Abstract

In a support installed at a security fence which includes a fence dividing a certain area into a security area and a non-security area and a cable net installed at an upper side of the fence, there is provided a support for a security fence, comprising a first part which has a length in a first direction and is fixed at the fence, with the first direction corresponding to a perpendicular direction of the fence; a second part which is extended in a second direction crossing the first direction, while getting further from the cable net; and a third part which is extended in a third direction crossing the second direction, while getting closer to the cable net.

Description

    TECHNICAL FIELD
  • The present invention relates to a security fence, and in particular to a support for a cable net in a security fence and a security fence using the same.
  • BACKGROUND ART
  • In a conventional security fence, an optical cable net is installed at a fence with a certain pattern like a zigzag pattern. The optical cable net comprises a pattern having a size substantially smaller than that of a person and a certain shape. So, an intruder cannot enter into a fence without removing the optical cable net. In other words, so as to enter into the fence, the intruder is needed to form a certain hole at the optical cable net, with the hole having a size substantially bigger than that of the intruder, by cutting or transforming the optical cable net installed at the security fence. Transforming or cutting the optical cable net allows an alarm to generate as the light transmitting the optical cable is interfered or touched.
  • FIG. 12 is a view illustrating a conventional security fence. As shown in FIG. 12, an optical cable net 301 is formed in a zigzag pattern and is installed at a fence 303. A plurality of clips 305 are adapted to fix the optical cable net 301 in a zigzag pattern.
  • The conventional security fence having the optical cable net has the following problems.
  • First, when an intruder sets a ladder against a security fence, the intruder can easily cross over the fence using the ladder without generating an alarm. Thus, the intruder does not need to transform the fence or cut the cable net so as to make a hole for entering into the fence.
  • At this time, the weight of the intruder is transferred to the ground surface while climbing the ladder. Since the ladder is set against the fence at an acute angle, only small part of the weight of the intruder is transferred to the optical cable net. Under this condition, the weight being transferring to the security fence does not allow an alarm to generate. So, the intruder can easily cross over the fence using the ladder and can enter into a security area through the security fence.
  • DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION
  • Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to overcome the above problems encountered in the conventional art.
  • It is an object of the present invention to provide a support for a cable net, and a security fence using the same, which are capable of preventing an intruder from entering into a security area through a security fence using a ladder.
  • It is another object of the present invention to provide a support for supporting a cable net, and a security fence using the same, which are capable of preventing a certain device such as a ladder from setting against a support which supports an optical cable net as installed at an upper side of a fence.
  • It is further another object of the present invention to provide a support for supporting a cable net, and a security fence using the same, which can stably support a cable net without damaging the same under a bad weather condition such as a typhoon, a hurricane, etc.
  • To achieve the above objects, in a support installed at a security fence which includes a fence dividing a certain area into a security area and a non-security area and a cable net installed at an upper side of the fence, there is provided a support for a security fence which comprises a first part which has a length in a first direction and is fixed at the fence, with the first direction corresponding to a perpendicular direction of the fence; a second part which is extended in a second direction crossing the first direction, while getting further from the cable net; and a third part which is extended in a third direction crossing the second direction, while getting closer to the cable net.
  • In addition, in the support according to the present invention, an extended line of the first, second and third parts is preferably positioned at the same plane, and an angle between the first part and the second part is an obtuse angle.
  • The first part, the second part and the third part are integral with each other, and the first part, the second part and the third part are connected with each other and are formed in a curve shape.
  • The length of the second part is shorter than the length of the third part.
  • The first part, the second part and the third part are formed in a pipe shape or a rod shape, and the first part, the second part and the third part have circular or rectangular cross sections, respectively.
  • To achieve the above objects, there is provided a security fence which comprises a fence which divides a certain area into a security area and a non-security area; a cable net which is installed at an upper side of the fence; and a support which is fixed at the fence and supports the cable net, wherein the support includes a first part which has a length in a first direction and is fixed at the fence, with the first direction corresponding to a perpendicular direction of the fence; a second part which is extended in a second direction crossing the first direction, while getting further from the cable net; and a third part which is extended in a third direction crossing the second direction, while getting closer to the cable net.
