Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • 1. Field of the Invention
  • The present invention relates to a grinding machine, and more particularly to an improved grinding disc structure.
  • 2. Description of the Related Art
  • When a grinding machine is used for grinding objects, debrises are usually produced after the objects are ground, and the debrises not only affects the health of workers, but also makes the working environment dirty and untidy. Therefore, it is an important subject for grinding machine manufacturers to find a way of collecting the debrises while grinding objects. In FIG. 4, an improved grinding disc structure comprises a vacuum hood 1, a base 2, a main disc body 3 and a grinding layer 4 stacked sequentially with each other, wherein the base 2 is connected with a main shaft 6 of a grinding machine 5, such that the grinding disc is driven by the main shaft 6 of the grinding machine 5 to rotate to perform the grinding action, and the main disc body 3 includes a penetrating dust exhaust hole 7 with an external passage 8 externally interconnected with a distal end of the main disc body 3, such that when the structure is used for grinding, the debrises produced around the grinding disc will be vacuumed from the external passage 8 and the dust exhaust hole 7 into the vacuum hood 1 to achieve the dust collection effect. However, the debrises produced at the center of the grinding disc cannot be removed effectively, and thus the debrises are accumulated at the center of the grinding disc and the grinding work is frequently affected. Obviously, such grinding disc structure capable of collecting debrises at the external portion of the grinding disc only requires further improvements.
  • In FIG. 5, an improved design for removing debrises from the center of the grinding disc is provided, wherein the center of the grinding disc has a middle hole 9 with an internal passage 10 interconnected with the external passage 8, so that the debrises at the center of the grinding disc can be vacuumed into the vacuum hood 1 through the internal passage 10 and the dust exhaust hole 7. However, the sucking force of the grinding disc of the sort mainly comes from the dust exhaust hole 7, and thus the debrises at the center of the grinding disc must be vacuumed from the dust exhaust hole 7 through the internal passage 10. Since the distance of the internal passage 10 is relatively long, therefore the debrises at the center cannot be vacuumed completely, and the dust exhaust hole 7 must be able to remove the debris from the center and the external portion of the grinding disc, and the sucking force will be seriously divided and weaken.
  • Referring to FIG. 6 for the design of another grinding disc structure, the main disc body 3 similarly has a middle hole 9, and the base 2 has a plurality of through holes 11 penetrating through the main disc body 3 and interconnected with the middle hole 11, so that the debrises at the center of the grinding disc can be vacuumed into the vacuum hood 1 through the through holes 11, but such through holes designed directly on the base 2 has the following major drawback. Since the base 2 is provided for connecting the main shaft 6 of the grinding machine 5 to drive the grinding disc to rotate, a high strength is required. If holes are punched directly on the base 2, the structural strength of the base 2 will be reduced greatly, and the overall safety of the grinding machine will be affected adversely. To take the structural strength into consideration, the through holes 11 generally come with a small design and an appropriate quantity. As a result, the through holes 11 will be clogged by debrises easily, and the effect of removing the debrises at the center of the grinding disc will no longer exist.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • Therefore, it is a primary objective of the present invention to provide an improved grinding disc structure for achieving the dust collection effect for both the external portion and the center of the grinding disc.
  • To achieve the foregoing objective, the present invention provides an improved grinding disc structure, comprising: a support disc, coupled with a grinding machine having a vacuum hood, and the support disc having a plurality of first through holes and a plurality of second through holes thereon; a main disc body, with a distal surface coupled onto the support disc, and the distal surface of the main disc body having a plurality of dust exhaust holes, and each dust exhaust hole being interconnected with each corresponding first through hole on the support disc, and the center position of the main disc body having a longitudinal guiding portion, and the longitudinal guiding portion having a plurality of transverse guiding portions extended towards an external rim of the main disc body, and each transverse guiding portion being interconnected with each corresponding second through hole on the support disc, and a blocking portion being disposed between each transverse guiding portion and each dust exhaust hole, such that each transverse guiding portion is not interconnected with each dust exhaust hole; and a grinding layer, coupled to another distal surface of the main disc body, and having a plurality of through holes disposed on the grinding layer and interconnected with each dust exhaust hole corresponding to the longitudinal guiding portion.
