Abstract
A golf ball includes a ball body having a central portion formed with a through hole. Thus, the golf ball produces whistle like audible sound by provision of the through hole of the ball body during rotation of the ball body after the golf ball is hit, thereby enhancing the playing amusement of the golf ball. In addition, the golfer can find the location of the golf ball by the audible sound produced by the ball body so as to shorten the time required for searching for the golf ball, thereby facilitating the golfer playing the golf ball.
Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates to a golf ball, and more particularly to a golf ball having an enhanced amusement effect.
- 2. Description of the Related Art
- A
conventional golf ball 1 in accordance with the prior art shown inFIG. 2 comprises aball body 11 having a surface formed with a plurality ofdimples 12. However, thegolf ball 1 only has a single function, thereby greatly decreasing the playing amusement of the golf ball. In addition, the golfer cannot find the location of the golf ball exactly by viewing the travel direction of the golf ball, so that the golfer needs much time to search for the golf ball, thereby causing inconvenience to the golfer when playing the golf ball. - In accordance with the present invention, there is provided a golf ball, comprising a ball body having a central portion formed with a through hole.
- The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a golf ball having an enhanced amusement effect.
- Another objective of the present invention is to provide a golf ball, wherein the golf ball produces whistle like audible sound by provision of the through hole of the ball body during rotation of the ball body after the golf ball is hit, thereby enhancing the playing amusement of the golf ball.
- A further objective of the present invention is to provide a golf ball, wherein the golfer can find the location of the golf ball by the audible sound produced by the ball body so as to shorten the time required for searching for the golf ball, thereby facilitating the golfer playing the golf ball.
- Further benefits and advantages of the present invention will become apparent after a careful reading of the detailed description with appropriate reference to the accompanying drawings.
-
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a golf ball in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention. -
FIG. 2 is a perspective view of a conventional golf ball in accordance with the prior art. - Referring to
FIG. 1 , agolf ball 2 in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises aball body 21 having a surface formed with a plurality ofdimples 22. - The
ball body 21 has a central portion formed with athrough hole 23. The throughhole 23 of theball body 21 has a substantially circular shape. The throughhole 23 of theball body 21 is extended in the radial direction of theball body 21 and extended through a whole radial diameter of theball body 21. - When in use, the through
hole 23 of theball body 21 faces the golfer. Thus, the air passes through the throughhole 23 of theball body 21 during rotation of theball body 21 after thegolf ball 2 is hit, so that theball body 21 produces whistle like audible sound by friction between theball body 21 and the air. - Accordingly, the
golf ball 2 produces whistle like audible sound by provision of the throughhole 23 of theball body 21 during rotation of theball body 21 after thegolf ball 2 is hit, thereby enhancing the playing amusement of thegolf ball 2. In addition, the golfer can find the location of thegolf ball 2 by the audible sound produced by theball body 21 so as to shorten the time required for searching for thegolf ball 2, thereby facilitating the golfer playing thegolf ball 2. - Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment(s) as mentioned above, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention. It is, therefore, contemplated that the appended claim or claims will cover such modifications and variations that fall within the true scope of the invention.
Claims (6)
1. A golf ball, comprising a ball body having a central portion formed with a through hole.
2. The golf ball in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the through hole of the ball body has a substantially circular shape.
3. The golf ball in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the through hole of the ball body is extended in a radial direction of the ball body.
4. The golf ball in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the through hole of the ball body is extended through a whole radial diameter of the ball body.
5. The golf ball in accordance with claim 1 , wherein air passes through the through hole of the ball body during rotation of the ball body after the golf ball is hit, so that the ball body produces whistle like audible sound by friction between the ball body and the air.
6. The golf ball in accordance with claim 5 , wherein a golfer can find a location of the golf ball by the audible sound produced by the ball body so as to shorten the time required for searing for the golf ball.