  • The fence includes a net, and poles for supporting the net, and the net is formed of an optical cable.
  • The third part of the support is extended downward on the fence toward the security area.
  • The fence is formed of a block assembly such as bricks or cements, and the cable net is installed over the fence, and an end of the third part of the support is positioned at an extended line of a perpendicular direction axis of the fence.
  • There are further provided a Y-shaped support member installed over the fence; and a barbed wire which is installed at the support member in a spiral shape or a line shape. The third part of the support is extended into the non-security area, crossing a perpendicular direction axis of the fence.

  • MODES FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
  • The preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
  • FIG. 1 is a partial perspective view illustrating a security fence according to a first embodiment of the present invention.
  • In a first embodiment of the present invention, a security fence 10 comprises a fence 20 which divides a certain area into a security area and a non-security area, and a cable net 30 which is installed at an upper side of the fence 20. In addition, a support 24 is installed at the fence 20 to support the cable net 30.
  • In more detail, the fence 30 comprises a plurality of poles 26 fixed at the ground surface, and a net 28 which is supported by the poles 26 and divides a certain area into a security area and a non-security area.
  • The poles 26 may be installed along a boundary between the security area and the non-security area, with the poles being distanced at regular intervals and being fixed at the ground surface.
  • In addition, the net 28 may be preferably formed of an iron wire or an optical cable formed in a zigzag pattern. Supported by the poles 26, the net 28 divides a certain area into a security area and a non-security area for thereby preventing an intruder from entering into the security area.
  • The support 24 is installed at the upper sides of the poles 26 of the fence 20 for thereby allowing the cable net 30 to be fixed over the fence 20. Here, the cable net 30 is preferably formed of an optical cable.
  • The support 24 will be described in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. FIG. 2 is a perspective view illustrating a support adapted to a security fence according to a first embodiment of the present invention of FIG. 1.
  • FIG. 3 is a side cross sectional view illustrating a state that a support of a security fence is coupled to a pole according to a first embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 4 is a view illustrating a pole and a support of a security fence according to a first embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 5 is a view illustrating a center shaft of each section of a support of FIG. 2 according to the present invention.
  • As shown therein, the support 24 comprises a first part 241, a second part 242, and a third part 243. The first part 241 is engaged at the pole 26, and the second part 242 and the third part 243 enable the cable net 30 to be positioned over the fence 20, with the second and third parts 242 and 243 being spaced apart from the cable net 30.
  • The first part 241 is formed to be straight and is extended with a certain length in a first direction S1 (or a perpendicular direction of each pole) for an engagement with the pole 26.
  • As compared to the first part 241, the second part 242 allows the cable net 30 to be positioned over the fence 20 and is arranged to be separated from the cable net 30.
  • Preferably, the second part 242 is extended from the pole 26 to the security area. With a certain length, the second part 242 is extended in a second direction S2 crossing the first direction of the pole 26 in a shape of an oblique line, so that the second part 242 is formed higher than the end of each pole 26.
  • The angle θ formed as the center axes of the first part 241 and the second part 242 meet each other is preferably an obtuse angle. The angle θ is determined within an obtuse angle range based on the position where the first part 242 is fixed at the pole 26 (refer to FIG. 4).
  • The third part 243 allows the ladder not to set against the support 24 and positions the cable net 30 at a height “h” higher than the fence 20.
  • Preferably, the third part 243 is extended from the second part 242 to the non-security area. The third part 243 is extended in a third direction S3 crossing the second direction of the second part 242 so that the cable net 30 is positioned at a height “h” higher than the fence 20.
  • The third part S3 preferably crosses the first direction S1 of the first part 241, and the center axes of the first part 241, the second part 242 and the third part 243 may be on the same plane.
  • Since the third part 243 gets lower on the fence 20 in the direction of the security area, the ladder is not fixed against the support 24 when an intruder sets the ladder against the support 24 and slides along an inclination surface of the third part 243, so that it is possible to effectively prevent the ladder from being set against the support 24.
  • In addition, the second part 242 and the third part 243 of the support 24 are installed toward the security area beyond the fence 20, and the cable net 30 is installed in the first direction S1, a certain empty space is formed between the support 24 and the cable net 30.
