Abstract
A mute compressor includes a driving motor, a positioning base fixed at one side of the driving motor, a driven mechanism and a cylinder fixed above the positioning base. The driving motor has a driving gear and a cooling fan respectively fixed at its two sides. The positioning base is provided with a chamber for accommodating the driven mechanism having a driven gear engaged with the driving gear. Set on the driven gear is a shaft that is fixed with a cam having an eccentric shaft fixed on it. The cylinder includes a piston and a piston rod fixed at the bottom of the piston to connect with the eccentric shaft. With the driving gear and the driven mechanism confined in the chamber sealed with a lid, the noise created during operation of the mute compressor can be blocked by the positioning base to get minimized.
Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- This invention relates to a mute compressor, particularly to one having its driving gear and driven mechanism completely surrounded by a positioning base so as to tremendously lower operating noise.
- 2. Description of the Prior Art
- As shown in
FIGS. 1 and 2 , aconventional compressor 1 is mainly provided withdriving motor 10, adriving gear 11 fixed at one side of thedriving motor 10, acooling fan 12 fixed at another side of thedriving motor 10, apositioning rack 13 fixed at one side of thedriving motor 10, a drivenmechanism 14 installed beneath thepositioning rack 13, and acylinder 15 positioned above thepositioning rack 13. The drivenmechanism 14 is further provided with a drivengear 140 engaged with thedriving gear 11, ashaft 141 fixed at the drivengear 140, acam 142 positioned on theshaft 141, and aneccentric shaft 143 fixed on thecam 142. Thecylinder 15 is further provided with apiston 150, apiston rod 151 fixed at the bottom of thepiston 150 and extended to connect with theeccentric shaft 143. However, as the drivenmechanism 14 is exposed on thepositioning rack 13, it is to create a great noise while working. - The object of this invention is to offer a mute compressor able to greatly lower its noise created while operating.
- The main characteristics of the invention are a driving motor, a positioning base fixed at one side of the driving motor, a driven mechanism and a cylinder fixed above the positioning base. With the driving gear and the driven mechanism confined in a chamber sealed with a lid in the positioning base, the noise created while operating the mute compressor can be isolated by the positioning base to get minimized.
- This invention is better understood by referring to the accompanying drawings, wherein:
-
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a conventional compressor; -
FIG. 2 is a front view of the conventional compressor; -
FIG. 3 is an exploded perspective view of a preferred embodiment of a mute compressor in the present invention; -
FIG. 4 is a perspective view of the preferred embodiment of a mute compressor in the present invention; and -
FIG. 5 is a cross-sectional view of the preferred embodiment of a mute compressor in the present invention. - As shown in
FIGS. 3˜5 , a preferred embodiment of a mute compressor in the present invention includes adriving motor 2, apositioning base 3 fixed at one side of thedriving motor 2, a drivenmechanism 4 and acylinder 5. - The driving
motor 2 is provided with adriving gear 20 positioned at one end, and acooling fan 21 fixed at another end. - The
positioning base 3 is provided with achamber 30 formed inside it for accommodating thedriving gear 20 and the drivenmechanism 4 therein, and alid 31 employed to fixedly cover thechamber 30 by means ofplural screws 32. - The driven
mechanism 4 is provided with a drivengear 40, ashaft 41 fixed in the center of the drivengear 40, acam 42 positioned on theshaft 41, and aneccentric shaft 43 fixed eccentrically on thecam 42. - The
cylinder 5 is installed on thepositioning base 3, provided with apiston 50, apiston rod 51 having one end fixed at the bottom of thepiston 50 and another end pivotally connected with theeccentric shaft 43. - It is to be noted that, with the
driving gear 20 of thedriving motor 2 and the drivenmechanism 4 confined in thechamber 30 sealed with thelid 31, the noise created during operation of the drivenmechanism 4 driven by thedriving gear 20 can be blocked by thepositioning base 3 to be mostly lessened, achieving a noise-muting function. - While the preferred embodiment of the invention has been described above, it will be recognized and understood that various modifications may be made therein and the appended claims are intended to cover all such modifications that may fall within the spirit and scope of the invention.
