Abstract
A paper-box handle structure includes a folding region having an opening and a handling region integrally formed with the folding region. The handling region comprises a cantilevered part passing through the opening of the folding region to form a handle.
Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The invention relates to a paper-box handle structure, and more particularly to an integrally formed paper-box handle structure.
- 2. Description of the Related Art
- In
FIG. 1 , aconventional handle structure 10 comprises ahandling element 1 and afixed element 2. Thehandling element 1 comprises aholding portion 11 and tworectangular positioning portions 12 formed at two ends of theholding portion 11, respectively. Thefixed element 2 comprises tworectangular openings 21 corresponding to thepositioning portions 12 of thehandling element 1. The long side length of thepositioning portion 12 is greater than the short side length of theopenings 21 of thefixed element 2. - In
FIG. 2 , a plate b20 of a paper box B is provided with two holes (not shown in Figs.) corresponding to therectangular openings 21 of thefixed element 2. Thehandling element 1 and thefixed element 2 of thehandle structure 10 are installed on the paper box B by insertingrectangular openings 21 offixed element 2 by into corresponding holes in the bottom of plate b20 of paper box B. The positioningportions 12 of thehandling element 1 are plugged sequentially into the holes of the plate b20 of the paper box B and therectangular openings 21 of thefixed element 2. When the positioningportions 12 of thehandling element 1 fully pass through the holes of the plate b20 of the paper box B and therectangular openings 21 of thefixed element 2, the long side of thepositioning portions 12 of thehandling element 1 are substantially perpendicular to the long sides of therectangular openings 21 of thefixed element 2, thus, thehandling element 1 is securely engaged to the plate b20 of the paper box B. By holding theholding portion 11 of thehandling element 1, the paper box B can be easily moved. - The
handling element 1 and thefixed element 2 are two individual elements, thus, reducing material costs and assembly time is difficult. Precision and tolerance of thehandling element 1 and thefixed element 2 must also be considered. - An integrally formed, single source material paper-box handle structure capable of being rapidly assembled is provided. An exemplary embodiment of a paper-box handle structure comprises a folding region having an opening and a handling region integrally formed with the folding region. The handling region comprises a cantilevered part passing through the opening of the folding region to form a handle. The paper-box hand structure further comprises a folding line next to the folding region.
- The handling region further comprises a first body. The cantilevered part comprises a fixed end securely connected to the first body and a free end formed with an engaging portion, thus, the free end formed with the engaging portion is engaged in the opening of the folding region.
- The opening of the folding region comprises a first width and the engaging portion of the free end comprises a second width greater than the first width, thus, the engagement of the free end of the cantilevered part is limited by the opening of the folding region when the free end of the cantilevered part passes through the opening of the folding region.
- The paper-box handle structure can comprise plastic.
- A detailed description is given in the following embodiments with reference to the accompanying drawings.
- The invention can be more fully understood by reading the subsequent detailed description and examples with references made to the accompanying drawings, wherein:
-
FIG. 1 is a schematic view of a conventional handle structure; -
FIG. 2 is a schematic view of the conventional handle structure disposed on a plate of a paper box; -
FIG. 3 is a schematic view of a paper-box handle structure of the invention; and -
FIG. 4 is a schematic view of the paper-box handle structure disposed on a plate of a paper box. - The following description is of the best-contemplated mode of carrying out the invention. This description is made for the purpose of illustrating the general principles of the invention and should not be taken in a limiting sense. The scope of the invention is best determined by reference to the appended claims.
- In
FIG. 3 , a paper-box hand structure 100 comprises ahandling region 30, afolding region 40 and afolding line 50 disposed next to thefolding region 40. Thefolding region 40 comprises alongitudinal opening 41 formed along the X direction of an X-Y coordinate system. The handlingregion 30, integrally formed withfolding region 40, comprises afirst body 300 and acantilevered part 30 c cut from thefirst body 300 along atrim line 301. Thecantilevered part 30 c is centrally formed on thefirst body 300 When thecantilevered part 30 c is formed and removed, ahole 301 h is formed on thefirst body 300. The paper-box handle structure 100 comprises plastic or other flexible materials. - The
cantilevered part 30 c comprises a fixedend 33 securely connected to thefirst body 300, afree end 31 formed with anengaging portion 34, and amiddle portion 32 formed between thefree end 31 and the fixedend 33. With respect to Y direction of a coordinate system X-Y, the opening 41 of thefolding region 40 comprises a first width d1 and theengaging portion 34 of thefree end 31 comprises a second width d2 greater than the first width d1. - In
FIG. 4 , when thefolding region 40 folded along thefolding line 50 is attached to one side of thefirst body 300 of thehandling region 30, thefree end 31 of thecantilevered part 30 c sequentially passes through thehole 301 h of thefirst body 300 and the opening 41 of thefolding region 40, thus, theengaging portion 34 of thefree end 31 of thecantilevered part 30 c is engaged to the opening 41 of thefolding region 40 to form ahandle 100′. When the paper-box handle structure 100 is disposed on a plate b20 of a paper box B, themiddle portion 32 is pulled through a hole (not shown in Figs.) of the plate b20 of a paper box B. - Due to the size difference between the opening 41 of the
folding region 40 and theengaging portion 34 of thecantilevered part 30 c, thefree end 31 of thecantilevered part 30 c is limitedly engaged to the opening 41 of thefolding region 40 when thefree end 31 of thecantilevered part 30 c passes through the opening 41 of thefolding region 40. Thus, paper box B is carried by holding themiddle portion 32 of thecantilevered part 30 c. - Based on the described features, the paper-
box handle structure 100 of the embodiment is directly formed by a single plate and capable of rapid assembly on a production line, thus, material costs are reduced, and the assembly process is simplified. - While the invention has been described by way of example and in terms of the preferred embodiments, it is to be understood that the invention is not limited to the disclosed embodiments. To the contrary, it is intended to cover various modifications and similar arrangements (as would be apparent to those skilled in the art). Therefore, the scope of the appended claims should be accorded the broadest interpretation so as to encompass all such modifications and similar arrangements.