  • Therefore, since the intruder transforms the cable net 30 so as to set the ladder against the support 24, transforming the cable net 30 causes an alarm to generate, so that it is possible to basically prevent an illegal intrusion of the intruder.
  • The first part 241, the second part 242 and the third part 243 of the support 24 may be preferably formed of a pipe or a rod, respectively. In this case, the first part 241 and the second part 242, and the third part 243 and the fourth part 244 are preferably connected in curve shapes, respectively.
  • The first part 241, the second part 242 and the third part 243 may be formed to have circular or rectangular cross sections or may be formed in plate shapes.
  • The length d1 of the second part 242 is preferably shorter than the length d2 of the third part 243. When the second part 242 of the support 24 positioned near the fence 20 is shorter than the third part 243 which is extended over the fence 20, the weights of the second part 242 and the third part 243 of the support 24 are concentrated at the first part 241, so that they may be more stably fixed to the support 26, respectively.
  • The support 24 is fixed at the end portion 261 of the support 26 so that the second part 242 and the third part 243 are oriented in the direction of the security area. As shown in FIG. 3, the first part 241 of the support 24 is fixed using the clip 28. In another example, the part 241 of the same may be fixed based on a welding method, a bolt engagement or the like.
  • The barbed wire 43 may be installed over the fence 20. FIG. 6 is a schematic perspective view illustrating a state that the barbed wire 43 is installed over the fence 20.
  • In this case, Y-shaped support members 41 are installed at the ends of the poles 26, with the barbed wires 43 being installed at the Y-shaped support members 41. The Y-shaped support members 41 may be installed based on the bolt engagement or clips. The barbed wires 43 may be installed at the Y-shaped support members 41 using the bolts or clips.
  • Here, the barbed wires 43 may be longitudinally installed at the Y-shaped support members 41 in spiral shapes or may be fixed at the Y-shaped support members 41 in line shapes.
  • In the case that the barbed wire 43 is installed over the fence 20, the end of the third part 243 of the support 24 is positioned in the non-security area rather than in the perpendicular direction axis “O” of the support 26 (refer to FIG. 7).
  • Next, as shown in FIG. 8, in the cable net 30, the cables 12 are fixed by the clips 14 and are formed in zigzag patterns.
  • The cable net 30 is installed at the end of the support 24 in various methods such as a clip or bolt engagement method. The cable net 30 is installed in the direction of the front side of the fence 20, namely, the non-security area.
  • The cable net 30 is formed over the fence 20 with a height “h” and is extended to the ground surface. The cable net 30 is extended in the first direction, so that an empty space is formed between the support 24 and the cable net 30 (refer to FIG. 9).
  • In the case that the barbed wires 43 are installed over the fence 20, since the third part 243 of the support 23 is extended into the non-security area, the cable net 30 may be stably installed without interfering with the barbed wires 43.
  • FIG. 10 is a partial perspective view illustrating a security fence according to a second embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 11 is a side cross sectional view illustrating a security fence according to a second embodiment of the present invention.
  • In the second embodiment of the present invention, a fence 101 is installed at a certain height along a boundary between the security area and the non-security area for thereby defining a security area. A support 240 is installed over the fence 101. The fence 101 may be formed of a block assembly such as bricks or cement or may be formed of fence itself. In the second embodiment of the present invention, the support 240 may be formed in the same manner as the first embodiment of the present invention. So, the detailed descriptions of the same will be omitted.
  • The third part 240 c of the support 240 is positioned at the same plane as the perpendicular direction axis “O” of the fence 101.
  • The cable net 200 is extended in a downward direction in a state that it is installed at the end of the support 240. At this time, the cable net 300 is extended with a length corresponding to the portion just above the fence 101.
  • Therefore, the security fence according to the second embodiment of the present invention is implemented in a structure that the cable net 300 is installed over the fence 101 in a state that the fence 101 is installed along the security area and the non-security area. Here, the support 240 is fixed over the fence 101 in the direction of the security area, so that an empty space is formed between the support 240 and the cable net 300.
