- The present invention is related to a chessboard and particularly to a chessboard device with auto-electronic scoring, in which at least a display component is provided to generate at least a light, a color and a figure by means of an induction switch being pressed, touched or felt for the central processing unit (CPU) of a microcomputer capable of distinguishing electric signals produced by the induction switch device, such that scores of the players can be calculated and the winner and the loser can be figured out by the CPU. At least a light-transmittable component is placed on top of the display component for identification of each user can be identified by means of light points, quantity of the light, colors of the light or figures on the surface of the light-transmittable component. Hence, the chessboard game can be scored automatically in company with light, voice, music, light emitting diode (LED), liquid crystal display (LCD), backlight LCD, backlight board, liquid crystal screen or the like to not only enhance fun for the players but also promote fairness and justices.
- 2. Brief Description of the Related Art
- The traditional chessboard is usually made of wood, plastics or paper. But, many shortcomings reside in the traditional chessboard and the shortcomings are summarized in the following:
- 1. The most serious problem of the traditional chessboard is that if it is eaten by the children carelessly, it threatens their lives tremendously.
- 2. The chesses are easy to get lost. Generally, there are several tens chesses for being played with a chessboard. If one of the chesses is lost, complicity of the game with the chesses is affected and, even more, the chessboard game is unable to play unless a new set of chessboard is used instead. However, it is wasteful because the used set of chessboard has to be disregarded.
- 3. The conventional chessboard offers one playing function only. If multiple functions are arranged to the chessboard, size and weight of the entire chessboard must increase to occupy larger space and it results in problem of storage.
- 4. Although the paper chessboard can be carried easily, it is liable to become damage due to being folded all the time and to result in the users being loss of interest too. Further, it is unable to obtain economic benefit effectively under this circumference.
- 5. The traditional chessboard is movable and it is easy to conduct behavior such as cheating or regrettable action such that fairness and justice are unable to be kept during the game.
- In order to solve the preceding problems, an object of the present invention is to provide a chessboard device with auto-electronic scoring in which at least a display component is provided to show at least two colors by means of an induction switch device being touched for the CPU of a microcomputer being capable of identifying the users and changing the playing way and determining the winner and the loser in addition to enhancing entertainment of the chessboard game.
- Another object of the present invention is to provide a chessboard device with auto-electronic scoring in which a display component with at least a light-transmittable component is arranged in association with an induction switch device being touched to show light, color, figure or character in company with various automatic scoring ways done by a microcomputer such as lighting, voice, music, LED, LCD and backlight board.
- A further object of the present invention is to provide a chessboard device with auto-electronic scoring in which a light-transmittable component is arranged to be slidable for being pressed to touch at least an induction switch device such that electrical signal is produced in association with determination of the CPU of a microcomputer.
- A further object of the present invention is to provide a chessboard device with auto-electronic scoring in which at least a switch device is arranged to be adhered, attached or fixed to the chessboard with an upper and lower conductive layer switches to allow a display component showing display, color or figure, a partition is disposed between the upper and lower conductive layer switches, a plastic thin plate with light-transmittable components is on the chessboard and a touch device is arranged as the induction switch to perform function of electrical connection as well.
- Accordingly, the chessboard device with auto-electronic scoring of the present invention has the following features:
- 1. The light-transmittable component is slidable and is able to be pressed to touch the induction switch device such that electrical signal can be generated for operating the chessboard.
- 2. The light-transmittable component is surrounded with at least a press key for being pressed to touch the touch device such that electrical signal can be generated to operate the chessboard.
- 3. The plastic thin plate is integrally provided with the induction switch device with the upper and lower conductive layers such that the display component can show display function by means of the upper conductive layer being pressed to induce the lower conductive layer.
- 4. The plastic thin plate is integrally provided with the light-transmittable component and the light-transmittable component is formed with an induction switch device being composed of an upper and lower conductive layer such that the display component can show display function by means of the upper conductive layer being pressed to induce the lower conductive layer.

The display component can be associated with the touch device even if no light-transmittable component is provided such that the display is capable of emitting light with at least one color or at least one working display component and the user can be identified. In this way, the CPU is capable of determining and outputting different game effects of the chess playing.
- 5. The structure and principle of the conventional induction switch device can be applied in the auto-electronic scoring chessboard of the present invention.
- 6. The structures of light-transmittable component and the touch device can be designed and changed to meet specific needs.
- 7. The surface of the light-transmittable component can be printed with various figures to meet needs of the game and to accommodate design changes.
- While the invention has been described with referencing to preferred embodiments thereof, it is to be understood that modifications or variations may be easily made without departing from the spirit of this invention, which is defined by the appended claims.
