Abstract
An exerciser includes a hollow base having two openings. Each opening includes at least one first circular groove. Two bearing members are received in the two openinigs, and each has a frame with which a plurality of balls are rotatably engaged. Two disks are rotatably mounted on the two bearing members respectively, and each disk includes at least one second circular groove and teeth defined in an underside thereof. The balls are rotatably engaged between the at least one first circular groove and the at least one second circular groove. A driving gear is located in the hollow base and engaged with the teeth of both of the two disks.
Description
- The present invention relates to an exerciser having two rotatable disks located at a distance and a gear drives the two rotatable disks to rotate in the same directions simultaneously.
- A conventional exerciser named twister known to applicant includes a base with a rotatable disk connected on a top thereof and a bearing member is located beneath the rotatable disk. The user stands on the disk by his or her two feet and rotates the disk in two opposite directions alternatively to twist and exercise the body. However, the only rotatable disk provides a limited area for the user so that the user has to try hard to keep balance on the rotatable disk, the bearing member makes the rotatable disk to be easily rotated and this often cause falling for the user. Most of the users do not take the risk to try the exerciser because the unstable nature.
- The present invention intends to provide an exerciser that includes two rotatable disks so that the user can stand on the two rotatable disks in a stable status
- The present invention relates to an exerciser which comprises a hollow base having two openings and each opening includes at least one first circular groove defined in an inner end thereof. Two bearing members each have a frame which has at least one rail and holes are defined through the at least one rail. A plurality of balls are rotatably received in the holes. Two disks are rotatably mounted on the two bearing members respectively and each disk includes at least one second circular groove and teeth defined in the underside thereof. The balls are rotatably engaged between the at least one first circular groove and the at least one second circular groove. A driving gear is located in the hollow base and engaged with the teeth of both of the two disks.
- The primary object of the present invention is to provide an exerciser with two rotatable disks which are rotated in the same directions.
- The present invention will become more obvious from the following description when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings which show, for purposes of illustration only, a preferred embodiment in accordance with the present invention.
-
FIG. 1 is an exploded view to show the exerciser of the present invention; -
FIG. 2 is a side cross sectional view to show a part of the exerciser of the present invention; -
FIG. 3 shows a user stands on the two disks of the exerciser of the present invention, and -
FIG. 4 shows that the driving gear is engaged with teeth of the two rotatable disk of the exerciser of the present invention. - Referring to FIGS. I to 3, the exerciser of the present invention comprises a hollow and
thin base 10 which includes two openings defined in a top thereof and each opening includes two firstcircular grooves 11 defined in an inner end thereof. Two bearingmembers 20 are received in the openings and each bearingmember 20 has a frame which has twocircular rails 21 and holes are defined through therails 21. A plurality ofballs 22 are rotatably received in the holes. - Two
disks 40 are rotatably mounted on the two bearingmembers 20 respectively and eachdisk 40 has two secondcircular grooves 42 defined in an underside thereof. Theballs 22 are rotatably engaged between the first and secondcircular grooves disk 40 hasteeth 42 defined in the underside thereof. The twodisks 40 each have a central hole and two axes extend through the two central holes and the two bearingmembers 20 and are rotatably engaged with two recessed in thehollow base 10. - A
driving gear 60 is located in thehollow base 10 and engaged with the teeth of both of the twodisks 40 as shown inFIG. 4 . - It is noted that a distance between the two
disks 40 is substantially a width of a user's shoulders so that the user can stand on the twodisks 40 comfortably. The user twists his or her body to rotate the twodisks 40 and because thedriving gear 60 is engaged with the teeth of both of the twodisks 40, the twodisks 40 are rotated in the same direction simultaneously. The important feature effectively helps the user to keep balance on thedisks 40. - While we have shown and described the embodiment in accordance with the present invention, it should be clear to those skilled in the art that further embodiments may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.
