Figure 2 is a sectional invention.
Figure 3 is enlarged plan view oi aportion vision ota tection and posed 'so that the box may be usedwith or without'compartments. The box is provided with a transparent covering. This transparent covering may be c! any suitable nature, such as of viscose or cellulose acetate and more particularly of a material sold under the Cellophane. The transparent sheet is well secured to the box so as to be thereto and to act in the nature of a hinged cover. Upon the sheet are provided indicia or other table indicating. means-such as iegendaor a prospective purchaser canor impossible to choose and dislikes inconnection with of candy the package in "a sealed by strong adhesive'or the like.

More particularly referring new to the drawins, aboxor tray l is provided with a bottom member 2, which may be formed integral with the bottom of the box I or separately as shown in Figure 2.
transverse raised portions 3, forming be seen by refer- Within the compartments are placed confections 5, seated in the usual paper'cups 6. It is to be understood, of course,
that thepaper cups neednot be used unless (16-? sired.

It is-to be understood, of course, that any suitable means for holding the candles in position may be employed. For example, the cups 6 may be secured to the bottom of the box by means of an adhesive or the like so that the paper cups will serve to hold the candies in predetermined position.
It will be seen that I have accomplished the objects of my invention. I have provided a novel and handy package which will enable the contents of a box of candy to be inspected before its purchase, a thing hitherto not at the same time, protecting the candy. The indicating means enables a consumer to choose his favorite piece.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim is:
1. In a package of confections, a receptacle, 8. cover for said receptacle formed of transparent flexible material, assorted confections each held in a relatively fixed location in said receptacle possible, .while,-
and indicia on said cover for indicating each of the species of confection positioned beneath said indicia within the receptacle, and means for securing one edge of said cover to said receptacle whereby it acts in the nature of a hinged cover.
2. In a package oi confections, a receptacle, a cover for said receptacle having a transparent face said cover constructed for removing and replacement, assorted confections held in a substantially fixed location beneath said transparent cover, indicia on the cover adjacent said confections and identifying by location the character of the same.