  • Therefore, each dust exhaust hole and the longitudinal guiding portion can achieve the dust collection effect for the interior and the center of the grinding disc respectively.

  • The objective, technical measures and performance of the present invention will become apparent in the detailed description of the preferred embodiments with reference to the accompanying drawings as follows:
  • Referring to FIGS. 1 to 3, the present invention provides an improved structure of a grinding disc 12 comprising a support disc 21, a main disc body 31 and a grinding layer 41 stacked sequentially with each other.
  • The support disc 21 is coupled with a grinding machine 51 having a vacuum hood 52, and includes a connecting element 22 protruded from the center of the support disc 21 and connected to a main shaft 54 of the grinding machine 51 through the connecting element 22, and six first through holes 24 disposed around the top of the support disc 21, and the support disc 21 includes three second through holes 26 around the center of the support disc 21.
  • The top of the main disc body 31 is coupled to a distal surface of the support disc 21, and the distal surface of the main disc body 31 includes six penetrating dust exhaust holes 32, each interconnected with each first through hole 24 on the support disc 21, and each dust exhaust hole 32 includes a passage 34 interconnected externally with the periphery of the main disc body 31, and the center of the main disc body 31 has a longitudinal guiding portion 36 penetrating through the bottom of the main disc body 31, and the longitudinal guiding portion 36 includes three transverse guiding portions 38 extended towards the each disc body 31, and the external edge of the transverse guiding portion 38 is interconnected with each second through hole 26 on the support disc 21, and a blocking portion 39 is disposed between each transverse guiding portion 38 and each dust exhaust hole 32, such that each transverse guiding portion 38 is not interconnected with each dust exhaust hole 32.
  • The grinding layer 41 is formed by connecting an adhesive plate 42 and a grinding sand paper 44, and the grinding layer 41 is disposed at the bottom of the main disc body 31, and the grinding layer 41 includes seven through holes 46 corresponding to each dust exhaust hole 32 and the longitudinal guiding portion 36.
  • When the invention is in use as shown in FIG. 3, the support disc 21, the main disc body 31 and the grinding layer 41 are stacked sequentially to form the structure of a grinding disc 12, and a connecting element 22 on the support disc 21 is used for connecting a main shaft 54 of the grinding machine 51, such that debrises produced around the external periphery of the grinding disc 12 during the grinding process are sucked through the passage 34 by the effect of the vacuum hood 52, and then transmitted and collected into the vacuum hood 52 through the dust exhaust hole 32. In the meantime, the debrises at the center of the grinding disc 12 are sucked through the longitudinal guiding portion 36 by the effect of the vacuum hood 52, and then transmitted and collected into the vacuum hood 52 through the transverse guiding portion 38.
  • The present invention uses the blocking portion 39 to isolate each dust exhaust hole 32 from each transverse guiding portion 38, so that they are not interconnected, and each dust exhaust hole 32 and each transverse guiding portion 38 do not interfere with each other during the dust collection process. Therefore, each dust exhaust hole 32 and its corresponding passage 34 achieve the effect of collecting debrises at the external portion of the grinding disc 12, and the longitudinal guiding portion 36 and each transverse guiding portion 38 achieve the effect of collecting debrises at the center of the grinding disc 12. Since each transverse guiding portion 38 is very close to the center of the grinding disc 12, therefore the debrises at the center of the grinding disc 12 can be sucked successfully into the vacuum hood 52 to overcome the drawback of having debrises remained at the center of the grinding disc 12 due to an insufficient sucking force. Further, the transverse guiding portions 38 come with a sufficient space for containing the debrises, and thus there will be no clogging problem caused by the debrises.
