Description

    TECHNICAL FIELD
  • The present invention relates to a wiping pad for private parts (feminine hygienic pad), and more particularly to a feminine hygienic pad for use by females to clean the private parts (vaginal region) after urination.
  • BACKGROUND ART
  • By the nature of bodily structure, females suffer from urine remaining on the vaginal region (the private parts) after urination, and must dispose of such residual urine in order to maintain cleanliness of the vaginal region. Such cleansing after using the bathroom is generally performed using conventional toilet paper, etc.
  • The use of such toilet paper, however, may irritate user's skin and causes discomfort to the user even if the toilet paper is of a high quality. Furthermore, if separated particles of the toilet paper enter the vaginal canal, they may cause various feminine diseases, such as, uterine inflammatory disease, uterine cervical cancer, and the like. Such damage caused by the separated particles of the toilet paper is exacerbated when the particles come into contact with other vaginal secretions, menstrual discharge, or the like.
  • The above described problems of toilet paper may be solved to some extent through the use of a bidet. However, bidets are not widely available as yet, and the use of toilet paper is frequently inevitable. Therefore, large portion of the female population feels keenly the necessity of a disposable article (hereinafter, referred to as “wiping pad for private parts” or “feminine hygienic pad”) for use after urination, however, no satisfactory feminine hygienic pad is present at this time.
  • DISCLOSURE OF INVENTION
  • Therefore, the present invention has been made in view of the above feminine sanitary problems with regard to removal of residual urine after urination, and it is an object of the present invention to provide a wiping pad for private parts which can prevent separated particles of the pad from remaining on the vaginal region and can exhibit enhanced absorption of residual urine on the vaginal region.
  • It is another object of the present invention to provide a wiping pad for private parts which can eliminate the possibility of urine contacting the hands during use.
  • It is a further object of the present invention to provide a wiping pad for private parts which can be fabricated and packaged into individual-use units, so as to be used separately and stored in a sanitary state, and to be conveniently carried.
  • It is yet another object of the present invention to provide a wiping pad for private parts which is well suited to removal of residual urine after urination during menstruation.
  • In accordance with the present invention, the above and other objects can be accomplished by the provision of a wiping pad for private parts comprising: an absorptive layer for absorbing urine; a vaginal contact layer for coating one surface of the absorptive layer in order to prevent the absorptive layer from coming into direct contact with the vaginal region while enabling absorption of urine on the absorptive layer; and a hand contact layer for coating the other surface of the absorptive layer in order to prevent the absorptive layer from coming into direct contact with the hands, whereby the pad is used to clean urine remaining on the vaginal region after urination.
  • Preferably, the absorptive layer may be made of toilet paper or cotton.
  • Preferably, the vaginal contact layer may be made of porous non-woven fabric or gauze.
  • Preferably, the hand contact layer may be made of water resistant synthetic resin film or water resistant non-woven fabric.
  • Preferably, the wiping pad for private parts may further comprise an envelope for packaging the pad into an individual-use unit.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS
  • The above and other objects, features and other advantages of the present invention will be more clearly understood from the following detailed description taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, in which:
  • FIG. 1 is a perspective view illustrating an exemplary wiping pad for private parts in accordance with the present invention;

  • FIG. 4 is a perspective view illustrating a packaged state of the wiping pad for private parts in accordance with the present invention.
  • BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
  • Now, a preferred embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. The preferred embodiment has been made only for a better understanding of wiping pad for private parts in accordance with the present invention, and is not intended to limit the scope and sprit of the invention.
  • FIG. 1 is a perspective view illustrating an exemplary wiping pad for private parts in accordance with the present invention. FIG. 2 is a cross sectional view taken along the line A-A shown in FIG. 1. FIG. 3 is a front view illustrating example usage of the wiping pad for private parts in accordance with the present invention. FIG. 4 is a perspective view illustrating a packaged state of the wiping pad for private parts in accordance with the present invention.
  • As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the wiping pad for private parts in accordance with the present invention, designated as reference numeral 1, comprises three layers, namely, an absorptive layer 10, a vaginal contact layer 20, and a hand contact layer 30, which are vertically stacked.
  • The absorptive layer 10 serves to absorb urine remaining on the vaginal region, and may be made of any non-toxic material which has a high absorptive capacity. Such an absorptive layer 10 is preferably formed by plying paper sheets, widely used as toilet paper or cosmetic tissue, in many folds, or may be formed of cotton.
  • The vaginal contact layer 20 serves as a coating layer applied to one surface of the absorptive layer 10, so as to prevent the absorptive layer 10 from coming into direct contact with the vaginal region without substantially deteriorating the absorptive capacity of the absorptive layer 10. That is, the vaginal contact layer 20 serves to prevent any problems possibly caused by the absorptive layer 10 coming into direct contact with the vaginal region.
  • The vaginal contact layer 20 is made of any non-toxic material, which prevents not only the absorptive layer 10 from coming into direct contact with the vaginal region, but also deterioration in the absorptive capacity of the absorptive layer 10. An example of the material of the vaginal contact part 20 includes porous non-woven fabric, gauze, or the like, which can pass urine.
  • The hand contact layer 30 serves as a coating layer applied to the other surface of the absorptive layer 10, so as to prevent the absorptive layer 10 from coming into direct contact with the hands during use of the pad 1, thereby preventing the urine, absorbed by the absorptive layer 10, from coming into contact with the hands.
  • The hand contact layer 30 is preferably made of a non-toxic and water-resistant material. For example, the material of the hand contact layer 30 may be selected from among water-resistant synthetic resin films, water-resistant non-woven fabrics, etc.
  • The above described wiping pad for private parts 1 in accordance with the present invention is formed by plying the vaginal contact layer 20 and the hand contact layer 30, respectively, above and beneath the absorptive layer 10, and bonding them together along their peripheries.
  • As shown in FIG. 3, the wiping pad for private parts 1 of the present invention has a sufficient size for allowing the user to clean the vaginal region while gripping the pad 1 by hand without the possibility of urine contacting the hands during use. For example, the pad 1 may be 70 mm to 80 mm in width and 100 mm to 110 mm in length.
  • During use of the wiping pad for private parts 1 according to the present invention, as shown in FIG. 3, the wiping pad for private parts 1 is gripped by hand to clean the vaginal region so that the vaginal contact layer 20 upwardly faces the vaginal region in a state wherein the hand contact layer 30 comes into contact with the hand.
  • As shown in FIG. 4, in order to maintain sanitary state of the wiping pad for private parts 1 of the present invention, it is preferable that the pad 1 is packaged in an envelope 40 for individual-use thereof. In use, the envelope 40 is easily tearable to expose the pad 1.
  • As apparent from the above description, the present invention provides a wiping pad for private parts which can clean residual urine on the vaginal region with a high absorptive capacity, and can prevent separated particles of the pad from remaining on the vaginal region and prevent the urine from coming into contact with the hands, resulting in enhanced sanitary use as compared to toilet paper.
  • Further, the wiping pad for private parts according to the present invention can be more effectively used to dispose of urine, vaginal secretions, menstrual discharge, or others, difficult to removal using general toilet paper.
  • Furthermore, the wiping pad for private parts according to the present invention is packaged in an envelope for individual-use thereof, so as to be conveniently carried. Here, the envelope is easily tearable for convenient use of the pad. In this way, the pad can be maintained in the optimal sanitary state for use in removal of urine after urination.
  • Although the preferred embodiments of the present invention have been disclosed for illustrative purposes, those skilled in the art will appreciate that various modifications, additions and substitutions are possible, without departing from the scope and spirit of the invention as disclosed in the accompanying claims.
