Abstract
A wheeled toy for helping children expand their creative ability, for fostering relationships amongst children, and for developing leadership skills. The toy is a concept toy. The toy is initially used with either a book or any other medium in which a story is expressed. The story is an imaginary quest for righteousness amongst five heroes that ideally will work as a unit in order to succeed in their quest. The wheeled toy is comprised of a wheel, a track guide attached to the wheel, and a telescoping guide attached to the track guide.
Description
- The present invention relates to wheeled toys, and more particularly pertains to a wheeled toy which is pulled or pushed by a handle and which is associated with a unique tale.
- There is an unending need for action toys that will please children and challenge their imagination. In this respect, children love to play with toys and imagine scenarios associated with the toys. Toys that allow children to play in groups might sometimes be of greater stimulus to young children than toys that are made for individual use.
- The present invention is a toy that is associated with a tale of five rings, each ring having a certain power, and wherein each ring is of a predetermined color. Four of the powers would be the powers of the natural elements: earth, wind, water, and fire. The fifth ring would be the ring that would allow all of the rings powers to unite in equilibrium. The tale would be set up chronologically and show how five beings, dragons, from antiquity possessed the rings and how they ended up losing the rings. The dragons being all powerfill as a group, yet vulnerable individually. The story would continue in the present and introduce five new actors to the story. Each actor would find one of the rings and upon the fifth ring being found a guardian would explain the history of the rings to the actors and the responsibility of each actor possessing a ring.
- The goal of the toy is to have children associate the toy with the tale. Each toy will remind the child playing with the toy of a certain power and responsibility associated with each ring of the tale. When several children have the toy, the children could theoretically recreate scenes of the tale or create new adventures. The toy is made to foster cooperation amongst children playing with the toy. Ideally, the toy's lighting system will be able to selectively illuminate the toy corresponding to the color of the power associated therewith in the tale.
- For the foregoing reasons, there is a need for a wheeled toy that will foster relationships amongst children and help them expand their creative ability.
- The present invention is directed to a wheeled toy for helping children expand their creative ability, for fostering relationships amongst children, and for developing leadership skills. The toy is a concept toy. The toy is initially used with either a book or any other medium in which a story is expressed. The story is an imaginary quest for righteousness amongst five heroes that ideally will work as a unit in order to succeed in their quest.
- The wheeled toy is comprised of a wheel, a track guide attached to the wheel, and a telescoping guide attached to the track guide. The wheel defines a track adjacent to the circumference of the wheel and the interior of the wheel might have a lighting system. The wheel might further have the capacity to receive other toys. The track guide has a -pair of guide track wheels, a section that attaches to the telescoping guide, and a section that attaches to the wheel. The telescoping guide might have the capacity to receive other toys and might have a handle.
- In an embodiment of the toy, the toy might be used with a medium that sets up a creative journey for children to embark on.
- An object of the present invention is to provide a toy that will promote children's imagination.
- Another object of the present invention is to provide a toy that will allow children to play in a cooperative manner.
- A further object of the present invention is to allow a children to develop cooperative and leadership skills.

