Abstract
A carpet includes a mat body of a certain thickness and a plurality of pseudo-hole members. The mat body has its surface provided with a ballgame design such as a golf course, a billiard table, a bowling course, a cricket ground, a croquet ground, a football ground, etc. The pseudo-hole members are immovably or movably positioned on the ballgame design, and the surface of the mat body and the pseudo-hole members have height difference so that the carpet can be used as a real carpet to be treaded upon, and also used as a mini-ballgame ground or course to boost its function for a family.
Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- This invention relates to a carpet, particularly to one provided with a ballgame design on its surface, a plurality of pseudo-holes members movably or immovably positioned at proper locations, so the carpet can be not only used a true carpet possible to be treaded on but also used as a mini ballgame ground.
- 2. Description of the Prior Art
- Carpets are commonly used in many homes, placed on a wooden or stone floor, having diverse functions according to the locations where they are accommodated. If it is positioned at an entrance, it can remove dirt attached on a shoe bottom, and if it is used in a bathroom, it can prevent a person from sliding and falling down. When a large carpet is used in a center portion of a guestroom, it can keep warm, function as a decoration and beautify the guestroom.
- Moreover, carpets can also be printed, woven with patterns or decorative designs for requirements of diverse consumers, even a cartoon or a logo of a company can be used on it. Then here is another idea for carpets.
- A purpose of the invention is to offer a carpet, which is provided with a design of a pseudo-ballgame as a mini-ground for a kind of ballgame.
- The feature of the invention is a mat body with a certain thickness, and a plurality of pseudo-hole members movably or immovably positioned on the mat body, which has a ballgame design on its surface, Then there is a height different between the pseudo-hole members and the mat surface so a ball (or balls) can roll around on the mat for playing diverse ballgames
- This invention will be better understood by referring to the accompanying drawings, wherein:
-
FIG. 1 is an upper view of a first embodiment of a carpet in the present invention; -
FIG. 2 is a perspective view of a pseudo-hole member in the first embodiment of a carpet in the present invention; and, -
FIG. 3 is a perspective view of a second embodiment of a carpet in the present invention. - A first embodiment of a carpet in the present invention, as shown in
FIGS. 1 and 2 , includes amat body 1, and a plurality ofpseudo-hole members 2. - The
mat body 1 has a surface provided with aballgame design 3, and thepseudo-hole members 2 are positioned properly on theballgame design 3 immovably or movably. Further, there is a height difference between thepseudo-hole members 2 and the surface of themat body 1 so that when a ball (or balls) rolls around on themat 1, the height difference can hamper the ball from entering one of thepseudo-hole members 2 in playing the ballgame. - The first embodiment of a carpet is used for playing mini-golf, as the
ballgame design 3 is a elevation view of a golf course, consisting ofgreens 31,lakes 32,bunkers 33,woods 34, etc. Thepseudo-hole members 2 are shaped as a ring with an opening 21, or maybe shaped as a horseshoe, with aninsert hole 22 provided for an indicatingmember 23 to insert therein. The indicatingmember 23 may be a flag with anumber 231 for identifying from each other. After the indicatingmember 23 is inserted in theinsert hole 22, thepseudo-hole member 2 is placed properly on theballgame design 3, as a symbol of a virtual golf hole, and a mini-golf game can be played on the carpet. - Next,
FIG. 3 shows a second embodiment of a carpet in the present invention, wherein is provided with amat body 4, a plurality of pseudo-pockets 5, and aballgame design 6 of a mini-billiard. Themini-billiard design 6 is formed with aframe 61 and a plurality ofpockets 62 properly located at the inner corners and each inner intermediate points of theframe 61. Themat body 4 have itsframe 61 made of different material 7 and having a little higher than the mat surface to function as a real billiard frame, and the different material 7 may be plastic or rubber, having a function of slide-prevention, Thepseudo-pocket members 5 are located at the inner corners of theframe 4 and at the inner intermediate points of theframe 4, just as the locations of thepockets 62, which are dug in themat body 4 or formed by the projecting shape of the different material 7. Thenballs 81 are placed on themat body 4, pushed or stricken by acue 82 in playing the billiard. - Moreover, the carpet in the invention can be made as a pseudo-golf course or a billiard table, it can also be made as a mini-bowling course, a mini-hockey ground, a mini-football ground, a croquet ground, etc. applicable to many kinds of games.
- The carpet in the invention has an advantage of a common carpet possible to be treaded on as a real carpet and also be used as a mini-ballgame ground or table for children or grownups to play in the home.
- While the preferred embodiments of the invention have been described above, it will be recognized and understood that various modifications may be made therein and the appended claims are intended to cover all such modifications that may fall within the spirit and scope of the invention.
