The body has a striking surface, and the elastic weighted part is fixed in the body, so as to have both vibration absorption effect and weighting effect, thereby effectively increasing the overall vibration absorption effect of the golf club head, increasing the additional value of the golf club head, and providing users with diversified selectivity and convenience, which are different from that of the conventional golf club head.
Description
- This non-provisional application claims priority under 35 U.S.C. § 119(a) on Patent Application No(s). 094221318 filed in Taiwan, R.O.C. on Dec. 7, 2005, the entire contents of which are hereby incorporated by reference.
- 1. Field of Invention
- The present invention relates to a golf club head structure, and more particularly, to a golf club head with an elastic weighted part, which has both a vibration absorption structure and a weighted structure.
- 2. Related Art
- Recently, considering the worldwide requirements for the golf products, not only the whole appearance is required to be novel and variable, but the functional requirement is also indispensable. In other words, in the golf products, the functional design of the golf club head is most important. Therefore, the golf club head in the golf products has been developed from the solid club head without a back cavity design to the club head with the back cavity design, and then developed to embedding a vibration absorption material at the peripheral edge of the back cavity of the club head. Definitely, the above club head with a vibration absorption function aims at achieving the most preferred structural design and material benefit of the club head and enhancing the quality of the club head and the striking effect, so as to achieve a more desirable state.
- However, although the elastic intermediate disposed between the striking plate and the club head body has the vibration absorption function, it is mostly made of rubber material, so that it is easily damaged after being impacted several times for striking the ball. In addition, since the elastic intermediate is mostly made of the rubber material, it is impossible to achieve the weighting effect, that is, it is impossible to achieve both the vibration absorption effect and the weighting effect. Furthermore, in the conventional art, the rubber material added with tungsten particles is used to achieve both the vibration absorption and the weighting functions, but this method has a gravity center shift problem occurred at the instant of striking the ball, such that it is impossible to accord with the golf sport specification of United States Golf Association (USGA), which disturbs the user.
- Therefore, the conventional golf club head structure having the elastic intermediate with the vibration absorption function has a defect of a poor structural strength, so it is a research and development issue in this field to re-design a golf club head structure with both vibration absorption and weighting effects.
- In view of the above problems of the conventional art, the present invention provides a golf club head structure, for solving the problems of the conventional golf club head that the elastic intermediate of the conventional golf club head with a vibration absorption function has a poor structural strength, and it may be damaged after being impacted several times for striking the ball, and it is impossible to achieve the weighting effect because the conventional elastic intermediate is mostly made of a rubber material, which also fails to accord with the no gravity center shift specification of the golf sport.
- In order to achieve the object, the present invention provides a golf club head with an elastic weighted part, which comprises a body and an elastic weighted part. The body has a striking surface, and the elastic weighted part is fixed in the body, thereby fabricating a golf club head with both vibration absorption and weighting effects.
- By implementing the present invention, at least the following efficacies are achieved.
- Firstly, the present invention provides a golf club head with an elastic weighted part, and by applying the golf club head with the elastic weighted part, the overall vibration absorption effect of the golf club head is effectively increased when the golf club head is used for striking the ball.
- Secondly, the present invention provides a golf club head with an elastic weighted part, and by applying the golf club head with the elastic weighted part, the vibration absorption and the weighting effects are both achieved, the additional value of the golf club head is increased, and diversified selectivity and convenience, different from that of the conventional golf club head, are provided for users.
- In order to further understand the objectives, construction features, and functions of the present invention, the detailed descriptions are given bellow through the relevant embodiments and accompanying drawings.
- Further scope of applicability of the present invention will become apparent from the detailed description given hereinafter. However, it should be understood that the detailed description and specific examples, while indicating preferred embodiments of the invention, are given by way of illustration only, since various changes and modifications within the spirit and scope of the invention will become apparent to those skilled in the art from this detailed description.
- The present invention will become more fully understood from the detailed description given herein below for illustration only, which thus is not limitative of the present invention, and wherein:
-
FIG. 1 is a schematic view of a golf club head with an elastic weighted part according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention; -
FIG. 2 is a schematic cross-sectional view of the golf club head with the elastic weighted part according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention; -
FIG. 3 is a schematic view of a golf club head with an elastic weighted part according to another preferred embodiment of the present invention; -
FIG. 4 is a schematic cross-sectional view of the golf club head with the elastic weighted part according to another preferred embodiment of the present invention; and -
FIG. 5 is a schematic view of a golf club head with an elastic weighted part according to still another preferred embodiment of the present invention. - Firstly, referring to
FIGS. 1 and 2 , the present invention provides a golf club head with an elastic weighted part, which includes abody 10 and an elastic weightedpart 20. Thebody 10 of thegolf club head 1 has a striking surface 11 on one side surface, and has arecess 121 and acavity 122 on anotherside surface 12 opposite to the striking surface 11. Thecavity 122 is formed within therecess 121. Furthermore, the elastic weightedpart 20 is fixed in thecavity 122 of thebody 10 by way of gluing or embedding, thereby achieving thegolf club head 1 with both vibration absorption and weighting effects. - Furthermore, referring to
FIGS. 3 and 4 , the present invention provides another golf club head with an elastic weighted part. Thegolf club head 1′ includes abody 10′, an elastic weightedpart 20′, and astriking plate 30′. Thebody 10′ of thegolf club head 1′ has a steplike strikingplate joining portion 121′ and arecess 122′ on oneside surface 12′. Therecess 122′ is formed in the strikingplate joining portion 121′. Furthermore, the elastic weightedpart 20′ is fixed and joined in therecess 122′ by way of gluing or embedding. Finally, thestriking plate 30′ is fixed to the strikingplate joining portion 121′, thereby finishing thegolf club head 1′ having both vibration absorption and weighting effects. Definitely, the present invention also can be applied in thegolf club head 1″ with the configuration shown inFIG. 5 . - The present invention provides a golf club head with an elastic weighted part, and the electric weighted
