Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates to a hair ornament and, more particularly, to a hair ornament for mating with the shape of a head of a user while making a hairstyle.
- 2. Description of the Related Art
- A beautiful hairstyle provides a person with an aesthetically pleasing appearance. Ornaments can ornate the hairstyles and have various types including hair pins, hair bands, barrettes, etc. However, the bodies of the ornaments are exposed, leading to an adverse affect to the appearance. Furthermore, conventional ornaments can not mate with the shapes of the heads of the users. For example, it is difficult to move the upper portion of the hair of the user upward or to move the hair at a flat back of the head of the user rearward.
- Thus, a need exists for a hair ornament for mating with the shape of the head of the user while making a hairstyle.
- The present invention solves this need and other problems in the field of hair ornaments for mating head shapes of users by providing, in a preferred form, a hair ornament including a first body having an inner layer and an outer layer. The inner layer includes a lump. The outer layer covers the lump and includes a bottom face and a top face. A first hook or loop fastener is provided on the top face, and a second hook or loop fastener is provided on the bottom face. The hair ornament is adapted to be mounted in hair of a user and placed between upper and lower portions of the hair. The first hook or loop fastener engages with the upper portion of the hair, and the second hook or loop fastener engages with the lower portion of the hair.
- In preferred forms, the inner layer includes a bottom side having a curvature mating with a shape of the head of the user, and the bottom face of the outer layer mates with the shape of the head of the user. The lump is made of soft material.
- In a preferred form, a second body is stacked on the first body. The second body has an inner layer and an outer layer. The inner layer of the second body includes a lump. The outer layer of the second body covers the lump of the second body and includes a bottom face and a top face. A hook or loop fastener is provided on the top face of the second body, and another hook or loop fastener is provided on the bottom face of the second body. The first and second bodies are adapted to be mounted in the hair of the user and placed between the upper and lower portions of the hair. The hook loop fastener of the second body engages with the upper portion of the hair, and the hook or loop fastener of the first body engages with the lower portion of the hair.
- In another preferred form, a second body is placed beside the first body. The hook or loop fasteners on the top faces of the first and second bodies engage with the upper portion of the hair, and the hook or loop fasteners on the bottom faces of the first and second bodies engage with the lower portion of the hair. In a preferred form, the first and second bodies include two mutually facing sides having two hook or loop fasteners. The hook or loop fasteners on the two mutually facing sides engage with each other.
- In a preferred form, the top face of the outer layer is wavy and includes a plurality of grooves and a plurality of protrusions. The upper portion of the hair of the user engages with the first hook or loop fastener and is curved corresponding to the wavy top face of the outer layer.
- In another preferred form, the top face is rounded and includes a peripheral edge meeting a peripheral edge of the bottom face.
