  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • While there is little dispute that a warm bed can be a peaceful refuge at the end of a hectic day, actually making one's bed can be a hassle. Specifically, making one's bed in the morning can be a hassle. Untangling and untwisting bedding, making one's bed can be a time consuming and tedious process. This task can be especially frustrating when making queen or king size beds, as the very size of the bed can make the process of applying the bedding awkward and difficult, especially if one is applying this bedding unassisted. Making one's bed can also be challenging for those who suffer limited mobility, back pain and similar medical maladies.
  • The present invention, hereinafter referred to as the Lazy Man's Bedspread, is a unique invention which provides consumers a more practical means of making their beds. Simply stated, the Lazy Man's Bedspread is a specially designed line of bedding, including bedspreads and comforters each boasting integrally attached pillow shams, and bed skirts thus enabling the user to make their bed in a fraction of the time associated with traditional methods.

Materials useful for this unique bedding include percale, satin, silk and thermal cotton blends, while woven cotton, wool or quilted comforters are also available. The most notable aspect of the Lazy Man's Bedspread however, and that which sets this cleverly designed product apart from standard bedspreads and comforters on the market is that this bedding features integrated pillow shams, thus eliminating the need to apply these items separately when making the bed. These pillow shams are appropriately positioned at the head of the bedding, thus facilitating effortless application. In an alternative embodiment, the Lazy Man's Bedspread also comprises an attached bed skirt. As mentioned, the Lazy Man's Bedspread is produced in a variety of colors and designs to correspond with existing bedroom decor.

After applying a fitted sheet and top sheet over their mattress, the user applies the Lazy Man's Bedspread in a similar manner, spreading the unit flat over the bed. After smoothing out any wrinkles, the user inserts comfy pillows into the pockets at the end of the bedspread and they are ready for a peaceful night's rest. Awakening in the morning, the user need only pull up the Lazy Man's Bedspread and their bed is made in a manner of seconds. Periodically, the Lazy Man's Bedspread is removed, laundered and reapplied or stored away until again needed.
