Abstract
A toolbox includes a first shell, a second shell pivotally connected to the first shell, a case disposed in the first shell, holders pivotally connected to the case and each formed with holes for receiving bits and a connector pivotally connected to the holders so that the holders are pivoted all together when one of the holders is pivoted.
Description
- The present invention relates to a toolbox and, more particularly, to a toolbox including holders which are pivoted between a first position and a second position all together by operating only one of the holders.
- There are various toolboxes for neat storage and convenient carrying of toolkits. Some of the toolboxes can clearly display the toolkits and provide easy access to the toolkits. Some of the toolboxes can be hung on the wall.
- The present invention is intended to provide another toolbox.
- It is the primary objective of the present invention to provide a toolbox with holders that are pivoted all together when one of the holders is pivoted.
- According to the present invention, a toolbox includes a first shell, a second shell pivotally connected to the first shell, a case disposed in the first shell, holders pivotally connected to the case and each formed with holes for receiving bits and a connector pivotally connected to the holders so that the holders are pivoted all together when one of the holders is pivoted.
- Other objectives, advantages and features of the present invention will become apparent from the following description referring to the attached drawings.
- The present invention will be described via the detailed illustration of the preferred embodiment referring to the drawings.
-
FIG. 1 is an exploded view of a toolbox according to the preferred embodiment of the present invention. -
FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the toolbox shown inFIG. 1 . -
FIG. 3 is a perspective view of the toolbox with holders in another position than shown inFIG. 2 . -
FIG. 4 is a top view of the toolbox shown inFIG. 2 . -
FIG. 5 is a cross-sectional view of the toolbox taken along a line A-A shown inFIG. 4 . -
FIG. 6 is a top view of the toolbox shown inFIG. 3 . -
FIG. 7 is a cross-sectional view of the toolbox taken along a line B-B shown inFIG. 6 . - Referring to
FIGS. 1 to 3 , atoolbox 10 includes afirst shell 11, asecond shell 19, acase 13,holders 15 and aconnector 17 according to the preferred embodiment of the present invention. - The
first shell 11 includes twopivots 111 formed thereon and amovable buckle 112 provided thereon. Thesecond shell 19 includes twolugs 191 formed thereon and arail 192 formed thereon. Thelugs 191 are engaged with thepivots 111 so that thesecond shell 19 is pivotally connected to thefirst shell 11. Themovable buckle 112 can be engaged with therail 192 so that thefirst shell 11 is locked to thesecond shell 19. - The
case 13 includes alarge cavity 131 defined therein, amedium cavity 135 defined therein and separated from thelarge cavity 131 and twosmall cavities 136 in communication with themedium cavity 135.Nipping elements 132 are formed on each of two opposite walls of thelarge cavity 131. Each of thenipping elements 132 includes arecess 133 defined therein. A recess is defined in each of two opposite walls of each of thesmall cavities 136. - Each of the
holders 15 includes apivot 151 formed on each of two opposite sides, aboss 152 formed on one of the opposite sides andholes 154 defined therein. Each of thebosses 152 includes a slit defined therein to improve the elasticity. - The
connector 17 includesapertures 171 defined therein. The diameter of theapertures 171 is smaller than that of thebosses 152. - In assembly, the
case 13 is disposed in thefirst shell 11. Each of thepivots 151 of each of theholders 15 is engaged with a related one of thenipping elements 132 of a related one of the opposite walls of thelarge cavity 131. Thepivots 151 are forced upwards into therecesses 133. Thus, theholders 15 are pivotally connected to thecase 13. On the other hand, theboss 152 of each of theholders 15 can be forced in a related one of theapertures 171 of theconnector 17 because of the slit defined there. Thus, theholders 15 are connected to one another with theconnector 17. Thus, theholders 15 are pivoted all together when one of theholders 15 is pivoted. - In use,
bits 1 can be inserted in and removed from theholes 154. Twotools 2 can be disposed in and removed from thesmall cavities 136. Each of thetools 2 includes apivot 202 formed on each of two opposite sides. Thepivots 202 are disposed in the recesses in the opposite walls of thesmall cavities 136 so that thetools 2 are pivotally connected to thecase 13. - Referring to
FIGS. 2 , 4 and 6, theholders 15 are disposed in a first position close to a horizontal position. Thus, thesecond shell 19 can be lowered onto thefirst shell 11. That is, thetoolbox 10 is closed. - Referring to
FIGS. 3 , 5 and 7, theholders 15 are disposed in a second position close to an upright position. Thus, thebits 1 are displayed and can easily be removed from theholders 15. - The present invention has been described via the detailed illustration of the preferred embodiment. Those skilled in the art can derive variations from the preferred embodiment without departing from the scope of the present invention. Therefore, the preferred embodiment shall not limit the scope of the present invention defined in the claims.
