Abstract

A toolbox includes a first shell, a second shell pivotally connected to the first shell, a case disposed in the first shell, holders pivotally connected to the case and each formed with holes for receiving bits and a connector pivotally connected to the holders so that the holders are pivoted all together when one of the holders is pivoted.

Description

    FIELD OF INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to a toolbox and, more particularly, to a toolbox including holders which are pivoted between a first position and a second position all together by operating only one of the holders.
  • BACKGROUND OF INVENTION
  • There are various toolboxes for neat storage and convenient carrying of toolkits. Some of the toolboxes can clearly display the toolkits and provide easy access to the toolkits. Some of the toolboxes can be hung on the wall.
  • The present invention is intended to provide another toolbox.
  • SUMMARY OF INVENTION
  • It is the primary objective of the present invention to provide a toolbox with holders that are pivoted all together when one of the holders is pivoted.
  • According to the present invention, a toolbox includes a first shell, a second shell pivotally connected to the first shell, a case disposed in the first shell, holders pivotally connected to the case and each formed with holes for receiving bits and a connector pivotally connected to the holders so that the holders are pivoted all together when one of the holders is pivoted.
  • Other objectives, advantages and features of the present invention will become apparent from the following description referring to the attached drawings.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS
  • The present invention will be described via the detailed illustration of the preferred embodiment referring to the drawings.
  • FIG. 1 is an exploded view of a toolbox according to the preferred embodiment of the present invention.
  • FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the toolbox shown in FIG. 1.
  • FIG. 3 is a perspective view of the toolbox with holders in another position than shown in FIG. 2.
  • FIG. 4 is a top view of the toolbox shown in FIG. 2.
  • FIG. 5 is a cross-sectional view of the toolbox taken along a line A-A shown in FIG. 4.
  • FIG. 6 is a top view of the toolbox shown in FIG. 3.
  • FIG. 7 is a cross-sectional view of the toolbox taken along a line B-B shown in FIG. 6.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • Referring to FIGS. 1 to 3, a toolbox 10 includes a first shell 11, a second shell 19, a case 13, holders 15 and a connector 17 according to the preferred embodiment of the present invention.
  • The first shell 11 includes two pivots 111 formed thereon and a movable buckle 112 provided thereon. The second shell 19 includes two lugs 191 formed thereon and a rail 192 formed thereon. The lugs 191 are engaged with the pivots 111 so that the second shell 19 is pivotally connected to the first shell 11. The movable buckle 112 can be engaged with the rail 192 so that the first shell 11 is locked to the second shell 19.
  • The case 13 includes a large cavity 131 defined therein, a medium cavity 135 defined therein and separated from the large cavity 131 and two small cavities 136 in communication with the medium cavity 135. Nipping elements 132 are formed on each of two opposite walls of the large cavity 131. Each of the nipping elements 132 includes a recess 133 defined therein. A recess is defined in each of two opposite walls of each of the small cavities 136.
  • Each of the holders 15 includes a pivot 151 formed on each of two opposite sides, a boss 152 formed on one of the opposite sides and holes 154 defined therein. Each of the bosses 152 includes a slit defined therein to improve the elasticity.
  • The connector 17 includes apertures 171 defined therein. The diameter of the apertures 171 is smaller than that of the bosses 152.
  • In assembly, the case 13 is disposed in the first shell 11. Each of the pivots 151 of each of the holders 15 is engaged with a related one of the nipping elements 132 of a related one of the opposite walls of the large cavity 131. The pivots 151 are forced upwards into the recesses 133. Thus, the holders 15 are pivotally connected to the case 13. On the other hand, the boss 152 of each of the holders 15 can be forced in a related one of the apertures 171 of the connector 17 because of the slit defined there. Thus, the holders 15 are connected to one another with the connector 17. Thus, the holders 15 are pivoted all together when one of the holders 15 is pivoted.
  • In use, bits 1 can be inserted in and removed from the holes 154. Two tools 2 can be disposed in and removed from the small cavities 136. Each of the tools 2 includes a pivot 202 formed on each of two opposite sides. The pivots 202 are disposed in the recesses in the opposite walls of the small cavities 136 so that the tools 2 are pivotally connected to the case 13.
  • Referring to FIGS. 2, 4 and 6, the holders 15 are disposed in a first position close to a horizontal position. Thus, the second shell 19 can be lowered onto the first shell 11. That is, the toolbox 10 is closed.
  • Referring to FIGS. 3, 5 and 7, the holders 15 are disposed in a second position close to an upright position. Thus, the bits 1 are displayed and can easily be removed from the holders 15.
  • The present invention has been described via the detailed illustration of the preferred embodiment. Those skilled in the art can derive variations from the preferred embodiment without departing from the scope of the present invention. Therefore, the preferred embodiment shall not limit the scope of the present invention defined in the claims.
