Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • 1. Field of the Invention
  • The present invention relates generally to a portable drip bottle/bag stand carriage strap. A patient can wear the carriage strap to carry the drip bottle/bag stand with him/her to avoid backflow of blood.
  • 2. Description of the Related Art
  • When performing intravenous infusion for a patient, it often takes place that the patient needs to go to the bathroom or leave the hospital bed. At this time, the patient or a relative of the patient needs to hold the drip bottle/bag stand with one hand and push a wheelchair or do some other things with the other hand. Especially, when going to the bathroom with the drip bottle/bag stand, the patient will feel very inconvenient and troublesome. Therefore, the hospital often provides the patient with a movable drip bottle/bag stand (as shown in FIG. 1). The drip bottle/bag can be hung on the hanging hook of the movable drip bottle/bag stand to free the patient's hand. However, when using the toilet, the patient will still feel quite inconvenient. Moreover, when hung on the hanging hook of the conventional drip bottle/bag stand, it is hard to keep the level of the infusion fluid at a higher level. As a result, backflow of blood often takes place due to interruption of the intravenous infusion. This is quite dangerous to the patient.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • It is therefore a primary object of the present invention to provide a portable drip bottle/bag stand carriage strap including a drip bottle/bag stand and a fabric sling. A patient or a relative of the patient can insert the pole of the drip bottle/bag stand into a rear side, a left side or a right side of the fabric sling and wear the carriage strap to carry the drip bottle/bag stand with him/her. With the portable drip bottle/bag stand carriage strap, the level of the infusion fluid can keep at a higher level to avoid backflow of blood.
  • To achieve the above and other objects, the portable drip bottle/bag stand carriage strap of the present invention includes a fabric sling and a support jacket connected with the fabric sling. The fabric sling includes two shoulder straps and a waist strap. The rear sides of the shoulder straps are interconnected by two transverse connection straps in the form of Chinese character
    Figure US20120228344A1-20120913-P00001
    . An adjustment strap is transversely connected between the two shoulder straps, whereby a user can quickly wear the carriage strap on his/her body with better carriage force. The support jacket is fixedly connected with outer face of the rear side of one of the shoulder straps. A support plate is enclosed in the rear side of the shoulder strap to support and keep the support jacket in an erect state. The pole of the drip bottle/bag stand is securely fitted in the support jacket in an erect state.
  • The support plate has a locating seat at its bottom end. The locating seat is formed with a rectangular socket. The pole of the drip bottle/bag stand has a rectangular bottom end, which is securely fitted in the rectangular socket without freely rotating to overcome the problem of rotation of the circular pole of the conventional drip bottle/bag stand.
  • The present invention can be best understood through the following description and accompanying drawings, wherein:
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing a conventional movable drip bottle/bag stand;
  • FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the portable drip bottle/bag stand carriage strap of the present invention;
  • FIG. 3 is a rear view showing that a patient wears the portable drip bottle/bag stand carriage strap of the present invention;
  • FIG. 4 is a perspective view showing the support jacket of the portable drip bottle/bag stand carriage strap of the present invention; and
  • FIG. 5 is a front view showing that a patient wears the portable drip bottle/bag stand carriage strap of the present invention.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
  • Please refer to FIG. 2. The portable drip bottle/bag stand carriage strap of the present invention includes a fabric sling 1 and a drip bottle/bag stand 3. The fabric sling 1 includes a waist strap 10 and two shoulder straps 11, 12. The waist strap 10 has two strap bodies 100, 101. An adjustment buckle 102 is disposed on rear side of the waist strap 10 for adjusting circumferential length of the waist strap 10. A fastener buckle 103 is disposed on front side of the waist strap 10 for connecting the two strap bodies 100, 101 with each other. The two shoulder straps 11, 12 are fixedly connected with the rear side of the waist strap 10 and surroundingly extend in the form of loops. Each shoulder strap 11, 12 is provided with a soft shoulder protection pad 13, 14 on upper side for a wearer to have more comfortable feeling when wearing the portable drip bottle/bag stand carriage strap on his/her shoulders. Each shoulder strap 11, 12 is further provided with an adjustment buckle 130 and a fastener buckle 131 for adjusting the length of front side of the shoulder strap 11, 12. In addition, two connection straps 15, 16 respectively transversely extend from the shoulder straps 11, 12. The connection straps 15, 16 are connected with each other by means of a fastener buckle 17 to connect the two shoulder straps 11, 12 with each other. Accordingly, a user can securely wear the shoulder straps 11, 12 without slippage from the shoulders. In addition, an adjustment strap 18 transversely extends between the rear sides of the two shoulder straps 11, 12 to connect the two shoulder straps 11, 12 with each other. The adjustment strap 18 is provided with an adjustment buckle 180 for adjusting the length. In addition, a reinforcement fabric sheet 19 is fixedly connected between the rear lower sides of the shoulder straps 11, 12 and the waist strap 10 to provide better support force for the carriage strap.
  • Moreover, a support jacket 2 is fixedly connected with the rear side of the shoulder strap 11 (as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4). The support jacket 2 has several pocket sections 20 and fastener straps 21 for enclosing and fastening a pole 30 of the drip bottle/bag stand 3. A support plate 22 is enclosed in the shoulder strap 11 (as shown in FIG. 4) to increase the strength of the shoulder strap 11. The support plate 22 has locating seat 221 at its bottom end. The locating seat 221 is formed with a rectangular socket 220 in which the pole 30 of the drip bottle/bag stand 3 is securely fitted without rotating. The support faces of the rear sides of the shoulder straps 11, 12 and the support plate 22 serve to provide support force to securely connect the drip bottle/bag stand 3 with the carriage strap and support the drip bottle/bag stand 3. Accordingly, a patient can wear the carriage strap to carry the drip bottle/bag stand 3 with him/her without affecting the activities of the patient (as shown in FIG. 5).
  • The above embodiment is only used to illustrate the present invention, not intended to limit the scope thereof. Many modifications of the above embodiment can be made without departing from the spirit of the present invention.
