Description
- The disclosure relates to game devices and more particularly pertains to a new game device for playing golf at night.
- An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a plurality of goals. The plurality of goals may be arranged on a support surface. Each of the goals is comprised of a phosphorescent material to be visible at night. A plurality of golf clubs is provided. Each of the golf clubs is comprised of a phosphorescent material to be visible at night. A selected one of the golf clubs is selected by a player. A plurality of balls is provided. A selected one of the balls may be placed on the support surface. Thus, the player may strike the selected ball with the selected golf club. Each of the balls is comprised of a phosphorescent material to be visible at night.
- There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
- The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
- The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
-
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a golf game assembly according to an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 2 is a perspective in-use view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 3 is a top perspective in-use view of an embodiment of the disclosure. - With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
FIGS. 1 through 3 thereof, a new game device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by thereference numeral 10 will be described. - As best illustrated in
FIGS. 1 through 3 , thegolf game assembly 10 generally comprises a plurality ofgoals 12. The plurality ofgoals 12 may be arranged on asupport surface 14. Thesupport surface 14 may comprise a yard at a home or the like. Each of thegoals 12 is comprised of a phosphorescent material such that each of thegoals 12 is visible at night. - Each of the
goals 12 comprises aring 16. Thering 16 may be positioned on thesupport surface 14. Thering 16 may have a diameter of at least six cm. Each of thegoals 12 further comprises astake 18 that has abottom end 20 and atop end 22. Thestake 18 may have a length of at least thirty cm. - The
bottom end 20 of thestake 18 tapers to a point to pierce thesupport surface 14. Thestake 18 is centrally positioned in thering 16 when thestake 18 is manipulated to pierce thesupport surface 14. Aglobe 24 is coupled to thetop end 22 to enhance visibility of thestake 18. Theglobe 24 may resemble a golf ball or the like.Indicia 26 may be printed theglobe 24 corresponding to eachgoal 12. Theindicia 26 may comprise numbers or the like. - A plurality of
golf clubs 28 is provided and each of thegolf clubs 28 may be manipulated. Each of thegolf clubs 28 is comprised of a phosphorescent material such that each of thegolf clubs 28 is visible at night. Each of thegolf clubs 28 includes a shaft 30 and ahead 32. A selected one of thegolf clubs 28 is selected by aplayer 34. Each of thegolf clubs 28 may comprise a pitching wedge. The game may be played by adults and children. - A plurality of
balls 36 is provided. A selected one of theballs 36 may be placed on thesupport surface 14 thereby facilitating theplayer 34 to strike the selectedball 36 with the selectedgolf club 28. Each of theballs 36 is comprised of a phosphorescent material such that each of theballs 36 is visible at night. Moreover, each of theballs 36 may have a unique color with respect to each other. The plurality ofballs 36 comprises a set ofgolf balls 38 and a set ofwiffle balls 40. - In use, the
goals 12 are arranged on thesupport surface 14 in a selected arrangement. Eachplayer 34 chooses aball 36 and agolf club 28. Eachplayer 34 takes turns striking theselected ball 36 toward each of thegoals 12 in a chosen consecutive order. The consecutive order may be based on theindicia 26 on theglobe 24 corresponding to eachgoal 12. The game is played during night time and at daytime. Eachplayer 34 chooses agolf ball 38 during regular game play. Eachplayer 34 chooses awiffle ball 40 during practice game play. - Each
player 34 is given a first attempt to strike theselected ball 36 into eachgoal 12. Eachplayer 34 is awarded three points when the selectedball 36 strikes thestake 18. Eachplayer 34 is awarded two points when the selectedball 36 is knocked into thering 16 without striking thestake 18. Eachplayer 34 is given a second attempt to strike the selectedball 36 into eachgoal 12 when theplayer 34 fails to place the selectedball 36 in thegoal 12 on the first attempt. Eachplayer 34 is given one point when theselected ball 36 is knocked into thering 16 on the second attempt. Each player's 36 turn is over when eachplayer 34 fails to knock theselected ball 36 into thegoal 12 on the second attempt. - With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
- Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