  • The intruder cannot set the ladder against the support 240 like in the first embodiment of the present invention, and since an empty space is formed between the support 240 and the cable net 300, it is impossible to set the ladder against the cable net 300.
  • In the present invention of the present invention, the cable net may be formed of an optical fiber. In this case, an alarm generator 71 may be installed at an end of the support for thereby generating an alarm by transforming the optical cable net when the ladder is set against the cable net.
  • As described above, in the present invention, since the support is bent toward the security area, an empty space is formed between the cable net and the support, so that the intruder cannot enter into the security area through the security fence by setting a ladder against the support.
  • Since the second part of the support positioned near the fence is shorter than the third part which allows the cable net to extend over the fence, the weight of the support is concentrated at the first part, so that the support can be stably fixed at the fence.
  • In the support of the present invention, since the third part is extended downward toward the security area on the fence, when the intruder sets a ladder against the support, the ladder slides along the inclination surface of the third part, so that the ladder cannot be set against the support.
  • Since the support according to the present invention is spaced apart from the cable net, even when strong rain and wind are blown, the cable net is prevented from being damaged as it is caught by the support.
  • As the present invention may be embodied in several forms without departing from the spirit or essential characteristics thereof, it should also be understood that the above-described examples are not limited by any of the details of the foregoing description, unless otherwise specified, but rather should be construed broadly within its spirit and scope as defined in the appended claims, and therefore all changes and modifications that fall within the meets and bounds of the claims, or equivalences of such meets and bounds are therefore intended to be embraced by the appended claims.

Claims (19)

1. In a support installed at a security fence which includes a fence dividing a certain area into a security area and a non-security area and a cable net installed at an upper side of the fence, a support for a security fence, comprising:
a first part which has a length in a first direction and is fixed at the fence, with the first direction corresponding to a perpendicular direction of the fence;
a second part which is extended in a second direction crossing the first direction, while getting further from the cable net; and
a third part which is extended in a third direction crossing the second direction, while getting closer to the cable net.
2. The support of claim 1, wherein the center axes of the first part, the second part and the third part are positioned at the same plane.
3. The support of claim 2, wherein an angle between the first part and the second part is an obtuse angle.
4. The support of claim 1, wherein said first part, said second part and said third part are integral with each other.
5. The support of claim 4, wherein said first part, said second part and said third part are connected with each other and are formed in a curve shape.
6. The support of claim 1, wherein the length of said second part is shorter than the length of said third part.
7. The support of claim 6, wherein said first part, said second part and said third part are formed in a pipe shape or a rod shape.
8. The support of claim 6, wherein said first part, said second part and said third part have circular or rectangular cross sections, respectively.
9. The support of claim 6, wherein said first part, said second part and said third part are formed in plate shapes, respectively.
10. A security fence, comprising:
a fence which divides a certain area into a security area and a non-security area;
a cable net which is installed at an upper side of the fence; and
a support which is fixed at the fence and supports the cable net,
wherein said support includes:
a first part which has a length in a first direction and is fixed at the fence, with the first direction corresponding to a perpendicular direction of the fence;
a second part which is extended in a second direction crossing the first direction, while getting further from the cable net; and
a third part which is extended in a third direction crossing the second direction, while getting closer to the cable net.
11. The fence of claim 10, wherein said fence includes a net, and poles for supporting the net.
12. The fence of claim 11, wherein said net is formed of an optical cable.
13. The fence of claim 10, wherein said third part of the support is extended downward on the fence toward the security area.
14. The fence of claim 10, wherein said fence is formed of a block assembly such as bricks or cements.
15. The fence of claim 14, wherein said cable net is installed over the fence.
16. The fence of claim 14, wherein an end of the third part of the support is positioned at an extended line of a perpendicular direction axis of the fence.
17. The fence of claim 10, further comprising:
a Y-shaped support member installed over the fence; and
a barbed wire which is installed at the support member in a spiral shape or a line shape.
18. The fence of claim 17, wherein said third part of the support is extended into the non-security area, crossing a perpendicular direction axis of the fence.
19. The fence of claim 10, wherein the length of said second part is shorter than the third part of the support.
