- The present invention relates to a fastening device and, more particularly, to a fastening device for hanging and fastening ornamental light strings.
- 2. Description of the Related Art
- Ornamental light strings are usually used in a festival, such as on the Christmas Day, the New Year's Day and the like, to provide a decorative effect. However, the ornamental light strings are hung on or attached to an object, such as a tree, wall, eave and the like, so that the ornamental light strings are not fixed and are easily thrown away due to a blast of wind, thereby causing inconvenience to the user, and thereby decreasing the aesthetic quality of the ornamental light strings.
- The closest prior art reference of which the applicant is aware was disclosed in U.S. Pat. No. 7,249,866, entitled “Organizing and installation device for icicle lights”. However, such a device has a larger volume, thereby causing inconvenience in packaging, storage and transportation of the device.
- In accordance with the present invention, there is provided a fastening device, comprising a plurality of upright bars each provided with at least one first ring and each having two opposite ends each provided with a first hook, and at least two transverse bars each provided with at least one second ring for detachably hooking the first hook of a respective upright bar and each having two opposite ends each provided with a second hook for detachably hooking the first hook of a respective upright bar.
- The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a fastening device for hanging and fastening ornamental light strings, wherein the transverse bars are combined with the upright bars to construct the fastening device by a hooking connection of the second rings and the second hooks of the transverse bars with the first hooks of the upright bars, so that the transverse bars are combined with and detached from the upright bars easily and quickly, thereby greatly facilitating a user assembling and disassembling the fastening device.
- Another objective of the present invention is to provide a fastening device for hanging and fastening ornamental light strings, wherein the transverse bars are detached from the upright bars to reduce the whole volume of the fastening device when not in use, thereby facilitating packaging, storage and transportation of the fastening device before assembly.
- A further objective of the present invention is to provide a fastening device for hanging and fastening ornamental light strings, wherein the upright bars and the transverse bars are made easily and conveniently, thereby decreasing the costs of fabrication.
- A further objective of the present invention is to provide a fastening device for hanging and fastening ornamental light strings, wherein the fastening device comprises multiple transverse bars combined with multiple upright bars so that the size of the fastening device is changeable and expandable in a two-dimensional way according to a user's requirement, thereby enhancing the versatility of the fastening device before assembly.
- A further objective of the present invention is to provide a fastening device for hanging and fastening ornamental light strings, wherein each of the ornamental light strings is introduced through the opening into each of the first rings of each of the upright bars so that the ornamental light strings are retained and limited by the first rings of the upright bars to prevent the ornamental light strings from being vibrated or deflected.
- Further benefits and advantages of the present invention will become apparent after a careful reading of the detailed description with appropriate reference to the accompanying drawings.
-
