Description

    FIELD OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to grinding machines using a universal joint bearing, more particular to a grinding machine capable of integrating a plurality of servo-motors, whereby a ball-track grinding and a cylindrical grinding will be going simultaneously, and therefore a work piece can be accomplished in a short period of time.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • Grinding machines have become a main stream technology of manufacturing industry. But a conventional grinding machine can perform one working procedure at a time. The time consumption of replacing work pieces frequently does not only increase production cost but also the fault rate. Further, to allow more grinding procedures, grinding machines of different types will take a significant portion of factory space.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • A grinding machine having a universal joint bearing integrates a variety of linear grinding tracks, R+ linear tracks, full-R tracks and outer R working method, whereby a ball-track grinding and a cylindrical grinding will be going simultaneously, and therefore a work piece can be accomplished in a short period of time.
  • The various objects and advantages of the present invention will be more readily understood from the following detailed description when read in conjunction with the appended drawings.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a grinding machine having a universal joint bearing of the present invention.
  • FIG. 2 is another perspective view of a grinding machine having a universal joint bearing of the present invention.
  • FIG. 3 shows the control module for the main shaft of the grinding machine having a universal joint bearing in FIG. 1.

The movable-mount module further comprises a plurality of movable mounts, each having at least an upper slide slab and a lower slide slab. Each of the lower slide slabs has at least a pair of sliding grooves, and each of the upper slide slabs has a corresponding number of sliding rails; the sliding grooves and the sliding rails are slidably coupled with each other. A lateral movable mount 4 of the movable-mount module further includes a sliding element 4′.
  • The universal-joint module consists of a plurality of servo-motors, each being installed on a lateral side of a corresponding one of the servo-motors. One end of each of the servo-motors is provided with a universal-joint bearing T.

  • The grinding-wheel module 10 further comprises a grinder main-shaft motor 11, a high-speed shaft mount 12, a grinder belt 14 and a disk-grinder unit 13. The high-speed shaft mount 12 is mounted on a Z1 movable mount 6.
  • The milling-stone module is connected to the mount control module 30 and the sliding element 4′ of the lateral movable mount 4 of the movable-mount module 1. An X3-axis servo-motor 212 is connected to one side of the sliding element 4′. The disk-grinder unit 13 is installed between the S movable mount 7 and a connecting unit 43 of the milling-stone module 40.
  • The movable-mount module further includes a primary movable mount 2 provided with a milling-stone module, a grinding-wheel module 10 and an X1-axis servo-motor 210 aside the primary movable mount 2, a secondary movable mount 3 provided with a lateral X2-axis servo-motor 211, the lateral mount 4 connected to the primary movable mount and provided with the sliding element 4′ and the milling-stone module 40, a Z movable mount 5 mounted on the upper slide slab 3A of the secondary movable mount 3 and provided with a Z-axis servo-motor 22, the Z1 movable mount 6 provided with the Z1-axis servo-motor 23 sandwiching the Z movable mount 5 with the secondary movable mount 3 and the S movable mount 7 embedded within the mount control module 30 and having the lateral S-axis servo-motor 24.
  • The universal-joint module 30 further includes an X-axis servo-motor set; the X-axis servo-motor set having a terminal universal joint bearing T, the X1-axis servo-motor 210 aside the primary movable mount 2, the X2-axis servo-motor 211 aside the secondary movable mount 3 and the X3-axis servo-motor 212 aside the sliding element 4′ of the lateral movable mount 4, the Z-axis servo-motor 22 with a terminal universal joint bearing T aside the Z movable mount 5, a Z1-axis servo-motor 23 with a terminal universal joint bearing T aside the Z1 movable mount 6, the S-axis servo-motor 24 with a terminal universal joint bearing T aside the S movable mount T, a C-axis servo-motor 25 with a terminal universal joint bearing T mounted on the upper slide slab 7A of the. S movable mount 7, and a spindle-grinder sharpener 26 mounted on the high-speed shaft mount 12 with a terminal universal joint bearing T.
  • Referring to FIG. 4, when the work piece 500 is mounted on the work-piece mount 50 for being worked on, the C-axis servo-motor 25 is for causing a rotation of the work-piece mount 50 in either clockwise or counter-clockwise direction. The S-axis servo-motor is for controlling the relative sliding motion between the upper slide slab 7A and the lower slide slab 7B of the S movable mount 7, causing a horizontal shift of the work piece 500. The disk-grinder unit 13 on one side of the work piece 500 is drifted either toward or away from the work piece 500 driven by the relative sliding motion between the upper slide slab 2A and the lower slide slab 2B of the primary movable mount 2, which is in turn driven by the X1-axis servo-motor 210. The milling-stone module is installed aside the disk-grinder unit 13, whereby the milling-stone sharpener 432 can move either toward or away from the disk grinder 1302, achieving the effect of sharpening the disk grinder 1302. The high-speed shaft mount 12 on the other side of the work piece 500 drives the spindle 121 and therefore the spindle grinder 1211 to do clockwise or counter-clockwise rotation, through the spindle-grinder sharpener 26. The high-speed shaft mount 12 is mounted on the Z1 movable mount 6, and the Z1 movable mount 6 is in turn mounted on the Z movable mount 5. The Z1-axis servo-motor 23 drives the horizontal shift of the high-speed shaft mount 12. The Z-axis servo-motor 22 on one side of the Z movable mount 5 drives the horizontal shift of the Z1 movable mount 6. The overlapped structure of the Z1 movable mount 6 and the Z movable mount 5 is for precisely adjusting the horizontal extension and for working with precision. The bottom of the Z movable mount 5 is connected with a secondary movable mount 3, which uses the X-axis servo-motor 21 to drive a longitudinal shift of the high-speed shaft mount 12.
  • Referring to FIG. 5, the S movable mount 7 at the bottom edge of the work piece 500 is embedded within the mount control module 30; the mount control module 30 further includes a base shaft 31 provided with a terminal worm wheel 32. A first side of the worm wheel 32 is provided with a bearing-ball spindle 33 for adjusting the turning angle of the base shaft 31. A second side of the worm wheel 32 is provided with a base-shaft servo-motor 34 for driving the rotation of the base shaft 31. Thereby, the bearing-ball spindle 33 can be tilted to urge the worm wheel 32 and consequently the base shaft 31, which in turn controls the longitudinal swing of the work piece 500, resulting in being worked on from many angles.
  • The advantage of the present invention is that a ball-track grinding and a cylindrical grinding will be going simultaneously. Therefore, not only the working time is shortened, but also the duration of the work piece is lengthened.
  • The present invention is thus described, and it will be obvious that the same may be varied in many ways. Such variations are not to be regarded as a departure from the spirit and scope of the present invention, and all such modifications as would be obvious to one skilled in the art are intended to be included within the scope of the following claims.