FIG. 4 shows a top plan view of the wheel element of the present invention. - As seen in
FIGS. 1 , 2 and 4, a wheeled toy 10 comprising awheel 100, atrack guide 200, and atelescoping guide 300. Thewheel 100 is attached to thetrack guide 200 andtrack guide 200 attaches to thetelescoping guide 300. - The
wheel 100 having two sides, a pair oftrucks 102 running adjacent to the circumference of thewheel 100, eachtrack 102 being on each side of thewheel 100. - The
track guide 200 is comprised of two side members 202, each side member 202 has an upper 202 b and a lower side 202 a, the members 202 are secured to each other by at least onetrack guide pin 204 so that the members 202 are positioned and configured to receive thewheel 100. Thetrack guide 200 is further comprised of a pair oftrack guide wheels 206 and a pair ofaxels 208, eachtrack guide wheel 206 attaches to eachaxel 208, and eachaxel 208 attaches to the lower side of each member 202 a. Thetrack guide wheels 206 mount on the tracks of thewheel 102. - The
telescoping guide 300 has a first 300 a and asecond end 300 b, thefirst end 300 a of thetelescoping guide 300 attaches to the upper side of eachmember 202 b of thetrack guide 200. And, the second end of thetelescoping guide 300 b attaches to ahandle 302. - In an embodiment of the present invention, the wheeled toy 10 might further have a
lighting system 104. Thelighting system 104 might be fixedly attached to at least one of the sides of thewheel 100. - In another embodiment of the present invention, the wheeled toy 10 might further have a pair of
receivers 400. Eachreceiver 400 might be placed on thetelescoping guide 300 at a set distance apart. In this embodiment, atoy rifle 500 might be removably attached to thereceivers 400. - In still another embodiment of the present invention, the wheeled toy 10 might have an
axel pin 600, theaxel pin 600 might be fixedly attached to thewheel 100 at the wheel's axis. In this embodiment, atoy knife 700 might be removably attached to theaxel pin 600. - In yet a further embodiment of the present invention, the wheeled toy 10 might define a
semicircular channel 800 on at least one of the sides of thewheel 100. In this embodiment, atoy bow 900 might be removably attached within thesemicircular channel 800. - In sill another embodiment, the wheeled toy might further include a book (not seen in the drawings). The book would describe a scene from which a child could embark on. It is foreseen that the scene in the book could be transferred to another medium of expression.
- An advantage of the present invention is that it provides a toy that promotes children's imagination.
- Another advantage of the present invention is that it provides a toy that allows children to play in a cooperative manner.
- A further advantage of the present invention is that it allows a children to develop cooperative and leadership skills.
Claims (9)
1. A wheeled toy comprising:
a wheel, the wheel having two sides, a pair of tracks running adjacent to the circumference of the wheel, each track being on each side of the wheel;
a track guide, the track guide is comprised of two side members, each side member has an upper and a lower side, the members are secured to each other by at least one track guide pin so that the members are positioned and configured to receive the wheel, a pair of track wheels, and a pair of axels, each track wheel attaches to each axel, and each axel attaches to the lower side of each member, the track guide wheels are mounted on the tracks of the wheel;
a telescoping guide, the telescoping guide having a first and a second end, the first end attaches to the upper side of each member of the track guide; and
a handle, the handle attaches to the second end of the telescoping guide.
2. The wheeled toy of claim 1 , further comprising a lighting system, the lighting system fixedly attaches to at least one side of the wheel.
3. The wheeled toy of claim 2 , further comprising;
a pair of receivers, each receiver placed on the telescoping guide at a set distance apart; and
a toy rifle, the toy rifle removably attaches to the receivers.
4. The wheel toy of claim 3 , further comprising;
an axel pin, the axel pin attaches to the wheel; and
and a toy knife, the toy knife removably attaches to the axel pin.
5. The wheel toy of claim 4 , further comprising;
a semicircular channel, the semicircular channel is defined on at least one of the sides of the wheel; and
a toy bow, the toy bow removably attaches to the channel.
6. The wheeled toy of claim 2 , further comprising a book, the book setting up a scene from which a child embarks.
7. The wheeled toy of claim 6 , further comprising;
a pair of receivers, each receiver placed on the telescoping guide at a set distance apart; and
a toy rifle, the toy rifle removably attaches to the receivers.
8. The wheel toy of claim 7 , further comprising;
an axel pin, the axel pin attaches to the wheel; and
and a toy knife, the toy knife removably attaches to the axel pin.
9. The wheel toy of claim 8 , further comprising;
a semicircular channel, the semicircular channel is defined on at least one of the sides of the wheel; and
a toy bow, the toy bow removably attaches within the channel.
