Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates to a snow remover and more particular to a snow thrower.
- 2. Description of the Related Art
- No matter what kind of the power source is provided therein, a snow thrower usually provides a basic function to remove snow on the road. A snow thrower is including a main body with a power source, a transmission and an auger therein. A control handle is provided on the main body for the convenience of operation. In normal condition, the worker will spray snow-melting agent on the road after cleaning up the accumulated snow. But, according to the operation method of present, the shoveling job and the spraying job are separated. So, the worker needs to walk on the same area twice to finish both jobs.
- The object of the present invention is to provide a snow thrower, which can shovel snow and spray snow-melting agent at a time.
- To achieve this object of the present invention, the snow thrower of present invention including: a housing with a chute thereon has a power source therein. An auger is provided on the front of the housing. A transmission is placed in the housing for transmitting the power of the power source to the auger. A handle fixes on the outside of said housing for holding. A chamber is provided in the housing for containing snow-melting agent. There is an exit on the bottom side of said chamber. A controller mounts on said handle for controlling said cover and the size of said exit. An axle pivots at the rear portion of said housing and crosses through said chamber. Each end of said axle has a wheel thereon. A stirrer mounts on said axle.

FIG. 1 is a perspective view of the present invention; -
FIG. 2 is a side section view of the present invention; -
FIG. 3 is a perspective section view of the present invention; -
FIG. 4 is an exploded view of the present invention; -
FIG. 5 is a side view with exploded parts of the present invention; - Referring to
FIG. 1 to 5 , the snow thrower of present invention including: - A
housing 10 with achute 11 thereon has apower source 12 therein. Anauger 13 is provided on the front of saidhousing 10. Atransmission 14 is placed in saidhousing 10 for transmitting the power of saidpower source 12 to saidauger 13. Ahandle 15 fixes on the outside of saidhousing 10 for holding. These structures as aforesaid are the same as prior art basically. - The improvements comprising:
- A
chamber 20 is provided in the rear of saidhousing 10 for containing snow-melting agent. There is animport 21 on the topside of saidchamber 20 and acover 22 pivots on saidhousing 10 and covers on saidimport 21. There is awindow 25 provided on saidcover 22, which is made of transparent material. There is anexit 23 on the bottom side of saidchamber 20 and acover 24 pivots on saidhousing 10 and covers on saidexit 23. - A
controller 30 mounts on saidhandle 15 for controlling saidcover 24 and the size of saidexit 23. In this embodiment of present invention, saidcontroller 30 can control saidcover 24 by awire 31, which connects with saidcover 24. There is aspring 32 placed at the front end of saidwire 31 for providing a elasticity to keep saidcover 24 covering on saidexit 23 in normal time. - An
axle 40 pivots at the rear portion of saidhousing 10 and crosses through saidchamber 20. Each end of saidaxle 40 has awheel 41 thereon. A stirrer 50 mounts on saidaxle 40. Said stirrer 50 comprises plurality ofblades 51. - By those structures as aforesaid, in operation, said
handle 15 can control the moving direction of saidhousing 10 to shovel snow as a normal snow thrower. After saidauger 13 shovels snow, saidexit 23 can be opened and adjusted by thecontroller 30 on saidhandle 13, and make said snow-melting agent can drop out from saidexit 23. Because of said stirrer 50 mounts on saidaxle 40, no extra power will be needed. When thosewheels 41 rotate, saidstirrer 50 would rotate too. Hence, the snow-melting agent will not gather in mass and can drop out from saidexit 23 smoothly. By looking through thewindow 25, the quantity of the snow-melting agent can be checked. So, the operator will know when is the time to refill the snow-melting agent. When refilling the snow-melting agent, operator only need to open thecover 22 on saidchamber 20. - According to the structures of present invention, operator can shovel snow and spray snow-melting agent at a time easily and conveniently. The work efficiency can be increased effectively.
