Abstract

A mute compressor includes a driving motor, a positioning base fixed at one side of the driving motor, a driven mechanism and a cylinder fixed above the positioning base. The driving motor has a driving gear and a cooling fan respectively fixed at its two sides. The positioning base is provided with a chamber for accommodating the driven mechanism having a driven gear engaged with the driving gear. Set on the driven gear is a shaft that is fixed with a cam having an eccentric shaft fixed on it. The cylinder includes a piston and a piston rod fixed at the bottom of the piston to connect with the eccentric shaft. With the driving gear and the driven mechanism confined in the chamber sealed with a lid, the noise created during operation of the mute compressor can be blocked by the positioning base to get minimized.

Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • 1. Field of the Invention
  • This invention relates to a mute compressor, particularly to one having its driving gear and driven mechanism completely surrounded by a positioning base so as to tremendously lower operating noise.
  • 2. Description of the Prior Art
  • As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, a conventional compressor 1 is mainly provided with driving motor 10, a driving gear 11 fixed at one side of the driving motor 10, a cooling fan 12 fixed at another side of the driving motor 10, a positioning rack 13 fixed at one side of the driving motor 10, a driven mechanism 14 installed beneath the positioning rack 13, and a cylinder 15 positioned above the positioning rack 13. The driven mechanism 14 is further provided with a driven gear 140 engaged with the driving gear 11, a shaft 141 fixed at the driven gear 140, a cam 142 positioned on the shaft 141, and an eccentric shaft 143 fixed on the cam 142. The cylinder 15 is further provided with a piston 150, a piston rod 151 fixed at the bottom of the piston 150 and extended to connect with the eccentric shaft 143. However, as the driven mechanism 14 is exposed on the positioning rack 13, it is to create a great noise while working.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The object of this invention is to offer a mute compressor able to greatly lower its noise created while operating.
  • The main characteristics of the invention are a driving motor, a positioning base fixed at one side of the driving motor, a driven mechanism and a cylinder fixed above the positioning base. With the driving gear and the driven mechanism confined in a chamber sealed with a lid in the positioning base, the noise created while operating the mute compressor can be isolated by the positioning base to get minimized.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS
  • This invention is better understood by referring to the accompanying drawings, wherein:
  • FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a conventional compressor;
  • FIG. 2 is a front view of the conventional compressor;
  • FIG. 3 is an exploded perspective view of a preferred embodiment of a mute compressor in the present invention;
  • FIG. 4 is a perspective view of the preferred embodiment of a mute compressor in the present invention; and
  • FIG. 5 is a cross-sectional view of the preferred embodiment of a mute compressor in the present invention.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • As shown in FIGS. 3˜5, a preferred embodiment of a mute compressor in the present invention includes a driving motor 2, a positioning base 3 fixed at one side of the driving motor 2, a driven mechanism 4 and a cylinder 5.
  • The driving motor 2 is provided with a driving gear 20 positioned at one end, and a cooling fan 21 fixed at another end.
  • The positioning base 3 is provided with a chamber 30 formed inside it for accommodating the driving gear 20 and the driven mechanism 4 therein, and a lid 31 employed to fixedly cover the chamber 30 by means of plural screws 32.
  • The driven mechanism 4 is provided with a driven gear 40, a shaft 41 fixed in the center of the driven gear 40, a cam 42 positioned on the shaft 41, and an eccentric shaft 43 fixed eccentrically on the cam 42.
  • The cylinder 5 is installed on the positioning base 3, provided with a piston 50, a piston rod 51 having one end fixed at the bottom of the piston 50 and another end pivotally connected with the eccentric shaft 43.
  • It is to be noted that, with the driving gear 20 of the driving motor 2 and the driven mechanism 4 confined in the chamber 30 sealed with the lid 31, the noise created during operation of the driven mechanism 4 driven by the driving gear 20 can be blocked by the positioning base 3 to be mostly lessened, achieving a noise-muting function.
  • While the preferred embodiment of the invention has been described above, it will be recognized and understood that various modifications may be made therein and the appended claims are intended to cover all such modifications that may fall within the spirit and scope of the invention.
