. An open end of the movable member is removably sealed by the stop of the link by the return force from the spring. The cylinder is a tubular member with a first section and a second section which is smaller than the first end in diameter. The movable member and the link are received in a chamber defined in the first section. A path is formed within the second section. A resilient valve is a spiral valve and received in the second section of the cylinder. The resilient valve has a first end and a second end. An opening is defined in a first end and an insertion protrudes from the second end and seals the path. A hollow resilient portion is located between the first and second ends of the resilient valve so as to provide a force to move the insertion of the resilient valve to seal the path.
- The primary object of the present invention is to provide a spray head assembly which includes a link with multiple axial slots defined in the outer surface thereof and the axial slots replace the two holes in the insertion of the conventional spray head assembly to eliminate surplus and rough material when drilling the holes in the insertion.
- Another object of the present invention is to provide a spray head assembly which includes a spiral resilient valve to replace the ball of the conventional spray head assembly and the spiral resilient valve quickly responses to the operation of the spray head assembly.
- The present invention will become more obvious from the following description when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings which show, for purposes of illustration only, a preferred embodiment in accordance with the present invention.

FIG. 3 is a cross sectional view of the spray head assembly of the present invention; -
FIG. 4 is a cross sectional view to show that the push member of the spray head assembly of the present invention is pressed, and -
FIG. 5 is a cross sectional view to show that the push member of the spray head assembly of the present invention is released. - Referring to
FIGS. 2 and 3 , thespray head assembly 10 of the present invention comprises apush member 1 which has anozzle 11 so as to release lotion or perfume therefrom. Anoutlet tube 12 is connected within thepush member 1. Apiston rod 2 which is a hollow tube and includes an enlargedengaging head 21 and ahollow tube 22 extends from theengaging head 21, wherein theengaging head 21 contacts an inside of thepush member 1. Aspring 3 is biased between thehollow tube 22 of thepiston rod 2 and aseal member 4 so as to provide a return force to thepiston rod 2 and alink 5. Theseal member 4 is located at a first end of acylinder 7 and has apassage 41 through which thepiston rod 2 extends. Thelink 5 includes acylindrical portion 51 which extends through thehollow tube 22 and multipleaxial slots 52 are defined in an outer surface thereof. Astop 53 is connected to an end of thecylindrical portion 51. Amovable member 6 has athrough hole 61 define axially therethrough and thelink 5 extends through the throughhole 61. An open end of themovable member 6 is removably sealed by thestop 53 of thelink 5 by the return force from thespring 3. Thecylinder 7 is a tubular member with afirst section 71 and asecond section 72 which is smaller than the first end in diameter. Themovable member 6 and thelink 5 are received in achamber 711 defined in thefirst section 71. Apath 721 is formed within thesecond section 72 and aconnection port 722 is defined in an end of thesecond section 72. Asuction tube 30 is connected to theconnection port 722 and inserted into thecontainer 20. - A
resilient valve 8 is a spiral valve and received in thesecond section 72 of thecylinder 7. Theresilient valve 8 has afirst end 81 and asecond end 82, wherein anopening 84 is defined in afirst end 81 and aninsertion 821 protrudes from thesecond end 82 so as to seal thepath 721. A hollowresilient portion 83 is located between the first andsecond ends resilient valve 8 so as to provide a force to move theinsertion 821 of theresilient valve 8 to seal thepath 721. Afixing part 9 is mounted to a opening of thecontainer 20 and thespray assembly 10 is connected to thecontainer 20 by thefixing part 9. Thefixing part 9 includes a sealingmember 91 to seal the opening of thecontainer 20. - As shown in
FIG. 4 , when thepush member 1 is pressed downward, thepiston rod 2 and thelink 5 are lowered and the space in thesecond section 72 of thecylinder 7 is compressed. The liquid pressure moves theinsertion 821 to seal thepath 721 of thecylinder 7 so that thecylinder 7 is completely sealed. Thestop 53 of thelink 5 is separated from themovable member 6 so that theslots 52 in thelink 5 are removed from themovable member 6 to form a gap. The liquid in thecontainer 20 is then released from thenozzle 11 via thehollow tube 22 and theoutlet tube 12 by the high pressure. During the release of the liquid, theresilient valve 8 quickly responses and is lowered to seal thepath 721. - As shown in
FIG. 5 , when releasing thepush member 1, the return force of thespring 3 makes thepiston rod 2 and thelink 5 both move upward, and thestop 53 of thelink 5 seals themovable member 6. The pressure in thechamber 711 of thecylinder 7 is lower than that of outside so that the liquid pushes theinsertion 821 from thepath 721 and theopening 84 of theresilient valve 8 is sucked into thechamber 711 and ready for the next pressing action. - The
resilient valve 8 replaces the ball in the convention spray head assembly and has better resilient feature to quickly seal thepath 721 during operation. Theaxial slots 52 in thelink 5 avoid the labor and time required to clean up the surplus and rough material as the drilling of holes in the insertion of the conventional spray head assembly. - While we have shown and described the embodiment in accordance with the present invention, it should be clear to those skilled in the art that further embodiments may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.
Claims (4)
1. A spray head assembly comprising:
a push member having a nozzle and an outlet tube connected with the push member;
a piston rod being a hollow tube and including an enlarged engaging head and a hollow tube extending from the engaging head, the engaging head contacting an inside of the push member;
a spring being biased between the hollow tube of the piston rod and a seal member so as to provide a return force to the piston rod and a link;
the seal member located at a first end of a cylinder and having a passage through which the piston rod extends;
the link including a cylindrical portion which extends through the hollow tube and multiple axial slots defined in an outer surface thereof, a stop connected to an end of the cylindrical portion;
a movable member having a through hole define axially therethrough and the link extending through the through hole, an open end of the movable member removably sealed by the stop of the link by the return force from the spring;
the cylinder being a tubular member with a first section and a second section which is smaller than the first end in diameter, the movable member and the link received in a chamber defined in the first section, a path formed within the second section, and
a resilient valve being a spiral valve and received in the second section of the cylinder, the resilient valve having a first end and a second end, an opening defined in a first end and an insertion protruding from the second end and sealing the path, a hollow resilient portion located between the first and second ends of the resilient valve so as to provide a force to move the insertion of the resilient valve to seal the path.
2. The assembly as claimed in claim 1 , wherein a fixing part is mounted to a opening of a container and the spray assembly is connected to the container by the fixing part.
3. The assembly as claimed in claim 2 , wherein the fixing part includes a sealing member to seal the opening of the container.
4. The assembly as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the second section of the cylinder includes a connection port and a suction tube is connected to the connection port and inserted into the container.
