Description

    (a) TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention generally relates to baby carriers, and more particularly to a baby carrying device allowing a baby to be carried in various ways and providing additional bags and compartments.
  • (b) DESCRIPTION OF THE PRIOR ART
  • Quite a few baby carrying devices such as baby carrying packs and slings have been provided. However, most of these conventional baby carrying devices require that a second person to load the baby onto the carrying device worn by a user. Even though a few carrying devices have suggested that they allow the user to load the baby single-handedly. The baby can usually be positioned in a specific direction only such as facing the user, facing the front, or facing a side of the user.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The primary purpose of the present invention is to provide a novel baby carrying device allowing the baby to be selectively positioned to face the user, to face away from the user, or to face a lateral side of the user. The baby can also be held by the user to stand in the carrying device of the present invention.
  • Another major purpose of the present invention is to provide a novel baby carrying device that has additional bags and compartments for the storage of cellular phone, feeding bottle or bottled water, keys, diapers, clothes, milk powders, snacks, etc.
  • The foregoing objectives and summary provide only a brief introduction to the present invention. To fully appreciate these and other objects of the present invention as well as the invention itself, all of which will become apparent to those skilled in the art, the following detailed description of the invention and the claims should be read in conjunction with the accompanying drawings. Throughout the specification and drawings identical reference numerals refer to identical or similar parts.
  • Many other advantages and features of the present invention will become manifest to those versed in the art upon making reference to the detailed description and the accompanying sheets of drawings in which a preferred structural embodiment incorporating the principles of the present invention is shown by way of illustrative example.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing a baby carrying device according to an embodiment of the present invention.
  • FIG. 2 is a perspective view suggesting a first application of the baby carrying device of FIG. 1.
  • FIG. 3 is a perspective view suggesting a second application of the baby carrying device of FIG. 1.
  • FIG. 4 is a perspective view suggesting a third application of the baby carrying device of FIG. 1.
  • FIG. 5 is a perspective view suggesting a fourth application of the baby carrying device of FIG. 1.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
  • The following descriptions are exemplary embodiments only, and are not intended to limit the scope, applicability or configuration of the invention in any way. Rather, the following description provides a convenient illustration for implementing exemplary embodiments of the invention. Various changes to the described embodiments may be made in the function and arrangement of the elements described without departing from the scope of the invention as set forth in the appended claims.
  • As shown in FIG. 1, a multi-functional baby carrying device according to an embodiment of the present invention mainly contains a seat pad 12 and a length-adjustable main webbing 11 whose two ends are fixedly connected to a left side and a right side of the seat pad 12, respectively. The seat pad 12 has a hard and flat top side 121 for the baby to sit or stand on. Aback security strap 13 is laterally provided substantially parallel to and appropriately above a back side of the seat pad 12. The two ends of the back security strap 13 are fixedly stitched to a left end section and a right end section of the main webbing 11, respectively. A back webbing 131 is vertically provided between the back security strap 13 and the seat pad 12 so as to partition the space between the back security strap 13 and the seat pad 12 into two through areas 132 of substantially equal size.
  • Correspondingly, a length-adjustable front security strap 14 is laterally provided substantially parallel to and appropriately above a front side of the seat pad 12. The two ends of the front security strap 14 are removably connected to the left end section and the right end section of the main webbing 11 by buckles 141, respectively. A font webbing 143 is vertically provided between the front security strap 14 and the seat pad 12 so as to partition the space between the front security strap 14 and the seat pad 12 into two through areas 144 of substantially equal size. As described, the back and front security straps 13 and 14 surround a space above the seat pad 12, and the space is for the accommodation of the baby.
  • A flexible and length-adjustable auxiliary webbing 15 is provided between a left middle section and a right middle section of the main webbing 11. The two ends of the auxiliary webbing 15 are removably connected to the main webbing 11 by buckles 151, respectively.
  • On the left or right side of the seat pad 12, there are a bag 16 for a cellular phone (not shown), a ring 17 for chaining keys, and another bag 18 for feeding bottle or bottled water. On a bottom side of the seat pad 12, a number of compartments 122 are provided for the storage of diapers, clothes, milk powder, snacks, etc.
  • The main webbing 11, the auxiliary webbing 15, and the front security strap 14 can all be adjusted for appropriate lengths to suit a user's particular posture and comfort.
  • To use the baby carrying device, a user slips the main webbing 11 around the back of his or her neck and has the seat pad 12 located in front of the abdomen. Alternatively, a user can slip the main webbing 11 around one of his or her shoulder and has the seat pad 12 located around his or her waist. As suggested by FIG. 2, a baby (not shown) can sit on the top side 121 of the seat pad 12, facing the user with his or her legs stretching though the areas 132, respectively.
  • As suggested by FIG. 3, alternatively, a baby (not shown) can sit on the top side 121 of the seat pad 12, facing away from the user with his or her legs stretching though the areas 144, respectively.
  • Additionally, as suggested by FIG. 4, a baby (not shown) can sit on the top side 121 of the seat pad 12, facing to the left or the right of the user with one leg stretching though the area 144 and another leg through the area 132, respectively.
  • Further more, as suggested by FIG. 5, a baby (not shown) can be held and stand on the top side 121 of the seat pad 12.
  • It will be understood that each of the elements described above, or two or more together may also find a useful application in other types of methods differing from the type described above.
  • While certain novel features of this invention have been shown and described and are pointed out in the annexed claim, it is not intended to be limited to the details above, since it will be understood that various omissions, modifications, substitutions and changes in the forms and details of the device illustrated and in its operation can be made by those skilled in the art without departing in any way from the spirit of the present invention.
