Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • (a) Technical Field of the Invention
  • The present invention relates to components tray, and in particular, tray for components to contain parts and components used in maintenance of vehicles or other mechanical devices. The tray adheres attracts or any components which are magnetic
  • (b) Description of the Prior Art
  • In maintenance of vehicles or other mechanical devices, components that taken down or removed from a vehicle for maintenance are not properly kept or arranged. These parts or components generally include nuts, screws, seals, packs, bore . . . etc. This will cause a mess in the working environment, and these parts may be lost in the course of maintenance.
  • As shown in FIG. 1, there is a conventional component tray 1 for used in vehicle maintenance. The tray 1 has a body 11 having a bottom section 111 with an external edge for mounting of a magnet 12. Thus the bottom 112 of the body 11 is a magnetic and in the course of maintenance of vehicles, the tray 1 adheres the unfastened or components that were removed from a vehicle and are kept in the tray 1. However, there are a great number of components which are non-magnetic, such as rubber seals or pads, plastic tubes, oil tubes, caps. In other words, the component tray has drawbacks for not able to hold all components from the vehicle which cause inconvenience to users.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The primary purpose of the present invention is to provide a tray for containing small components, having a tray body with a bottom end mounted with a magnet characterized in that the circumferential edge of the tray body is mounted with a securing module having an engaging slot which urgingly engages with the edge of the tray body, and the securing module is provided with a center shaft for the through-mounting of the tray having a recess.
  • Yet still another object of the present invention is to provide a tray for components, wherein the tray is provided with an engaging slot such that in application the tray urgingly engages the edge of the tray body as support.
  • Still a further object of the present invention is to provide a tray for components, wherein the perimeter of the securing module is larger than the radius of the tray body.
  • A further object of the present invention is to provide a tray for components, wherein the securing module is made from elastic material.
  • Yet a further object of the present invention is to provide a tray for components, wherein the tray is of rectangular shape or a square.
  • The foregoing object and summary provide only a brief introduction to the present invention. To fully appreciate these and other objects of the present invention as well as the invention itself, all of which will become apparent to those skilled in the art, the following detailed description of the invention and the claims should be read in conjunction with the accompanying drawings. Throughout the specification and drawings identical reference numerals refer to identical or similar parts.
  • Many other advantages and features of the present invention will become manifest to those versed in the art upon making reference to the detailed description and the accompanying sheets of drawings in which a preferred structural embodiment incorporating the principles of the present invention is shown by way of illustrative example.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 is a perspective exploded view of a conventional component tray.
  • FIG. 2 is a perspective view of a tray for containing components in accordance with the present invention.
  • FIG. 3 is a perspective exploded view of a tray for containing components in accordance with the present invention.
  • FIG. 4 is a schematic view of a preferred embodiment of the present invention.
  • FIG. 5 is a schematic view showing retraction of the preferred embodiment of the present invention.
  • FIG. 6 is a schematic view showing another preferred embodiment of the present invention.
  • FIG. 7 is a perspective exploded view of FIG. 6 in accordance with the present invention.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
  • The following descriptions are of exemplary embodiments only, and are not intended to limit the scope, applicability or configuration of the invention in any way. Rather, the following description provides a convenient illustration for implementing exemplary embodiments of the invention. Various changes to the described embodiments may be made in the function and arrangement of the elements described without departing from the scope of the invention as set forth in the appended claims.
  • Referring to FIGS. 2 and 3, there is shown a tray for containing or holding components or parts, which are removed from or unloaded from vehicles or other mechanical devices. The tray 2 has a tray body 21 having a bottom end being mounted with a magnet 22 such that the tray bottom 23 of the body 21 is magnetic. The edge 211 of the body 21 is mounted with a securing module 3 and the securing module 3 is provided with an engaging slot 31 which could urgingly engage with the edge 211 of the body 21. The securing module 3 has a center shaft 32 which has a through hole 42 at a recess 41 of the tray 4 to be mounted thereon. Further, the tray 41 is provided with an engaging slot 43.
  • The engaging slot 31 of the securing module 3 is mounted onto the edge 211 of the body 21. The perimeter of the length of the edge of the securing module 3 is larger than the radius of the edge of the body 21 and the securing module 3 is made from elastic material (such as plastic material). Thus, the mounted securing module 3 is urgingly engaged with the edge of the body 21. The through hole 42 of the side tray 4 is pivotally mounted onto the center shaft 32. Referring to FIG. 4, when components or parts are placed onto the tray 2, the bottom section of the tray 2 is adhered or attracted to any part of the vehicle which has magnetic, and the magnet 22 attracts to the magnetic part of the vehicle. The unscrewed or unloaded components from the vehicle or mechanical parts (which do not have magnetism) is contained at the recess 41 of side the tray 4. At this instance, the engaging slot 43 urges the edge 211 of the tray 2. Thus, the unmagnetic components can also be contained without falling, and all the components or parts are gathered together. Accordingly, the components will not lost for misplacement. When the tray 2 is not in use, as shown in FIG. 5, it could be retracted for convenient storage.
  • As shown in FIGS. 6 and 7, there are shown perspective view of another preferred embodiment in accordance with the present invention. The body 21 of the tray 2 can be made into a rectangular shape and the bottom of the rectangular tray body 21 is provided with one or two magnet 22 for better securing of the tray 2 onto any magnetic part of a vehicle. Further, the edge of the body 21 of the tray 2 is provided with a securing module 3, and the securing module 3 has an engaging slot 31 which could urgingly engage with the edge 211 of the body 21. The securing module 3 has a center shaft 32 which is used for receiving the through hole 42 provided at the two lateral sides of the side tray 4. The recess 41 of the tray 4 is provided with an engaging slot 43.
  • It will be understood that each of the elements described above, or two or more together may also find a useful application in other types of methods differing from the type described above.
  • While certain novel features of this invention have been shown and described and are pointed out in the annexed claim, it is not intended to be limited to the details above, since it will be understood that various omissions, modifications, substitutions and changes in the forms and details of the device illustrated and in its operation can be made by those skilled in the art without departing in any way from the spirit of the present invention.
