Abstract
The present invention provides a self-standing bag with foldable flanges. The bag includes a main body, available with two corresponding side walls and a top/bottom wall connected between the top/bottom of two side walls. There are foldable flanges arranged at the top of two side walls of the main bag body, and openings are formed between two corresponding sides of the foldable flanges. The self-standing bag is positioned more reliably for an improved ads effect.

- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates generally to a self-standing bag, and more particularly to an innovative self-standing bag, which allows foldable flanges to be assembled at a top of two side walls of the main body.
- 2. Description of Related Art Including Information Disclosed Under 37 CFR 1.97 and 37 CFR 1.98.
- A self-standing bag is widely used to as refill packages for liquid products (e.g. laundry detergent, softener), or powder or granule products (e.g. detergent, feed).
- A conventional self-standing bag is depicted in
FIG. 1 , wherein thebottom 03 of the self-standingbag 02 can be expanded physically into a bigger area, and thetop 04 can be compressed in a flat pattern - However, there are shortcomings observed during actual applications.
- First, as regards the stability of arrangement, the
side wall 05 is tilted when the conventional self-standingbag 02 is expanded by some objects, so the bottom wall of the self-standingbag 02 will be stretched into an arced shape. In such a case, only two opposite corners of thebottom 03 of the self-standingbag 02 are stably supported, leading to instability of the conventional self-standing bag. Thus, it is not ideal for the sales in the shops and arrangement by the users. - Second, as regards the ads effect, the space available for advertisement is only limited to the
side wall 05 of the self-standingbag 02, without mentioning the overlapped portion around theside wall 05, so the commercial effect of the self-standing bag is not suitable for marketing purposes. - Thus, to overcome the aforementioned problems of the prior art, it would be an advancement in the art to provide an improved structure that can significantly improve efficacy.
- Therefore, the inventor has provided the present invention of practicability after deliberate design and evaluation based on years of experience in the production, development and design of related products.
- Based on the unique present invention, the self-standing bag allows foldable flanges to be assembled at a top of two side walls, and the top of these two side walls is separated by a top wall. So, when the self-standing bag is filled with some objects, the two side walls can be expanded into a tubular space, and then the bottom of these two side walls is supported in a flush state, enabling the self-standing bag to be positioned stably for the purpose of smooth sales and reliable arrangement.
- Based on the unique present invention, foldable flanges are assembled at the top of two side walls. The print ads space of the self-standing bag can be further increased, thus providing a clearer and wider picture for improved graphical representation and marketing purpose.
- Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed.
-
FIG. 1 shows a perspective view of a typical structure. -
FIG. 2 shows a perspective view of a preferred embodiment of the present invention. -
FIG. 3 shows a sectional view of a preferred embodiment of the present invention. -
FIG. 4 shows another schematic view of a preferred embodiment of the top wall of the present invention. -
FIG. 5 shows a schematic view of the present invention that the foldable flanges are additionally provided with a handle hole. -
FIG. 6 shows a perspective view of the status of the present invention, wherein the foldable flanges are folded into a transversely extension state. -
FIG. 7 shows a cross-sectional view of the present invention, wherein the foldable flanges are folded downwards. -
FIGS. 2-3 depict preferred embodiments of a self-standing bag of the present invention with a foldable flange. The embodiments are provided for only explanatory objectives with respect to the patent claims. - The self-standing bag A comprises a
main bag body 10, which is available with twocorresponding side walls 11 and abottom wall 12 connected between the bottom of two side walls 11 (shown inFIG. 3 ). - The bag A also comprises a
top wall 20, which is connected between the top of twoside walls 11 of themain bag body 10 in a transversely flanged pattern. - Two
foldable flanges side walls 11 of themain bag body 10 to a proper area. Moreover, anopening 31 is formed between two corresponding sides of thefoldable flanges - The
corners 32 of thefoldable flanges FIG. 2 depicts the rounding pattern of thecorners 32. - An
object outlet 40 is placed centrally or laterally onto thetop wall 20. Referring toFIGS. 2 and 3 , theobject outlet 40 is comprised of a protruding screwed pipe 41 and ablind nut 42. Theblind nut 42 can be screwed onto the protruding screwed pipe 41 to seal theobject outlet 40. Conversely, theobject outlet 40 can be opened by loosening theblind nut 42. - Referring to
FIG. 4 , thefoldable flanges handle hole 50, allowing the user to lift and carry manually the self-standing bag. - Referring to
FIG. 5 , theobject outlet 40 of the preferred embodiment is placed laterally onto thetop wall 20B, and thetop wall 20B is set into a downward inclined plane. - The core design of the self-standing bag A of the present invention lies in that,
foldable flanges side walls 11 of themain bag body 10. As shown inFIG. 3 , the top of twoside walls 11 is separated by thetop wall 20, rather than two conventional side walls' tops that are connected in a flat state, so these twoside walls 11 of the present invention can be expanded into a tubular space, and then the bottom of these twoside walls 11 is supported in a flush state, enabling the self-standing bag to be positioned stably. Furthermore, with the arrangement of thefoldable flanges - Additionally, based on the design that an
opening 31 is formed between two corresponding sides of thefoldable flanges foldable flanges foldable flanges FIG. 6 ), or folded downwards to be abutted externally against the side wall 11 (in collaboration withFIG. 7 ), so theobject outlet 40 on thetop wall 20 is exposed for ease-of-use. It is thus learnt that these twofoldable flanges
