Abstract

An assembling system for storage and workbench, wherein the assembling system comprises at least an upright support, a beam, locking components (include cross brace, locking pins and steel corner plate), and a plurality of back and side panels. The aforesaid components are connected with no screws nor bolts but by hooks internally disposed in each component. The upright support comprises three working surfaces which are integrally formed and each working surface stands vertically and joins with each other to form a square shaped upright self supporting structure. Each working surface has a plurality of fixing slots. The overall structure is secure and capable of resisting strong pressure, convenient to assemble and disassemble and adjustable in height and use of components, including the affixing of doors and drawers. The assembling system is widely applicable to modular storage and workbench systems in homes, garages and small enterprises.

Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to an assembling system for storage and workbench, and more particularly a system which utilizes upright supports, beams as well as support and safety pin modules for assembling into various storage and workbench systems without the need for any screws or bolts.
  • Assembling systems for storage and workbench in the marketplace are usually of a lightweight nature and limited in depth, and they are not designed for storing heavy or larger objects. As the existing systems use only two fixed sides for connection, and/or require connection with walls or other fixed structures for support, they are not self-supported. For example, common garage storage systems are made of steel panels or molded plastics, and their cross braces are with a limited strength; as a result, the structure thereof could not resist stronger external force on its own and it is easy to be deformed or damaged. Similar systems usually have the beam fixed onto an external vertical side of the upright support. Each upright support usually has one or two usable vertical sides, but it is impossible to use other accessories other than panels and supports, such as side panels, doors, drawers and so forth. As for connection, previous systems use bolts and screws as locking components for connecting and fixing; they are therefore difficult to be dissembled and assembled. There is a trend to develop a storage and workbench assembling system which is free to dissemble and assemble, free to adjust its internal structure and select size of space, and creates maximum convenience for users.
  • BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • In view of the inconvenience to use similar systems in the marketplace and the failure of the existing systems to achieve multi-functional effect, the present invention provides an assembling system for storage and workbench which not only requires no screws nor bolts for connection, but also is capable of free adjustment of the internal structure of the system according to users' needs in order to achieve the best usage effect.
  • To attain this, the present invention is achieved by the following technical proposal:
  • An upright support structure comprising three working surfaces which are integrally formed, and the three working surfaces each stands vertically and joins with each other to form a square-shaped upright support structure, and each working surface has a plurality of fixing slots which is used in combination with a beam for adjusting space size or changing structure of the system. In combination with the upright support, there is also a top steel corner plate which is inserted into a square-shaped opening from a top end of the upright support so as to guarantee vertical rigidity. Besides, the fixing slots are designed to be in a shape which is capable of receiving locking pins or hooks.
  • A beam structure in which a plurality of hooks and fixing slots are disposed; by connecting the internally-disposed hooks to an internal vertical surface of the upright support, connection of the internal vertical surface is achieved. Moreover, the top steel corner plate strengthens the stability of the beam structure and the upright support structure via the fixing slots. Besides, the internal edges of the beam structure is processed to enable direct insertion of panels and drawers, so that when heavy objects are placed therein, pressure is directed via the internal edges to the beam and thereby prevent sliding out or deformation.
  • Locking components comprise locking pins, cross braces and top steel corner plates. The internally-disposed locking pins (which could also be externally-disposed if necessary) act against the upright support and the beam and thereby ensure connection stability, and also guarantee the secure locking of other accessories such as doors, panels and drawers. The cross braces, by using the fixing slots on the side of the upright support, ensures stability of the upright support and also provide support to the side panels due to the dual functions of the cross braces. By disposing the top steel corner plate inside the upright support and the beam, the connection of the important structures of the system, i.e. the upright support and the beam, is more secure.
  • An assembling system for storage and workbench and the structures thereof, comprising an upright support structure, a beam structure, locking components, a back panel, side panels and a plurality of panels. The back panel and the side panels are mounted onto the upright support by the internally-disposed hooks thereof. The panels are mounted onto the upright support by the beam. It is innovative to allow selection of a series of panels, doors and drawers and achieve novel assembling effect by adjusting position of various components. Besides, the beam is internally-disposed with hooks for inserting into the fixing slots of the upright support to achieve internal connection and fixing. Moreover, strengthening is achieved by internally-disposed locking pins, cross braces and the top steel corner plate and so a safe and secure storage and workbench system is formed.
  • The present invention is advantageous in that it requires no screws nor bolts for connection, yet the overall structure is secure and capable of resisting strong pressure, flexible and quick to install, free and convenience to dissemble, capable of adjusting size and height according to users' needs, and capable of achieving the best usage effect of re-assembling by adjusting internal components. The assembling system is widely applicable to modular storage and workbench assembling systems in homes, garages and small enterprises, and it enjoys a wide market prospect.

  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • FIGS. 1 to 5 illustrate components of the present invention. FIGS. 6 to 8 illustrate the assembling views of an embodiment of the present invention. It comprises an upright support 1 which comprises three working surfaces which are integrally formed. The three working surfaces each stands vertically and joins with each other to form a square-shaped upright support structure. Each working surface has a plurality of fixing slots 2. Side panel 4, back panel 5 and a plurality of panels 6, wherein the side panel 4 and the back panel 5 are mounted onto the upright support 1 by internally-disposed hooks. The panel 6 with its corners cut out and processed is mounted onto the upright support 1 by disposing inside the beam 7. The beam 7 is disposed with hooks 8 for inserting into the fixing slots 2 of the upright support 1 in order to achieve internal connection. By inserting the top steel corner plate 9 from a top end of the upright support 1 into a square-shaped opening, vertical rigidity is guaranteed. The cross brace 3 is mounted onto a lateral side of the upright support 1 by its internally-disposed hooks, and the locking pins 1 0 are inserted into the plurality of fixing slots 2 of the upright support 1 to achieve strengthening of the entire system and ensure that the system would not be dissembled due to erroneous operation, thereby increasing the safety of the system. The entire system could only be dissembled by the internally-disposed locking pin 10.
  • The structure as in FIG. 8 is only a preferred embodiment of the present invention. The present invention is capable of other embodiments and is not limited by the above embodiment. The scope of the present invention should be determined by the appended claims. Any other variation not deviated from the spirit of the present invention should fall within the scope of protection of the present invention.
